“Ah, Baldy!!” Ethan shouted as he sat up from the bed.

Looking at the familiar objects in the room, it took Ethan a long time to react.

He looked at the alarm clock on the table; it was eight in the morning.Full novel: Marvel’s Vector Controller — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It seemed he had slept for an entire day after taking the medicine yesterday.

He took a deep breath.

The feeling of tightness in his chest had disappeared.

Although he hadn’t checked his temperature, the heat and discomfort were gone.

He felt very good now; it was clear his fever had broken.

Ethan stretched languidly, a look of satisfaction on his face.

“Recovering feels so good.

I feel refreshed and invigorated, like the whole World is different… Huh, am I seeing things?

It really does seem different.” Ethan’s expression was puzzled because many things in his field of vision had indeed changed.

If he had to describe it, it was as if a type of white line with an arrowhead had appeared out of thin air in this World.

They were thick or thin, sometimes attached to objects, sometimes within objects, sometimes moving at high speed, and sometimes relatively still.

And most importantly, these white lines with arrowheads were everywhere!

“What is this?” Ethan rubbed his eyes, only to find that when he closed them, these strange things not only didn’t disappear but became even clearer.

This was not something he saw with his eyes, but rather something that appeared directly in his mind, or rather, an image perceived by senses beyond his normal vision.

A pattern appeared in Ethan’s mind, at first glance resembling a simple sketch of the entire room drawn with a pencil, but on closer inspection, it felt a little different.

And most importantly, this pattern made of white lines could be large or small.

It could expand to encompass the entire room, or he could focus his consciousness on a single point, for example, by concentrating his attention on a finger, he could see many more detailed lines.

Ethan subconsciously looked at his hand, then pressed his finger onto the wooden headboard.

The lines originating from his fingertip immediately dispersed into many small lines with arrowheads, moving in various directions.

And beneath his fingertip, a line of the same thickness as his fingertip was pressing against his finger.

Its direction was opposite to the direction Ethan’s finger was pressing, and it was these lines that were preventing his finger from pressing down.

Seeing this, Ethan instinctively wanted to change the direction of these white lines, and after he had this thought, the white lines that were preventing his finger from falling actually changed direction under the influence of his consciousness.

The arrowhead of this white line changed from pointing upwards to pointing downwards, and after the direction of this line’s movement changed, Ethan immediately felt his finger loosen, and the obstruction he had felt at his fingertip completely disappeared.

Crack!

The crisp sound of wood cracking came, and when Ethan opened his eyes, he found that his finger had pressed a deep indentation into the wooden headboard.

“What’s going on?” Ethan felt a bit confused.

Just as he was about to try again, the door suddenly opened, and a blonde old woman walked in.

“Ethan, my poor child, has your fever gone down?” The blonde old woman walked up to Ethan, gently placed her hand on Ethan’s forehead, and asked with concern.

“Ms.

Emma, I feel great now.

I’ve fully recovered,” Ethan said with a smile.

Not feeling any signs of fever on Ethan’s forehead anymore, Ms.

Emma stared at Ethan’s face for a while longer before sighing in relief.

“Thank God, you’re all right.

That’s wonderful.” “It’s mealtime now.

Get up and wash up.

I imagine you’re hungry too,” Ms.

Emma said, patting Ethan.

“I know, you go on with your work,” Ethan nodded and said.

He had slept for a whole day yesterday, and now that Ms.

Emma reminded him, his stomach immediately began to churn.

Ms.

Emma nodded at his words.

As the Dean of the orphanage, she was indeed very busy, but as she was about to leave the room, she seemed to remember something and quickly turned back, sternly admonishing him.

“Oh, and remember to eat a balanced diet!” Seeing Ethan nod, Ms.

Emma finally left Ethan’s room with peace of mind.

Driven by hunger, Ethan quickly got up, washed up, and got dressed.

Although he knew his body seemed to have undergone some changes, he was starving now, so he would deal with those things after he had eaten his fill.

Five minutes later, Ethan arrived at the orphanage’s dining hall.

After getting his food, Ethan walked a few steps and found a familiar brown-haired girl among a group of teenagers ranging from a few years old to their teens.

“Hi, can I sit here?” Without waiting for the girl to speak, Ethan had already made himself at home and sat down across from her.

