The evening wind carried the bitter smell of gunpowder across Manhattan.

Behind Emily, the core of her jellyfish-type rigging fully opened.

Pale blue thrusters left thin trails of azure light in the sky as she shot forward like a ghostly afterimage, racing toward Harlem at terrifying speed.Full novel: Marvel: The Siren’s Awakening — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Since she was already here, she could not just stand by and watch like a normal spectator.

Emily lifted her hand and swept her fingertips through the air.

Pale blue code burst open in front of her like flowing water, and Antix’s combat sequence permissions activated instantly.

A cold notification echoed inside her mind.

The space beside her twisted slightly, and a huge dark shadow slowly took shape.

It was Breaker II.

Breaker II was a top-tier firepower unit within the Siren Enforcer sequence, comparable to a heavy battleship.

Unlike Explorer II, Breaker II’s rigging was much larger and more oppressive.

Its black-gray armor was covered in sharp, cold mechanical lines.

Blue-black fluorescent patterns glowed across the body like dangerous veins in the night.

Eight main gun barrels were spread symmetrically across the mechanical arms on both sides, opening like spider legs.

Around each muzzle, faint blue charging rings rotated silently.

At the center of the massive hull sat Breaker II’s main body: a silver-haired girl with straight bangs.

A monocle rested over her right eye.

Her face was expressionless, but her presence carried the heavy pressure of a battleship waiting to fire.

Beside her, Explorer II was already on standby.

Compared to Breaker II, Explorer II was smaller and faster, like a destroyer.

Its optical cloaking was fully active, and it had already moved toward the Harlem battlefield, continuously sending real-time footage into Emily’s consciousness.

“Explorer II, maintain silent reconnaissance and mark all civilian evacuation routes,” Emily ordered through the combat link, her voice calm and emotionless.

“Breaker II, activate optical cloaking and follow me to the designated position.

Warm up the fire-control system.

Load armor-piercing shells and stand by.”

[Command received.

Execution confirmed.]

As the mechanical voice faded, Breaker II’s massive form vanished into the night.

Even the roar of its engines was swallowed completely.

Only the hidden main gun barrels continued to turn slowly, ready to unleash destruction at any moment.

Emily looked at the battleship unit disappearing beside her, and a faint smile touched her lips.

A pure engine of destruction like Abomination would eventually be defeated by the Hulk even without her help.

That much was certain.

But Harlem would be torn apart in the process, and countless innocent people could die before the battle ended.

Since she was already here, she might as well help.

It would reduce casualties and give her a proper chance to test the combat power of a Siren battleship unit.

A perfect win-win situation.

Besides, it felt slightly wrong to watch a future Avenger get pinned to the ground and beaten.

At the same time, Harlem had already become a living nightmare.

As night fell over Midtown Manhattan West, the once calm neighborhood filled with alarms, screams, and the roar of military engines.

A lieutenant on duty leaned against a Humvee, his unfinished cigarette still between his fingers.

Suddenly, the moonlight above him darkened.

He raised his head in confusion.

“Huh?

What’s going—”

Before he could finish, his face turned white.

A huge shadow was falling from the sky like a meteor.

“Enemy attack!”

BOOM!

A deafening explosion swept through the entire street.

The moment the shadow struck the ground, the asphalt within a hundred-meter radius rippled like waves on the ocean.

Cracks spread wildly in every direction like a giant spiderweb.

A circular shockwave exploded outward, sending five Humvees and two Stryker armored vehicles flying more than ten meters away.

The vehicles crashed into nearby buildings and exploded into burning wreckage.

Soldiers were thrown into the air like ragdolls.

Their screams were buried under the roar of the blast.

As the dust slowly cleared, the surviving soldiers crawled from the rubble, trembling as they raised their weapons toward the crater.

A hideous bluish-gray figure rose from the pit.

Heavy footsteps struck the broken pavement.

Thump.

Thump.

Each step made the ground tremble.

