Jiang Tang’s face flushed deeper and deeper, her vision growing hazy until she could barely make out the man’s features—only a vague outline of his face, sharp and rugged, radiating a striking handsomeness. Enhanced by his military uniform, he stood tall and straight as a pine, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist.

What a handsome officer. Though his demeanor seemed rather cold, giving off an air of being hard to approach.

Desperate to avoid being caught and ruined by the human traffickers, Jiang Tang threw herself at the man with the last of her strength.

“Comrade soldier, please, save—”

Jiang Tang had no idea that her rapid breathing made her voice soft and clear, her delicate trailing tone carrying a little hook that swept across one’s heart.

She had only meant to beg the uniformed man for help, but somehow, this tall, stalwart man was pushed by her—a mere woman with a light shove—straight into the restroom.

The uniformed man’s deep black eyes fixed on Jiang Tang, who had “thrown herself into his arms.” Suddenly, a soft warmth pressed against his chest, and hearing her murmuring words, he unconsciously stepped back.

With a bang, the restroom door swung shut.

Hearing the door close, Jiang Tang breathed a sigh of relief. Her body grew even weaker, and she unconsciously leaned against the man’s shoulder, her delicate red lips parting slightly as she took small, shallow breaths.

Without realizing it, she pressed closer to the uniformed man, her hot breath spilling onto the nape of his neck above his collar—completely unaware of what she was doing.

Hot… so hot…

The drug’s effects had already begun to erode Jiang Tang’s consciousness.

The uniformed man she had shoved inside stood frozen like a wooden post, stiff and unmoving, though he didn’t push her away.

It was only when Jiang Tang sank into a daze, her face flushed crimson and her eyes glazed with confusion, that the uniformed man watched her with a dark, unreadable gaze.

In the cramped space, a charged, ambiguous tension suddenly erupted.

Jiang Tang was oblivious to the man’s reaction, but amid her confusion, she heard the incessant arguing coming from the train.

“Where’s that damned girl? How’d she disappear?”

“The front door’s blocked—I didn’t see her get off. She’s got to still be on the train!”

“That cursed little wretch! She dared to splash hot water on me and steal my money! We’ve got to find her!”

“She swallowed the drug I gave her—she can’t have gotten far! Search! Search now!”

The middle-aged woman’s voice grew shriller and more furious than before, her face twisted with rage as she ground her teeth, as if she wanted to tear Jiang Tang apart.

The uniformed man caught the key detail.

Drug?

He seized Jiang Tang’s wrist—her hand had nearly slipped into his shirt, fingertips already brushing against his firm chest—and yanked it out, gripping it tightly.

“You’ve been drugged?”

“They’re… they’re traffickers… help… please help me…”

Jiang Tang barely held onto her last shred of consciousness, but the surging heat inside her was spiraling out of control. Even without using her hands, she found herself winding tighter and tighter around the uniformed man’s body.

So shameful…

But she couldn’t control herself.

Jiang Tang frowned in frustration, her jade-like face flushed with an unnatural, alluring heat. Her bright eyes shimmered with misty desire as she gazed hazily at the man’s thin lips.

Her red lips parted slightly, as if yearning for something.

The uniformed man’s entire body was taut, his chest pounding like thunder, as if something were about to explode.

He gritted his teeth hard and pulled a small object from a hidden pocket in his uniform.

Then, his thumb pressed firmly against Jiang Tang’s lips, rubbing across them as he slipped a tiny pill into her mouth.

“Mmph—”

Jiang Tang instinctively tried to spit it out, but the uniformed man gripped her jaw, his cold, low voice landing in her ear.

He commanded, “Swallow it.”

Jiang Tang’s body went limp, her tongue and lips moving on their own as she swallowed, a bitter, cool taste sliding down her throat.

Just then.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A tremendous force pounded against the thin restroom door.

The middle-aged woman and Wang the Cripple had searched the entire carriage but still couldn’t find Jiang Tang. The only place left unchecked was the restroom.

“That damned girl has to be in here! Wang the Cripple, hurry up and break the door down, or you’ll lose your wife!”

