Early the next morning, the sun rose, and the light blocked by the curtains streamed through the gaps into the bedroom. Shen Nanxian lazily rolled over, stretched out his arms to touch a soft mass, and squinted his eyes to take a look.

Liu Lanci was lying right beside him, sleeping soundly. Shen Nanxian’s lips curved upward as he leaned over to kiss Liu Lanci on the lips, then got up to wash up.

After finishing, Shen Nanxian woke Liu Lanci up.Full novel: Max-Level Fast Travel Expert: The Sweetly Pampered Green Tea Darling (Quick Transmigration) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Liu Lanci opened his sleepy eyes, dazed for a few seconds, rubbed his aching lower back as he slowly sat up, and rubbed his eyes in a daze, only to be greeted by a handsome face.

“Morning, darling.” Shen Nanxian blinked at him, revealing a row of neat, white teeth, brilliant and charming.

“Morning, hubby,” Liu Lanci said, looking at him with a smile. “What are we doing today? I am all ears.”

“All ears?”

Shen Nanxian was still smiling, but that smile did not look innocent at all, as if he was waiting for the little rabbit to walk right into his trap.

“Except in bed,” Liu Lanci quickly added to save himself. If it were up to Shen Nanxian, he wouldn’t even need to leave the house these next few days and would just be stuck in bed.

“Mm,” Shen Nanxian acknowledged, his tone filled with deep disappointment. He still had plenty of little toys he hadn’t shown Liu Lanci yet.

They had a simple breakfast, and Liu Lanci regretfully went back to bed to lie down. He actually wanted to go out and play, but his lower back just wouldn’t cooperate!

Liu Lanci drifted off to sleep, feeling groggy until around three o’clock in the afternoon, when he was woken up by a knock on the door. Rubbing his eyes, he saw Shen Nanxian opening the door while holding a bowl of congee.

“Get up and drink some congee,” Shen Nanxian said in a low, husky voice, his eyes filled with absolute pampering.

Liu Lanci obediently sat up to drink the congee, while Shen Nanxian sat right beside him to keep watch.

After finishing the congee, Shen Nanxian grabbed a tissue and wiped Liu Lanci’s mouth.

Liu Lanci raised his gaze and locked eyes with a pair of deep, resentful dark pupils.

“…” Liu Lanci did not dare to meet Shen Nanxian’s gaze, so he quickly changed the subject. “Do not try any bad tricks.”

“What bad tricks? Where am I thinking of bad tricks?” Shen Nanxian retorted with an innocent expression.

With a puff of indignation, Liu Lanci stared straight at Shen Nanxian. “You were too bad yesterday! Bullying me like that, and you still dare to deny it?”

“Is that so?” Shen Nanxian said in surprise. “I do not remember doing anything to bully you last night.”

“…”

Liu Lanci could not help but wonder if Shen Nanxian was doing this on purpose, pretending not to remember. He remembered it clearly down to the last detail, yet the man was feigning ignorance!

“I do not care. The bad things you did last night were terrible.”

“Oh, is that right?” Shen Nanxian blinked innocently. “I really forgot. Tell me, how exactly did I bully you?”

“You!” Liu Lanci’s eyes widened in frustration.

“How did I bully you? Tell me!” Shen Nanxian’s smile deepened. The angry little rabbit looked so cute; he really wanted to pinch Liu Lanci’s cheeks.

“…” Liu Lanci felt utterly depressed. Shen Nanxian was definitely doing this on purpose, shamelessly refusing to admit to his wrongdoings!

“All right, alright.” Shen Nanxian couldn’t help laughing. He put down the bowls and chopsticks meant for the kitchen, wrapped his arms around Liu Lanci’s neck, and pressed his warm, thin lips against Liu Lanci’s lips.

“Mm.” Liu Lanci’s eyes widened. Why was this guy pulling a fast one again?

Liu Lanci struggled for a bit, but Shen Nanxian refused to let go no matter what, using all his brute strength to monopolize his lips.

“Wu wu wu.” Liu Lanci twisted his head in protest, trying to shake him off.