Searchlights from circling helicopters swept across the crater, finally revealing the monster’s full appearance.

It stood more than four meters tall.

Its body was covered with rock-hard muscles.

Sharp bone spurs jutted from its spine.

Its monstrous face twisted into a cruel expression, and its yellow eyes burned with bloodthirsty madness.

It was Abomination.

“It’s the Hulk!” a sergeant shouted in panic.

“Fire!

Open fire with everything!”

In the next second, the entire street erupted with gunfire.

Dozens of rifles and more than ten .50 caliber heavy machine guns mounted on armored vehicles opened fire at the same time.

Red-hot bullets poured toward Abomination like a storm.

Clang!

Clang!

The bullets struck his hardened skin and sparked, but they did not leave a single real wound.

Abomination looked down at the bullet marks on his chest.

Then he roared.

The sound shook the street.

He charged forward with terrifying speed, completely ignoring his massive size.

In one dash, he crashed straight through the soldiers’ defensive line.

With one swing of his thick arm, he tossed a Stryker armored vehicle aside like a toy.

It slammed into a wall and exploded.

Then he grabbed a broken lamppost and swung it like a baseball bat, sending three soldiers flying before they could even scream.

The military position collapsed in seconds.

Inside the helicopter carrying General Ross, the general watched his soldiers being slaughtered below.

Veins bulged on his forehead as he punched the metal wall of the cabin.

“Damn it!

What the hell is that monster?”

He grabbed a nearby technician and shouted, “Where is Banner?

Where is Bruce Banner?

Can’t he turn into the Hulk?

Get him down there!”

“General!” the technician replied with a pale face.

“Mr.

Banner says he won’t transform unless we put him on the ground!”

On the other side of the cabin, Betty Ross gripped the handrail tightly.

She looked down at Abomination’s rampage, then turned toward Bruce Banner.

He was pale, exhausted, but his eyes were calm.

Tears fell from Betty’s eyes.

“Bruce, don’t.

It’s too dangerous.”

Banner looked at her and gave her a gentle, reassuring smile.

Then he looked at the neighborhood being destroyed below.

Civilians were running in every direction.

Buildings were burning.

Soldiers were dying.

Abomination was tearing through everything in his path.

Banner took a deep breath and turned to General Ross.

“Open the door and let me down,” he said calmly.

“Only the Hulk can stop him.”

General Ross stared at him for a moment.

Then he clenched his teeth and shouted, “Open the rear hatch!

Lower the altitude!”

The helicopter slowly descended until it hovered about twenty meters above the ground.

The rear hatch opened, and a violent gale rushed into the cabin.

Banner stood at the edge.

He gave Betty one final look.

Then he jumped.

“Bruce!” Betty screamed.

Banner’s body fell rapidly toward the ruined street.

THUD!

He slammed into the ground and created a shallow crater.

For a few seconds, everything went silent.

Abomination turned toward the crash site, ready to crush the reckless fool under his foot.

Then a roar filled with endless rage exploded from the pit.

“HULK!”

A massive green figure burst out and slammed into Abomination’s chest.

The four-meter-tall monster was sent flying backward.

He crashed into an apartment building across the street, smashing through the wall and bringing rubble down like rain.

Hulk stood in the middle of the road, his green muscles bulging and his chest rising heavily.

His furious eyes locked onto Abomination.

He roared again.

The battle between Hulk and Abomination had officially begun.

High above the battlefield, Emily hovered within her optical cloaking barrier and watched the two monsters face each other below.

She raised an eyebrow.

As expected, a classic scene was truly different when seen in person.

Watching it in a movie was one thing.

Seeing the real impact, hearing the real shockwaves, and feeling that raw, world-shaking power from hundreds of meters away was something else entirely.

Through Explorer II, Emily observed the entire battlefield clearly.

Hulk had explosive strength, but he had only just transformed and had not fully entered his rhythm yet.

