Site Base, Room 301—the Supreme Executive’s lounge.

Levi sat comfortably in his ergonomic chair, playing with a card that emitted a faint purple glow.

This was the reward he had just received for completing the mission: [Random Agent Recruitment Voucher].

“While Ada Wong is versatile—acting as both a secretary and a shock trooper—she can’t be everywhere at once.” Levi looked out at the pitch-black night through the window.

“As the base expands and the number of contained objects increases, I need a more professional, pure military commander.” Ada Wong excelled at infiltration, intelligence gathering, and special operations.

While she could handle frontline combat or lead units of Class C personnel in tactical containment missions, she wasn’t a top-tier specialist in those specific fields.

“System, use the recruitment voucher.” Levi commanded silently.

The purple card in his hand instantly shattered.

It transformed into countless points of light that converged in the center of the room.

A suffocating, murderous aura appeared out of thin air, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees.

It wasn’t a physical chill, but a sort of malevolent pressure emanating from someone who had crawled out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

The light dissipated.

A fully armed figure appeared before Levi.

He wore dark gray heavy tactical body armor, a signature gas mask, and a Kevlar helmet.

Two crimson glows peered out from behind his goggles.

He was laden with various tactical grenades, magazines, and an unknown submachine gun.

Even standing perfectly still, he felt like a loaded heavy machine gun, ready to tear apart any living thing in sight at a moment’s notice.

[Ding!

Congratulations, Host, on successfully recruiting Agent: HUNK!] [Codename: The Grim Reaper.] [Source: Resident Evil Universe (Umbrella Security Service, Alpha Team Leader).] [Abilities: Master Survivalist, Special Tactics Command Expert, CQC Master, Cold-blooded Killer.] [Loyalty: 100%.] “HUNK…” Levi’s eyes lit up.

Now, this was a truly ruthless character.

In the world of Resident Evil, there was a saying: “No matter how difficult the mission, even if every teammate dies, HUNK will return alive with the sample.” He was an absolute mission-first pragmatist—cold, efficient, and loyal.

He was the perfect choice for a team leader tailored for the high-risk environment of the Foundation.

“Sir.” HUNK’s voice came through the gas mask, sounding muffled and mechanical.

“Alpha Team Leader reporting for duty.” “Welcome to the Foundation, HUNK.” Levi stood up and walked over to the Grim Reaper.

“The environment here is even worse than Raccoon City, but I believe you can adapt.” “As long as there is a mission, I will complete it.” HUNK offered no superfluous words; he didn’t even ask where he was.

He simply waited for orders.

“Very well.” Levi pointed toward the floor.

“Starting today, you will serve as the provisional leader of the Foundation’s Mobile Task Force Unit 1.

Your mission is to train those Class C personnel.

Turn them from cannon fodder into qualified containment specialists.” “Understood.” HUNK nodded.

“Give me one week, and I will filter out the qualified products.

As for the failures…” He didn’t finish the sentence, but Levi understood his meaning.

In HUNK’s eyes, there were only the living and the dead.

There was no room for the weak.

*** The next morning, 7:00 AM.

Accustomed to early mornings, Natasha woke up in her large, comfortable bed.

Even though she had been hit by hacking attacks and shocked by electromagnetic rifles the previous night, preventing her from falling asleep until the early hours of the morning, her top-tier agent biological clock still woke her up on time.

“A beautiful day begins with gathering intelligence.” After washing up, Natasha intentionally changed into a form-fitting yoga outfit with a loose hoodie over it, creating the image of the “girl-next-door out for an early jog.” She pushed open her door and happened to see Levi coming out of Room 301 across the hall.

“Morning, Mr.

Landlord,” Natasha said with her signature charming smile.

“Did you sleep well?” “Not bad.” Levi yawned, appearing completely devoid of the air of a mysterious organization leader.

“There were just a few restless rats last night, but luckily they’ve been cleared out.” Natasha’s smile stiffened for a split second.

She knew Levi was referring to her destroyed computer.

“Is that so?

There really are a lot of rats in Hell’s Kitchen,” Natasha played dumb.

“By the way, I saw a simple kitchen on the first floor.