In the end, the little rabbit was still eaten up by the big bad wolf.

“Dong dong dong.”

Liu Lanci almost wanted to cry with gratitude when he heard the knocking on the door. It came at the absolute right moment; any later, and his lower back would have been completely gone.

“Who is it?” Shen Nanxian asked with displeasure.

“Nanxian, Mom made some chicken soup and brought it over for you and Cici. Drink it while it is hot,” Mother Liu’s voice came from outside the door.

Since his mother-in-law had spoken, no matter how dissatisfied Shen Nanxian was about being interrupted, he had no choice but to let go of Liu Lanci.

Taking a few gasps of air, Liu Lanci pulled the blanket over his head with a blushing face.

Shen Nanxian put on his pajamas, opened the door, brought the tray into the room, and placed it on the coffee table.

The chicken soup gave off a rich aroma, smelling exceptionally delicious.

“Thank you, Mom,” Shen Nanxian said politely.

“What is there to thank?” Mother Liu waved her hand and then turned away to leave.

“Mm,” Shen Nanxian acknowledged, picking up the bowl, scooping a spoonful of chicken soup, blowing on it gently, and holding it out to the lips of Liu Lanci, who had just poked his head out from under the blanket. “Try it and see how it tastes.”

Liu Lanci pouted and said unhappily, “I do not want to drink it.”

“I see. Does my baby want me to feed you mouth-to-mouth?” Shen Nanxian raised an eyebrow, a smile playing at the corners of his lips as he wore an expression that said he understood completely.

“No way.”

Liu Lanci turned his head away shyly, his earlobes already stained with a brilliant shade of pink.

Shen Nanxian leaned closer and whispered, “Give me a kiss.”

After hesitating for a long while, Liu Lanci finally compromised, darting forward to plant a quick peck on Shen Nanxian’s chin.

Shen Nanxian chuckled, moved the bowl of chicken soup a bit closer to Liu Lanci’s lips, and said in a low, bewitching voice, “Give me another kiss, and I will feed you.”

“…”

Liu Lanci’s cheeks burned red and his heart raced. He simply could not handle this kind of teasing. He gritted his teeth in shyness and growled under his breath, “If you do not feed me, the chicken soup is going to get cold.”

With no other choice, Shen Nanxian gave up. He spooned the entire bowl of chicken soup into Liu Lanci’s mouth one spoonful at a time. He had wanted to use his mouth instead, but Liu Lanci wouldn’t allow it.

Once he finished feeding him, Liu Lanci was completely full.

“You drink the rest of the soup!”

Since his wife had spoken, Shen Nanxian put aside his teasing thoughts, lowered his head to quietly finish the remaining two sips of soup, and then put down the bowl. He walked over to the sofa and sat down to continue working.

Liu Lanci loved watching him when he was working the most; who knows, maybe he could earn a couple of deep kisses later.

Liu Lanci peeked at Shen Nanxian a few times and, seeing that he didn’t seem to notice him, boldly scooted over to sit right next to him. He wrapped his arms around Shen Nanxian’s sturdy waist and buried his head in his shoulder, staying completely still.

“Stop messing around, I am working,” Shen Nanxian patted Liu Lanci gently. He knew Liu Lanci was bound to ambush him, and he was just waiting for that exact moment.

“I am not messing around,” Liu Lanci mumbled, suddenly reaching out to tug at the collar of Shen Nanxian’s shirt.

“What are you doing?” Shen Nanxian looked up at him.

Liu Lanci raised his chin and said, “Helping you button up your shirt, of course.”

Shen Nanxian paused for a second before laughing softly. He gently pinched the tip of Liu Lanci’s nose and said, “My buttons do not need to be fastened. You can help me undo them instead.”

Liu Lanci knew nothing proper would ever come out of Shen Nanxian’s mouth. This guy was getting more and more mischievous!

“In your dreams.”

Puffing with anger, Liu Lanci limped his way back to the bedroom. Lying down on the bed, he let out a comfortable sigh. The bed was truly the best place to be, especially when he could hog the entire king-sized mattress all to himself.