Abomination, on the other hand, possessed strength close to Hulk’s and still retained the combat instincts of a trained special forces soldier.

Soon, the situation began to shift.

Abomination rushed out of the ruins, dodged Hulk’s punch, and smashed a fist into Hulk’s face.

Hulk staggered backward.

Abomination lunged forward, grabbed Hulk by the ankle, and slammed him into the ground like a sack of flour before throwing him through another wall.

Hulk roared and climbed up, charging again.

Their bullets could not seriously injure Hulk, but they kept hitting his back and disrupting his movements.

Emily stared at the scene and silently complained.

What terrible teammates.

Their weapons could not hurt Abomination at all, but they were perfectly capable of disturbing Hulk at the worst possible moments.

Just as Abomination grabbed a broken piece of rebar and prepared to stab the pinned Hulk, Emily finally stopped waiting.

Her voice entered the combat link, cold and sharp.

“Breaker II, deactivate optical cloaking.

Lock onto Abomination.

Armor-piercing shells.

One volley.”

[Command confirmed.

Main gun charging complete.

Fire.]

The moment the command was given, Breaker II appeared in the night sky over Harlem.

Its black-and-blue heavy rigging gleamed under the searchlights.

All eight main gun barrels turned at the same time and locked onto Abomination.

The blue glow around the muzzles surged to its peak.

BOOM!

Eight cannon blasts merged into one thunderous roar.

Armor-piercing shells tore through the sky like falling meteors, leaving bright trails behind them as they descended toward Abomination.

Abomination heard the sound above him.

He tried to look up.

Too late.

The barrage struck.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

The shells exploded across his body one after another.

Their terrifying penetration force tore through his hardened skin, shattered several bone spurs, and sent dark blood flying into the air.

The force lifted him off the ground and threw him more than ten meters away.

His body scraped across the road, carving a deep trench into the asphalt.

For a moment, the battlefield went completely silent.

The soldiers stopped firing.

The helicopters stopped circling aggressively.

Even Hulk paused.

Everyone stared at the strange battleship-like girl who had suddenly appeared above the battlefield.

Inside the helicopter, General Ross rushed to the window.

His eyes widened as he shouted into the communicator.

“What is that thing?

Where did that fire-support unit come from?

Where was the radar warning?”

“General!” the technician shouted back in panic.

“We can’t scan it!

There is no signal on radar!

It appeared out of nowhere!”

Even Hulk looked confused.

He climbed out of the rubble, shook his head, and stared at Breaker II.

His green eyes narrowed slightly as he released a low, questioning growl.

High in the sky, Emily watched the quiet battlefield and smiled with satisfaction.

Not bad.

Battleship-grade firepower was indeed suitable for thick-skinned monsters.

She flicked her finger and issued another order.

“Breaker II, maintain position and continue fire suppression.

Target only Abomination.

Do not harm Hulk or civilians.

Explorer II, mark every military firing position.

If anyone fires at Hulk again, interfere with their weapon systems directly.”

[Command received.

Execution confirmed.]

Breaker II’s main guns began to rotate again, locking onto Abomination as he struggled to rise from the broken road.

The pale blue charging rings lit up once more.

Abomination finally reacted.

He looked at Breaker II, then released a furious roar.

The wounds on his body were not fatal, but the pain and humiliation ignited his rage completely.

He abandoned Hulk and charged toward Breaker II.

But after only two steps, a deeper roar blocked his path.

Hulk stood in front of him.

His green eyes burned with even greater fury.

He slammed his fists together, creating a heavy, thunderous impact.

After being beaten down for so long, there was no way Hulk would let Abomination run away now that someone had interrupted his attack.

The two monsters faced each other once again.

Above them, Emily leaned lightly against the edge of her jellyfish rigging, swinging her legs as if she had taken the best seat in the entire city.

A smile slowly spread across her lips.

Since she was already here, she might as well add a little extra spice to this grand show.

Comment it and let me know.
