♠Grow the Vasyti Village;
·Aid the villagers in awakening life and mythic talents to help the development of the village#]
"Oh- that doesn’t seem too difficult. They need an awakening orb, if I remember correctly. How to get it, now that’s the question..." I thought, looking down at the village, the old man already spreading my name and the miracles that happened to the recently healed.
[#Host, you are yet to review your rewards from the hidden quest#]
"RIGHT!! I totally forgot about that," I said, remembering and surprised that I hadn’t checked the rewards yet. Well, I can’t blame myself, especially when I was busy learning about the new world geography.
"Status panel", I called out, as the familiar golden screen appeared in front of me.

Allows you to intervene directly in the mortal world to aid followers. Can heal injuries, purify toxins, calm minor disasters, or shield a small group from harm. The effectiveness scales with the Faith Points used.
‡God Store‡
The corners of my lips stretched out into a small smile; a ’store’ was just what I needed for this. Where else would I find such an item in an otherwise isolated land?

"System, is there any way to filter these items? They are irrelevant, and the prices are also enough to give me a brain aneurysm. What do you mean one silly potion is almost a quarter of 2 days’ worth of faith?" I asked the system, feeling a bit indignant at the sheer menu of things I saw first
[#There is, host#]
"Good, then please, filter out the rest and leave only the awakening orbs", I replied with a huff.

Seeing the options, I won’t lie, I was a bit disappointed, not at the items, but rather, my inability to afford the best option the store offered.
"System, take out the Rare Awakening Orb", I commanded, reluctantly, because I didn’t have much of an option now, did I? The only way for me to rank up as a God is to improve and increase the quality of life of the people worshipping me, as well as the number of people worshipping me.[#30,000FP deducted successfully#]
Following the sound of the notification, I felt a smooth, gentle weight settle in my palms. Looking at it, it appeared to be a dark blue sphere with ethereal specks of white, blue, yellow, red and even gold within it, looking like a miniature nebula or a condensed starry sky.
"System, deliver this to that old man", I commanded, and almost immediately I felt a familiar pull, that weird sensation of something very dear to me being pulled out from my body, not forcefully, gently, yet just as eerie.
[#150DE deducted successfully#]
Following the sound of the notification, the sphere vanished from my palms, reappearing at the altar where I first saw the humans praying, without a sound or ripple, as if it had always been there, just constantly out of sight.
|The next day|
The villagers awoke to continue their daily life, albeit a seemingly new one due to the absence of the plague that once burdened them; they adjusted seamlessly to the new, better life they were experiencing; the distant look in some of their eyes, still unable to believe this reality a telltale sign.
And, just like clockwork, later in the day, all the villagers gathered around the altar, which now had a purple globe on it.
*What is that?*
*Is it dangerous? It looks like it is?*
*Is it a gift from above?*
*No one go near that thing; it might be deadly.*
All that could be heard all around the altar were the hushed whispers of people who had neither ever seen nor heard of an awakening in a long time, throwing speculations around what the object on the altar was and the potential risk around it.
"Looks like I have to intervene again", I said, with a sigh, as the system deducted another 100 points from my divine energy.
"So I bestow this village with a gift, and this is how it is appreciated", I said with faux anger, loving this God thing far too much, but it was just for dramatic effect, which still seems to have worked, as within the next moment, all 40 followers fell on their knees with their heads bowed.
[#+3 devotees from casual followers#]
*Forgive our insolence, Great Astrael!* The older man hurriedly shouted, *But, in all humility, if we may seek to tap into your endless knowledge, what is that?* He added, caution dripping from each syllable, afraid to incur the wrath of the God watching them.
I paused for a definite moment, letting the silence sink in around them, before proceeding to speak, "That orb on the altar is an awakening orb, which I believe you may have heard of once or twice in your lifetime. But for clarity’s sake, it is used to aid you—mortals—in awakening special abilities called talents"
A deafening silence fell upon the altar, and at this point, if any more silence fell, I would have to rename it the Ghost Village.
*Great Astrael, you are really bestowing such a precious gift upon this wasted village. What have we done to deserve such an honour?* The old man asked, his voice trembling slightly from what I could sense to be unadulterated shock
"Nothing," I said, my voice a calm yet definite ripple in the air ", but. I see potential in the development of this village into a larger territory. What you see in a lifetime, I have seen in a moment. Vasyti is limited by its people, not its land. There are wanderers in the fog, settlements just like this one, but this one is the one I have chosen to be great. With that said, I will leave you all to prepare for the awakening ceremony I expect you to hold tomorrow. But before I withdraw my presence from this altar, you may make requests relevant to the smooth progression of the ceremony," I said, letting the implication of my final statement sink in, ’As far as it was relevant, I would grant any request asked here.
*If I may, oh great one,* the older man said
"You may", I responded tersely
*We would need to construct a proper altar for the ceremony, and that would take at least 3 days. We also don’t have the proper resources or experience for such work* The old man said, his tone careful
’System, how much to construct a proper altar for the ceremony?’ I asked internally
[#Constructing an altar in the human plane would cost: 15,000FP and 200DE. But you currently lack sufficient divine energy to proceed. If you choose to supplement the divine energy with your faith points, the new cost becomes 20,200FP and 40DE. Would you like to proceed? Y/N#]
