Surrounded.
This was a feeling Ethan had experienced multiple times in his past life.
Be it against monsters, zombies or humans.
In a world where strength is right and human life is worthless, being surrounded by others was an everyday occurrence.
Perhaps because of that, he remained calm, despite the fact that they were horribly outnumbered twenty to one.
"Come out, you two! This area is currently under the control of the divine envoy Lord Marcus."
"Leave, or we have no option but to shoot!"
Still in the car, the shout of one of the gunmen reached them in the car.
However, Ethan, hearing these words, couldn’t help but sneer.
’Surrender? Even without the fact that my current attributes are at least four times that of a regular human, but with my experience, I can sense their bloodlust from a mile away.’
’If Elena and I even accidentally step outside of the car and try to surrender, they’ll turn us into a sieve.’
’Perhaps the reason they haven’t shot anything yet is they’re afraid of who or what might be in the car.’
’After all, this is the Smith family; it wouldn’t be surprising to have a few hidden bombs around.’
Thinking calmly, Ethan began to plan out their current situation.
Although he was currently much stronger than a regular person, in the face of a barrage of bullets he would ultimately meet his end.
Fortunately, it wasn’t as if there was no hope.
Although outnumbered, they had the benefit of the first move, meaning the element of surprise was on their side.
If they played their cards right, then it wasn’t without hope.
Thinking of this, he looked at his battle-hungry sister with an idea in mind.
"Sister, how good are you at shooting? I have a plan."
"To do that, first you need to give me one gun."
"Afterwards, listen to my instructions; if you don’t want to die, that is."
Pointing towards the right side of her, he spoke.
"See that fire hydrant in front of us? I need you to shoot it, creating a distraction."
"After which I’ll take care of the gunmen around us!"
Saying this out loud, Ethan knew his words sounded unreliable; however, he had no choice.
If they wasted too much time, then the gunmen would shoot them without mercy after finding out they were stalling for time.
They had to act now and fast.
And Elena, seeing the seriousness in her brother’s eyes, couldn’t help but remember the fact that he had blocked her punch right before her car, and this time again.
She knew that her brother had changed.
’Ethan Smith, just what the hell are you hiding from your big sis?’
’People don’t just change overnight. What the hell happened?’
Looking deeply into Ethan’s eyes, Elena knew this wasn’t the time to press him for answers; she could only be a good sister and choose to believe in her brother.
"Alright, brother, tell me, what do I do?"
Hearing this, Ethan couldn’t help but sigh in relief; fortunately, she agreed.
"Alright, right now I’ll teach you how to do it."
Recalling his experience in his last life, Ethan began to gently position her hand.
"Close your left eye and raise your right arm."
"We’re going to shoot through the glass so they don’t suspect what we’re about to do."
"Steady your breath and remain calm."
Guiding her shot, Ethan silently called out his awakener system.
"Alright, Elena, follow my guide."
"Three."
"Two..."
"Hey, come out of the car! I repeat, come out of the car!"
"If you don’t come out of the car, we will begin to shoot!"
Yelling at the sports car, the gunmen sensed something was wrong.
Unfortunately, it was too late.
"One!"
With Ethan’s call, Elena pulled the trigger!
’Bang!’
With the shattering of the car glass, the bullet instantly pierced through the air, going in a straight line and directly hitting the fire hydrant.
’Booom!’
Not giving anyone a chance to react, water began to spew everywhere, falling on the gunmen at the same time, obstructing their view.
"Fuck! Get them!"
"Shoot them! For the divine envoy!"
However, their screams were for nought, as Ethan’s plan had already worked.
[Detecting teaching human Elena Smith basic gun handling and control]
[Activating 10000x increase]
Following this prompt, all sight of moves, skills and information began to run through Ethan’s mind.
He felt like he had become a gun god who had wielded a gun all his life.
[Creating skill basic gun handling and control]
[Basic gun handling and control has increased to beginner level]
[Level increased to intermediate level]
[Level increased to advanced level]
[Level increased to expert level]
[Level increased to grandmaster level]
His plan had worked. To get out of this situation, he had planned to use his second ability, ten-thousand-time increase.
And sure enough, it lived up to his expectations.
As the seconds passed, more and more prompts began to appear; Ethan felt like he couldn’t miss a shot.
’Boom!’
’Boom!’
’Boom!’
Twenty seconds, twenty shots, twenty lives.
Using his heightened attributes and senses, neither Elena nor the gunmen could react when Ethan fired his shots.
Only their final scream in shock as a bullet penetrated their foreheads resounded through the courtyard with each shot.
"Damn Ethan, who the hell are you, and what have you done with my brother!"
Snapping out of it, Elena, who saw each shot fired, was shocked out of her mind.
Being suddenly strong was one thing, but when did he become good at handling a weapon?
You know, although she agreed and gave him a handgun, she inwardly believed he was just bluffing and couldn’t even remove the safety.
However, what she just saw now directly overturned her views.
Was that even humanly possible?
Ten shots, ten headshots?
She didn’t even dare say snipers in the military had such accuracy.
However, Ethan, seeing his sister in shock, couldn’t help but curve his lips upwards as a smile appeared on his face.
"What are you looking at, don’t you know?"
"This brother of yours is a genius!"
"Now stop staring at me and let’s go rescue grandpa; I’m sure there are more of these guys inside."
Not waiting for her response, Ethan opened the car door, heading towards the main building.
