Visit “I’m finished, everyone.” Bobby said, standing up and running off on his own.

“What’s wrong with him?

He’s been acting all mysterious these past few days.” Ethan said, puzzled.

“Chasing girls, obviously.

That girl just went through a kidnapping and is currently in a fragile, traumatized state.

How could that kid pass up such a good opportunity?” “You mean Rogue.” Ethan finally realized.

“Who else could it be?

The girl is indeed quite nice, but…

she’s also a bit intimidating.” John said with a complicated expression.

He had initially felt favorably toward Rogue, until he saw her uncontrollable ability.

John immediately steered clear of the girl, but his roommate had been getting closer and closer to her ever since.

This made John suspect that he was risking his life just to chase a girl.

While Ethan and John were talking, a young girl sat down in front of them.

She was wearing a green jacket, with long black hair draped over her shoulders, and a very conspicuous streak of white hair on her forehead.

Without a doubt, the girl in front of them was Rogue.

“Hello, I’m Mary.

Of course, you can also call me by my other name, Rogue.” The girl said, smiling at Ethan.

“I heard from Bobby that your name is Ethan, right?

You’re his roommate.” “Oh, looks like that kid Bobby is out of luck.

He just missed his girl.” John whispered to Ethan.

“Thank you so much for what happened that day.” The girl said sincerely.

“It was nothing, just a small matter.” Ethan nodded calmly.

“Huh?

Didn’t you come to find Bobby?” Hearing this, John became curious.

“I was…” Rogue said, her voice sounding hesitant.

Of course she had come to find Ethan to thank him and chat a bit to get to know him.

But with John nearby, it was obviously inconvenient.

And for some unknown reason, Professor X had specifically spoken to her, telling her not to casually disclose what happened that day to others, which left Rogue unsure of how to proceed.

“Did someone just mention me?” Bobby’s voice came at this moment.

Seeing Bobby sit down next to Rogue, John was stunned.

“Bobby, didn’t you—huh!” Bobby was holding another breakfast.

Ethan could only sigh; this kid…

he was quite something.

“Sorry, I woke up a bit late.

I didn’t expect you guys to be almost finished.” Bobby said, giving Ethan a wink.

The meaning was self-evident.

Although it would indeed be wise to walk away now for fear that Rogue might accidentally spill something, as an opportunist, he had to at least— “Ahem.” Ethan coughed twice on purpose and looked at Bobby with a serious face.

“Bobby, I didn’t have any money on me when I came out earlier.

You borrowed twenty dollars from me last week to buy cola.

Shouldn’t you pay me back now?” “Twenty dollars?

For cola?” Bobby glared at Ethan.

Are you kidding me?

Since when does cola cost that much?

Or are you trying to say I bought a dozen?

This is a bit too much of a shakedown.

“I remember it being ten dollars.” Bobby gritted his teeth and pulled a bill from his pocket.

“Is that so?

Maybe I remembered wrong.” Ethan took the money, said he was finished eating, and then stood up, dragging John out of the cafeteria with him.

“Nice work, buddy!” John said, drinking the cola obtained through extortion, and gave Ethan a thumbs up.

“It’s nothing.

Where to next?

Want to look around?” Ethan turned to look at John and said.

“No thanks, I’m going back to play games.

Remember to bring me some lunch when you come back at noon.” Hearing this, Ethan didn’t press him.

Instead, he walked into the courtyard alone, found a chair, and started basking in the Sun, enjoying a life where he didn’t have to attend classes and still received a scholarship.

But this relaxation only lasted for a while before a figure walked over, blocking Ethan’s sunlight.

Ethan came back to his senses and looked closely.

It was a white man in his forties, wearing a suit and sunglasses, carrying a briefcase in his hand.

He had a short crew cut and a slightly high hairline.

What was most noticeable, however, was his height.

Hmm…

it just barely reached Ethan’s shoulder.