Wang the Cripple thought of Jiang Tang’s flower-like face and her curvaceous figure. Even though his crotch still throbbed with pain from her kick, his mouth went dry with lust. He just wanted to drag her back and have his fill of pleasure.

Bang! Another crash.

The flimsy restroom door was forced open by brute strength. The middle-aged woman and Wang the Cripple were about to charge in when they spotted a cold, imposing man in a military uniform inside.

The uniformed man had his arm around Jiang Tang’s waist, shielding the slender, petite woman completely within his embrace, his body blocking her entirely so not a single strand of her hair was visible to outsiders.

He turned his head, his pitch-black, icy eyes sweeping over the two people outside the door, and dropped a single word with heavy force.

“Scram!”

The middle-aged woman and Wang the Cripple took one look at the man’s military uniform and immediately trembled in fear. When their eyes met his cold, bloodthirsty gaze, the two of them stumbled backward several steps in terror.

Even though they could see the man was holding a woman in his arms, they didn’t dare take a second look.

They never would have imagined that the woman in his arms might be the very person they were desperately searching for—Jiang Tang.

“I’m sorry, truly sorry! Please continue… continue…”

Under the oppressive aura of the military uniform, the middle-aged woman immediately bowed and scraped with apologies, then closed the bathroom door she had just opened.

The moment the door shut!

The middle-aged woman’s expression changed instantly. She spat on the ground and said, “No bed at home? So desperate they have to do that kind of thing on a train? Disgusting.”

Wang the Cripple asked, “So what do we do now?”

“Find her! The money’s gone! And the person’s gone too! You want to lose both? Search for her!”

Once again, the sound of arguing rang out through the train.

…

Inside the cramped bathroom, Jiang Tang’s eyes were tightly shut.

The bitter taste on her tongue was slowly receding, and with it, the heat flowing through her body. Her earlier restlessness gradually calmed, and her hazy consciousness began to recover.

What the man had just fed her was… an antidote?!

As she regained clarity, her long, slender lashes trembled slightly. What came into view was the white shirt she had rumpled with her grabbing, as well as her palm pressed firmly against the man’s chest—taking advantage of him.

Rock hard!

So solid!

The feel was amazing!

Jiang Tang wished she could touch it a few more times, but she still had her wits about her. She quickly stepped back, jumping out of the man’s embrace.

She kept her head lowered, face flushed—this time not from the drug’s effects, but from sheer embarrassment. The images of their ambiguous, tangled encounter moments ago, how she had nearly begged him for a kiss—it was all too mortifying. She didn’t dare look up at him even once.

“Comrade soldier, I’m truly sorry about just now. I didn’t mean it—circumstances forced me, I had no choice!”

“Please rest assured, I’m already married. My husband is also in the military. We have a loving relationship, a devoted marriage. I have no intention of cheating, and I can’t betray my husband! Nor will I cling to you or make a fuss.”

“Please forget what just happened. Thank you for the antidote, and thank you even more for saving me.”

Then.

Jiang Tang pulled out the five hundred yuan she had snatched earlier and shoved it all into the man’s palm, her tone growing more emphatic as she spoke.

“Comrade soldier, those two people just now were human traffickers. The woman was trying to sell me to that crippled man. This is their five hundred yuan of ill-gotten gains. You have to arrest those two! Trafficking women and children is a serious crime! Traffickers deserve to be cut into a thousand pieces—don’t let them off easy! I still have things to do, so I’m leaving now!”

Jiang Tang’s graceful figure in her dress swiftly emerged from the bathroom, her long hair and skirt hem swirling behind her, tracing a bright, radiant arc.

This scene happened to be witnessed by Liang Kailai, who had just arrived at the bathroom.

Was that just now… a woman?!

Then Liang Kailai looked at the man in military uniform—Fu Sinian, the husband to whom the original owner had been militarily married for five years in name—as he buttoned up his collar while walking out from inside. Liang Kailai’s eyes went wide in an instant.

Holy shit!

Since when did Regimental Commander Fu play this wild?!