Mind if I go make a cup of coffee?” “Of course, help yourself.” The two walked downstairs together.

As they reached the first-floor lobby, the rich aroma of breakfast wafted over.

Ada Wong was sitting at the front desk holding a newspaper, with hot sandwiches and coffee on the table.

Besides her, someone else was standing in the corner of the lobby.

The man had his back to the stairs, wearing a black tactical vest and cargo pants, wiping a dagger.

Though he wasn’t wearing his gas mask, the dangerous aura radiating from his back made the hair on the back of Natasha’s neck stand up.

This was an instinctive warning from her body.

This man had killed.

And he had killed many.

Perhaps even more than she had.

“Hmm?” Sensing the gaze behind him, the man spun around abruptly.

It was a weathered Caucasian face with eyes as sharp as a hawk’s.

When his gaze fell on Natasha, there was no hint of admiration or emotion—only pure evaluation.

Evaluating the threat level.

Evaluating weaknesses.

Evaluating how many seconds it would take to kill her.

*Shing!* Almost subconsciously, Natasha’s muscles tensed as she shifted into a defensive stance.

“Relax, Miss Rushman.” Levi smiled and patted Natasha’s shoulder, breaking the frozen atmosphere.

“Allow me to introduce our apartment’s new…

Head of Security, HUNK.” “HUNK, this is a new tenant, Miss Rushman.

She’s a photographer.” “Head of Security?” A stampede of curses ran through Natasha’s mind.

*You’re calling this killing machine that crawled out of a mountain of corpses a ‘Head of Security’?* If this man were in SHIELD, he would be at least a Level 9 agent, an MTF ace!

“A photographer?” HUNK coldly glanced at Natasha’s hands.

Though they were well-maintained, he could still see the calluses from prolonged firearm use.

“Steady hands.

Good for pulling triggers.” HUNK dropped that cryptic remark, put away his dagger, grabbed two sandwiches from the table, and turned to walk through the hidden door leading to the basement.

“Sorry, he’s a bit of an introvert.

Not much of a talker.” Levi shrugged and walked to the front desk to pick up a coffee.

“Want a cup?

Ada’s quite skilled.” “…Thanks.” Natasha took the coffee, her palms sweating slightly.

First a high-tech female agent, now a killing machine, plus the unfathomable Levi.

Just how many monsters were hidden in this small apartment building?

“By the way, Miss Rushman, as a photographer, you must follow the news quite closely, right?” Levi suddenly asked.

“Of course, it’s a professional habit,” Natasha said, forcing herself to remain calm.

“Then take a look at this.” Levi pointed to the newspaper in Ada Wong’s hand.

The front-page headline featured a large photograph.

It showed a scruffy, exhausted-looking man stepping off a military transport plane with Colonel Rhodes standing beside him.

The headline was in bold, striking letters: [TONY STARK’S MIRACULOUS SURVIVAL!

SAFELY RETURNED TO NEW YORK TODAY!] “It seems our billionaire has some good luck.” Levi took a sip of coffee, his eyes flickering.

“It just so happens I’m a bit short on cash lately.

I’m thinking of finding a big client to talk business with.” Hearing this, Natasha’s heart skipped a beat.

Talk business?

Was the Foundation’s target Stark Industries?

If that was the case, SHIELD had to intervene.

After all, Tony Stark was not just a vital asset; he was the son of Howard Stark and a descendant of one of SHIELD’s founders.

“Does the landlord know Mr.

Stark?” Natasha probed.

“I don’t.” Levi smiled and set down his coffee cup.

“But he’ll know me soon enough.” “After all, there are some things that only someone who has walked the line between life and death—like him—knows how to cherish.” With that, Levi turned toward the basement door.

“Ada, get the car ready.

We’re going to the Stark Industries press conference.” “Yes, Sir.” Watching the two leave, Natasha immediately pulled out a backup micro-communicator.

“Coulson, this is Natasha.” “The target is on the move.

They’re heading to the Stark press conference.” “Also…

look up someone for me.

Codename HUNK.

Characteristics: special tactics expert, extremely dangerous.”