In the United States, with Ethan’s height of 1.78 meters, he could barely claim to be of average height, but this guy in front of him…

“Who are you looking for?” Ethan said, squinting.

“I’m looking for the headmaster of Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, Professor X.

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Phil Coulson, a Level 7 Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” The middle-aged man said, already pulling out his ID from his pocket.

“S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson.” Ethan sat up immediately upon hearing this.

What was this famous Agent doing at the X-Men School at this time?

“I just arrived at this school.

Come to think of it, this school is quite beautiful, but it seems a bit large, and finding my way is a bit troublesome.

So…

could you take me to see Professor X?” Coulson said to Ethan with a signature smile.

“Follow me.” Ethan waved at Coulson and walked toward one of the buildings.

“Thank you so much.” Seeing this, Coulson immediately followed Ethan.

“Could you tell me your name?

I mean, maybe we could get to know each other.” Seemingly to avoid awkwardness along the way, after a few seconds of silence, Coulson said to Ethan.

“My name is Ethan.” “Then thank you very much for your help, student Ethan.” Coulson thanked him again.

“This school you’re at is quite nice, very historic.

It just seems a bit deserted.

Is it on break now?

There don’t seem to be many students.” “Something like that.” Ethan said vaguely.

“So you’re staying on campus for the holidays.

When I was in college, I also liked staying on campus during breaks.

I’d find a few buddies, drive to Liberty Island at night, and secretly buy alcohol to drink.

Honestly, although I’m a government official, I think the law that you have to be 21 to drink is just nonsense…” Along the way, Coulson, having opened the floodgates, talked incessantly.

Ethan hadn’t expected this guy to be such a chatterbox.

Fortunately, Coulson had a good sense of propriety.

Every time Ethan started to get impatient, he would definitely change the subject.

As expected, mastering the art of conversation is a prerequisite for becoming an excellent Agent.

Wait, this guy isn’t trying to extract information from me, is he?

Thinking of this, Ethan couldn’t help but become more cautious in his speech.

Fortunately, the distance wasn’t far, and before long, Ethan arrived in front of the Professor’s office.

“It’s Ethan, come in.” The Professor’s voice sounded in Ethan’s ear.

Ethan’s body could reflexively block threatening material energy attacks, but the Professor’s bit of psychic power wasn’t judged as a threat.

Plus, Ethan was no longer a stranger to Professor X, so the voice successfully reached Ethan’s mind.

Creak!

A slight sound rang out.

Ethan pushed the door open, and a reflective back of a head appeared in his field of vision.

“Thank you for bringing this guest to me.” The Professor turned his wheelchair and looked at Ethan with a smile.

“You must be Professor X.

I am Phil Coulson, a Level 7 Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Coulson skillfully flashed his ID again.

“S.H.I.E.L.D.

would like to talk to you about what happened a few days ago.” “So, are you the one who wants to talk to me?

Mr.

Coulson, I don’t mean to belittle you, but clearly S.H.I.E.L.D.

should have sent someone with more authority.” Professor X said calmly.

“You are correct.

In fact, I am just a delivery person.” Coulson said, his expression unchanged, as he walked to Professor X’s desk and opened the silver metal briefcase in his hand.

Only then did Ethan realize that the briefcase was actually a computer.

The pitch-black screen flickered the moment it opened, and then…

it went black again.

Don’t misunderstand; the computer hadn’t crashed.

Instead, a one-eyed, bald man who looked like a Braised Egg appeared on the screen.

Sigh, why do bald people look scarier than the last these days?

“Hello, Professor X.

Long time no see.” “Hello, Director Fury.” Inside and outside the screen, two bald big shots, one black and one white, greeted each other.

They were about to hold a meeting and conversation of great significance, discussing whether there was an inevitable connection between going bald and becoming a big shot, historically known as the “Bald Summit.” Uh…

alright, don’t hit me, I admit the last sentence was made up.
