Jessica Jones was something of a tragic figure.

She had been riding in a car with her parents when they got into a terrible accident.

Her parents perished in the crash, leaving her as the sole survivor.Full novel: Marvel: The Warcraft Raid Leader — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Exposed to mysterious leaking chemicals during the crash, she gained extraordinary superpowers.

Having graduated high school, Jessica was living off the inheritance left by her parents, but college tuition in the United States was far more than her remaining savings could cover.

Thus, she was working summer jobs, grinding hard to save up money for college.

Even then, she would still need student loans to get through her degree.

Because of this, Daisy’s invitation was immensely attractive to her.

Back in high school, everyone knew that Daisy and Morris Chow were a pair of “mini-millionaires.”

Thanks to their Chinese-style family upbringing, both Daisy and Morris had their own stash of savings.

While not astronomical, with their parents covering all major expenses, they were indisputably the rich kids among their peers.

Morris felt a bit strange about Daisy setting him up with a girl, but he was also oddly excited.

It was Jessica Jones, after all!

She was definitely a great catch—gorgeous, long-legged, with a fantastic figure…

“Ahem!

Ahem!”

As Morris got lost in his thoughts, his expression turned pretty shameless, forcing Daisy to cough repeatedly to snap him out of it.

Morris quickly regained his focus, awkwardly scratching his head and avoiding Daisy’s eyes.

“Alright, stop acting so innocent!

Don’t embarrass me when we get there!

“I’ve already laid the groundwork with Jessica.

Just play your part when we meet, and you’ll win her over in no time!

“Remember, watch your image!

“In the future, I’m going to make these girls worship you like a god, so don’t make that face in front of them ever again, got it?”

Daisy lectured Morris intently on the ride over.

A few times, Morris felt like she sounded a bit like a cultish recruiter…

Daisy had arranged to meet at Jessica’s rented apartment.

Jessica had sold her family’s decent house long ago; after all, property taxes in America weren’t cheap.

For a student like Jessica, renting an apartment was far more sensible than paying high property taxes.

The apartment was small—one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom.

As for the kitchen, it was just a corner of the living room with a microwave and a small toaster oven.

How have you been?”

Daisy noticed Jessica’s bashfulness.

This girl hadn’t encountered the Purple Man yet, so her current personality was noticeably different from her future self.

Today’s Jessica was still somewhat shy.

Knowing her situation, Daisy took the initiative to strike up a conversation as soon as they walked in.

“Pretty…

good, thanks!”

Jessica stammered in reply.

Having guests over clearly made her feel a bit embarrassed.

After all, her entire rented apartment was probably smaller than Morris’s bedroom.

During high school, she had visited Morris’s place for Daisy’s birthday party.

Noticing Jessica’s awkwardness, Daisy actively kept the conversation going.

Morris chimed in occasionally, learning about Jessica’s summer routine along the way.

She was currently working two jobs at once.

From 08:00 to 12:00, she worked as a clerk at a bakery, where she got free bread for lunch.

From 15:00 to 19:00, she worked as a waitress at a barbecue restaurant.

Back in 2005, her hourly wage averaged around $12–15.

Combined with occasional tips, her monthly income came to nearly $4,000.

That seemed decent on paper, but in New York City, rent for a small apartment like hers was around $2,000.

For downtown New York, that price was considered fair, not overly expensive.

Consequently, Jessica’s financial situation remained tight.

Factor in college tuition over the next few years, and she would likely need over $100,000 in student loans to graduate and land a job.

Thus, she couldn’t resist Daisy’s offer: a job playing video games during her free time for an astronomical $20 an hour.

As for the requirement of intimate contact with Morris, Morris really didn’t know how to bring it up.

Fortunately, Daisy dragged Jessica into the bedroom, leaving Morris alone in the living room and saving him the explanation.

Utterly bored, Morris simply lay down on the living room sofa and logged into the game.

He completed a few daily quests and even soloed a five-player Heroic dungeon along the way.

An hour passed.

When he logged off, he saw Daisy and Jessica both staring at him.

“Uh, about earlier…”

Morris had just opened his mouth to explain when Daisy cut him off.

“See?

The state he was in just now was him entering the game. The source of this chapter is g.com.

Isn’t it amazing?

“Plus, you’re a special person just like us!

If you join us, you can gain new powers too!”

Morris stood by, utterly dazed by Daisy’s spiel, until he heard Jessica meekly agree and even reach out a hand to pull him up.

“What are you standing there for?

Go into the bedroom!

“Don’t tell me you expect Jessica to take the lead?”

Daisy gave the still-dazed Morris an annoyed shove.

Morris snapped back to reality, thinking: *Given those terms, Jessica actually agreed to this?*

But soon, excitement took over.

He was young and full of vigor, after all.

Once they were alone, Jessica revealed a whole different side of herself—surprisingly wild and passionate.

Any occasional clumsiness was purely due to it being her first time, accompanied by pain and unfamiliarity.

Over half an hour later, Morris finally received a prompt from his Golden Finger.

Jessica had officially become a player he could bind with.

He casually cast a Priest’s Renew spell on her, causing the slightly sore Jessica to let out a comfortable, suggestive groan.

“Did you take the day off today?”

Morris didn’t know what else to say, so he asked if she had time today.

“Yeah, I took time off.

Are you going to take me into that world now?”

Jessica recovered for a moment before replying, asking outright out of curiosity about the game world Daisy had mentioned.

“Of course!

That’s why I’m here!”

Morris gave her an affirmative answer, called out to Daisy outside, and returned to the bed.

Looking at the still-naked Jessica, he didn’t stand on ceremony.

He wrapped his arms around her and took her into the game with him.

Just like with Daisy, the two arrived at the character creation “Home” interface.

Jessica was still a bit flustered, instinctively covering her chest with her hands, only to realize she was already wearing a set of starter clothes.

Morris naturally began introducing the game’s races and classes to her, then checked her racial traits choices (pick four out of six).

Just as Morris had guessed, Jessica’s race category was indeed special.

Like Daisy, Jessica had two pre-selected traits.