Facing the boy who had suddenly appeared before her, the girl showed no displeasure, only a little surprise on her face.

“You’re already better.” The only girl in the entire orphanage who was this familiar with Ethan was Katie.

“Of course, I feel great now, good enough to eat a whole cow,” Ethan said with a smile.

Katie ignored Ethan’s joke and turned her attention to the television.

She wasn’t a talkative girl, and could even be described as somewhat reclusive.

In fact, if not for her reclusive personality, she wouldn’t have stayed in the orphanage until she was sixteen without anyone willing to adopt her.

Seeing this, Ethan also turned his attention to the television.

News was currently being broadcast.

“This station reports that Tony Stark, the head of the United States’ largest military industrial enterprise, Stark Industries, has recently been selling weapons in the Middle East.

It is reported that the weapons sold include large-scale destructive weapons such as the Jellik Missile.

Some anti-war activists believe that selling such weapons is highly immoral, and therefore, they are holding a protest demonstration in front of the Stark Industries building.

This station continues to report; a summit on World finance will be held next week, located on Manhattan Island, where various heads of state will gather to discuss this year’s economic development.

Next report, the renowned anti-Mutant activist, Councilor Kelly, is actively lobbying the government, hoping to fully implement the Mutant Registration Act.

He declared that to protect the freedom and safety of U.S.

citizens, all Mutants must be identified from among ordinary people and then incarcerated.

However, some believe that the implementation of the Mutant Registration Act will not solve the problem, but rather intensify the conflict between ordinary people and Mutants…” “Tony Stark, Mutant.” Ethan was already used to these two terms.

Before he entered the orphanage, when his parents in this World had not yet left him, he already knew that he had transmigrated to the Marvel Universe, becoming an ordinary New York resident in the Marvel Universe.

“Actually, I’ve always thought being a Mutant would be pretty good,” Katie’s voice caught Ethan’s attention.

“Mutants are much stronger than ordinary people.

Those idiots hate Mutants simply because they are jealous and afraid of Mutants’ superpowers.

It is said that Mutants usually awaken during adolescence.

If I awaken one day, I would be very happy.” Katie gnawed on her bread, speaking as if to Ethan, yet also muttering to herself.

“Mutant, superpower.” Ethan chewed on these two words, seemingly deep in thought, and at the same time, his hand had unconsciously pressed against the corner of the table.

The chairs in the dining hall were made of iron, and their hardness was self-evident, but when Ethan realized that the direction of the white line’s arrowhead pressing against his finger had changed, he left a clear fingerprint on the corner of the table.

“What’s wrong with you?” Katie looked at Ethan curiously.

She noticed that Ethan’s expression seemed a bit off.

“I’m fine, in fact, I’m full,” Ethan said with a forced smile, then hurried out of the dining hall.

His mind was a bit muddled, but his thoughts had cleared up somewhat.

It was clear that not only had his fever subsided, but he had also awakened a special ability; he had become a Mutant.

As for his ability, Ethan had some vague guesses, but he didn’t immediately draw a conclusion.

Instead, he first returned to his room, carefully locked the door, then rummaged around for a while, pulling out a rugby ball from under the bed.

In Morpheus’s field of vision, he saw many lines around the rugby ball, and most of the lines’ arrowheads were pointing downwards.

So Morpheus controlled the lines, changing all these downward-pointing arrowheads to upward-pointing ones.

Bang!

After Ethan’s thought successfully modified the arrowheads’ direction, the rugby ball immediately flew out of his hand, vertically upwards, hitting the ceiling.

And in Ethan’s field of vision, those modified lines merged and canceled out with other lines, and most of the arrowheads around the rugby ball quickly reverted to pointing downwards.

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

The rugby ball fell back to the ground, bouncing a few times in front of Ethan.

But Ethan paid no attention.

At this moment, he seemed to be in a daze, but in his heart, a storm had already been stirred up.

He had already guessed what his ability was.

Memories hidden deep in his brain were brought forth.

It was an anime he had watched before transmigrating.

He couldn’t quite remember the specific plot anymore, but he still remembered the ability of a super-powered individual named Accelerator in the anime.

Vector Control, the ability to manipulate and change the direction of force at will using one’s body, and the images he saw in his mind were actually a symbolic representation of the real World’s energy movement.

Ethan had become a Mutant, a Mutant with Vector Control ability.
