“Liushuning, come here.”
His tone was still somewhat stern.
Liushuning stiffened slightly and walked over slowly, stopping in front of Muyang.
Muyang raised his head to look at her and sighed.
“Liushuning, you’re the older sister. You need to treat your younger sister a little better. I could let other things go, but you actually had the nerve to bring expired yogurt for your sister to drink.”
His tone carried both helplessness and admonishment.
“If you really think Liuxiaoxiao did something wrong, then tell Big Brother. Big Brother will discipline her. But something as disrespectful as this is absolutely, absolutely not allowed to happen again in the future.”
Liushuning’s eyes reddened slightly. She looked aggrieved, but still nodded.
“I understand, Big Brother. I’m sorry.”
Her voice was soft, with a hint of grievance.
But her eyes remained fixed on the bottle of yogurt in Liuxiaoxiao’s hand.
Liuxiaoxiao happened to finish the last mouthful and set the bottle down.
Her cheeks were so red they looked as though they might drip blood, and there were still traces of white yogurt clinging to her lips.
Muyang took the empty bottle from her hand and casually placed it on the bedside table, then used his sleeve to wipe the corner of Liuxiaoxiao’s mouth.
“Does your stomach feel uncomfortable?”
he asked with concern.
Liuxiaoxiao shook her head and leaned limply against him.
“No. It was delicious. Thank you, Big Brother.”
Muyang rubbed her stomach again. Only after confirming that she felt no discomfort did he withdraw his hand.
He stood up, picked up the empty bottle, and walked toward the door, intending to take it outside and throw it away.
When he reached the doorway, he suddenly stopped and looked back at his two younger sisters.
“That’s the end of what happened today. Something like this is not allowed to happen again in the future, understood?”
“Understood.”
The two sisters answered in unison.
Only then did Muyang nod in satisfaction. He turned and left the room, tidied himself up, and went to work.
…………
Eight-thirty that evening, inside the hot-pot restaurant.
After finishing a full day of work, Muyang was helping out in the back kitchen by washing the last batch of dishes and chopsticks.
Actually, the hot-pot restaurant closed at eight-thirty, but since there were only a few people working there, cleaning and putting everything away took more than half an hour. That was why their workday did not actually end until nine.
Today, Suchunsun had mainly assigned him to greet customers at the entrance. He had only gone into the restaurant to help carry dishes to the tables during the busiest time at noon.
The results had been unexpectedly good.
With Muyang’s handsome, refined face and his bright, warm smile,
all it took was for him to greet passing customers from the doorway, and they could not help taking a couple of extra looks before, as if bewitched, walking into the restaurant.
Today’s sales were nearly ten percent higher than usual, and Suchunsun smiled until her eyes curved into crescents.
“Xiaoyang, you worked hard today.”
Suchunsun came out from behind the counter, holding a clean towel.
Muyang took the towel and wiped the sweat from his forehead, smiling as he shook his head.
“It wasn’t hard. You’re the one who worked hard, Store Manager. I saw that you were running around like crazy today too.”
His bangs were damp with sweat and clung to his forehead. His fair skin was faintly flushed, making him look like a delectable little shota.
Seeing him like this, Suchunsun’s heartbeat quickened uncontrollably.
The two of them spent another half hour cleaning the hot-pot restaurant from inside to outside.
They mopped the floor, wiped the tables, took out the trash, and organized the condiment station, leaving every corner spotless.
Muyang never slacked off when he worked. He carefully wiped every corner, not even overlooking the gaps between the chairs.
While working, Suchunsun secretly stole glances at him. She liked this hardworking and dependable boy more and more.
After everything had been cleaned, Muyang entered the changing room, took off his work uniform, and changed into his own clothes.
Today, he was wearing a light-blue short-sleeved shirt with white trousers. The clean, refreshing outfit made his skin look even fairer.
The clothes were actually somewhat old, but they still did nothing to conceal Muyang’s youthful air.
That made Suchunsun, who was standing not far away, remember that Muyang was only a nineteen-year-old boy.
At this age, other boys were happily playing in their parents’ arms,
yet he had to shoulder the responsibility of supporting his family and save money for his younger sisters’ tuition. This only made Suchunsun want to protect him even more.
Muyang picked up his phone, pushed open the changing-room door, and walked out.
He was just about to head toward the hot-pot restaurant’s entrance.
“Muyang, wait a moment.”
Suchunsun’s voice came from behind him.
Muyang turned his head curiously and looked at the store manager.
“What is it, Store Manager?”
Suchunsun stood behind the counter with both hands held behind her back, as if she were hiding something.
Her face was faintly flushed, and her chest rose and fell much more heavily than usual, as though she had made some kind of decision.
Her astonishingly full breasts pulled the buttons of her shirt taut, and even the topmost button looked dangerously close to giving way.
Muyang’s gaze was involuntarily drawn to them and lingered for an instant, but he quickly looked away.
Suchunsun took a deep breath and brought the hand she had held behind her back around to the front.
In it was a movie ticket.
“You’re off tomorrow, and I wanted to… I wanted to ask whether you might do me the honor of accompanying me to see a movie.”
Her voice stumbled a little. She seemed completely different from the brisk and capable store manager she usually was.
Muyang was stunned for a moment.
He looked at the movie ticket, then at Suchunsun’s face, which was red enough to drip blood.
His heart gave a sudden, forceful beat.
To be honest, he had always had a very good impression of Suchunsun.
Her extremely voluptuous figure might be considered a flaw by the people of this world,
but in Muyang’s aesthetic preferences, it hit his XP exactly.
That astonishing size, that feeling that her shirt was nearly about to burst open.
And, on top of that, there was all the care and tolerance she had shown him over the years.
Previously, with his sisters’ tuition and living expenses weighing on him, Muyang had not dared to reveal the slightest fondness for the store manager.
After all, this world’s early-access version had previously been wrecked by those radical male-rights activists,
leaving women generally wary of men by nature.
So Muyang had not even dared to think about it.
Now that the store manager had taken the initiative to offer him a movie ticket, a warm current welled up in Muyang’s heart.
He did not hesitate in the slightest.
He reached out and accepted the movie ticket.
At the moment he took it, his fingertips accidentally brushed against Suchunsun’s fingertips.
“All right, Store Manager. See you tomorrow.”
Muyang raised his head and gave her a bright smile.
Suchunsun felt as though her entire body were about to melt.
Dad,
I think I’m in love!
