Rumble!
Several hours later.
Accompanied by the thunderous sound of the mountain collapsing.
A large section of the rocky mountain where the karst cave was located crumbled and collapsed.
Behind the shattered and collapsed mountain body, a massive, pitch-black cave entrance was revealed, followed by a giant dragon head poking out.
It was none other than Gale.
Several hours ago, after discovering that the original entrance to the karst cave was no longer large enough for him to pass through, Gale had found a relatively weak part of the mountain connected to the cave passage and dug a new way out.
However, once this exit was cleared, this lair was essentially ruined for Gale.
Because the tunnel Gale had dug was so large, not only could he pass through it, but even a Skullcrawler would have no problem entering.
Coincidentally, on Skull Island today, the only things that posed a fatal threat to Gale, besides King Kong, were the Skullcrawlers.
Under these circumstances, this karst cave lair no longer offered any safety or protection for Gale.
Therefore, this lair was now useless.
“I need to find a new lair.” Gale began to ponder what kind of lair he should look for next.
If he continued to look for caves like this one, setting aside whether he could even find another, the same situation would likely occur as his evolution level continued to rise.
Furthermore, through the process of digging his way out of the karst cave, Gale realized something he hadn’t considered before.
If Gale could dig through such a tunnel himself, then how difficult would it be for a Skullcrawler, a creature that specialized in living underground and was an expert at burrowing?
Before he evolved into a Flood Dragon Python, Gale thought he was safe hiding in the karst cave, believing it could block a Skullcrawler.
But looking at it now, Gale’s thoughts back then were completely wrong.
Even he could dig a tunnel out now, let alone a Skullcrawler, which was stronger and specialized in burrowing and underground living.
At most, it would just take them a bit more time.
One could only say that strength determines one’s perspective and understanding.
Before evolving into a Flood Dragon Python behemoth, Gale felt that staying in the karst cave was perfectly sufficient for defending against Skullcrawlers.
But now that he had completely evolved into the behemoth Flood Dragon Python, Gale realized the power of such creatures; the defense of a karst cave was simply not an issue for a powerful behemoth like a Skullcrawler.
“Perhaps I can choose the seaside for my next lair.” Gale thought to himself.
He felt that his next lair could be located by the sea.
That way, when faced with a behemoth threat on land that he couldn’t fight, Gale could escape into the sea.
And if he faced an insurmountable behemoth in the sea, Gale could crawl back onto land.
By utilizing the differences between sea and land, Gale could calmly deal with any behemoth enemy from either environment.
Unless he encountered a behemoth that was amphibious like himself, living by the seaside would give Gale a massive topographical advantage.
Furthermore, living by the sea offered another great benefit: Gale could also hunt in the ocean in the future.
Compared to the land, there were definitely just as many, if not more, creatures in the sea.
However, if he went into the sea to hunt, Gale also needed to be mindful of one thing: while there was more food and a wider range, there were also likely more dangers, perhaps even far exceeding the dangers on Skull Island.
But with his current strength, Gale believed that as long as he was cautious, there shouldn’t be any major problems.
With a plan in mind, Gale quickly made his decision.
He would head to the seaside to find a place to make his home.
Before leaving, Gale glanced back at the lake below the hillside.
Earlier, when he was consuming the heart blood of the Skullcrawler, that Giant Crocodile in the lake actually tried to hunt him.
Gale was definitely going to get his revenge for that.
However, for now, his strength might not necessarily surpass that Giant Crocodile.
After all, judging by its size earlier, that Giant Crocodile was also over twenty meters long—comparable to him now—and in terms of bulk, it was much larger than him.
So, although Gale had evolved into the behemoth Flood Dragon Python, he might not be able to defeat that Giant Crocodile yet.
To be safe, he should develop a bit more.
It wouldn’t be too late for revenge once his evolution level increased further, and his body length reached forty or fifty meters, ensuring a hundred percent chance of victory over that Giant Crocodile.
He chose the direction of the highest mountain peak in his line of sight.
Gale slowly twisted his Flood Dragon body and crawled away.
Along the way.
Countless creatures were frightened by Gale and fled in all directions.
Whether they were birds or beasts, anyone who saw Gale was filled with terror.
Gale’s current appearance and size were indeed somewhat terrifying, with a massive body measuring a full twenty-seven meters long.
Even on Skull Island, the current Gale was already a behemoth in his own right.
As Gale crawled, he constantly adapted to his current physical strength.
Especially regarding his speed.
After testing it out, Gale found that he was extremely fast; despite his massive size, he could easily outrun a cheetah in a full burst of speed.
Moreover, his endurance was strong; even at full burst, Gale could maintain it for at least several hours, with a speed of approximately 150 kilometers per hour.
Soon, Gale climbed the high peak that was his target.
Climbing the high peak to look out, his vision was instantly broad and vast.
Unfortunately, Gale did not see his target, the sea, within his view.
However, on the horizon to the left, Gale saw dark, dense clouds that looked like a storm.
Gale remembered from the movies in his previous life that before Skull Island was discovered, it was surrounded and isolated by a thick storm.
Thus, Skull Island was cut off from the world.
If the dark clouds on the left horizon were the storm, then that was likely the edge of Skull Island.
Gale immediately changed direction and headed toward the left.
Two hours later.
Gale deeply understood the saying, ‘The mountain you see is further than it looks.’ Two hours ago, when he saw the dark clouds on the left horizon from the mountain top, it didn’t seem very far, as if he would arrive after crossing a few mountains.
But now that he had actually started running toward it, Gale deeply experienced the meaning of distance.
For two whole hours, Gale had traveled at least a hundred miles, yet he still hadn’t arrived.
By this time, the sun had begun to tilt toward the west.
Everywhere in the sky, flocks of birds could be seen returning to the forest.
At this moment, Gale slowly crawled up a small hill.
But just as Gale reached the top of this small hill.
Rumble!
Accompanied by the thunderous sound of the earth splitting.
The small hill beneath Gale suddenly shook violently.
“What’s going on?” Realizing something was wrong, Gale quickly rushed down from the small hill to get away.
When he looked back at the small hill after rushing down, Gale’s pupils couldn’t help but contract violently.
It turned out that this small hill was no hill at all; it was clearly a Giant Turtle, fifty meters long, thirty meters wide, and twenty meters high.
This Giant Turtle had been lying on the ground previously, and its back was covered with various plants, so its body blended in with the surrounding terrain, causing Gale to miss it entirely.
But now that this Giant Turtle had suddenly stood up, Gale finally noticed this behemoth.
The size of this Giant Turtle was even more massive than the King Kong and Skullcrawlers he had seen.
“Ang—” After the Giant Turtle stood up, it let out a cry toward Gale with a resentful look in its eyes.
You’re crushing me!
It was originally sleeping soundly when it suddenly felt a heavy weight pressing down on it.
Upon opening its eyes, it saw Gale pressing down on its back.
Hearing the Giant Turtle’s cry, Gale’s eyes widened again.
Because Gale discovered something: he could actually understand the Giant Turtle’s meaning—it was complaining that Gale had woken it up by pressing down on it.
However, what Gale understood was not the literal sound of the Giant Turtle’s voice, but rather he perceived its inner thoughts through the sound.
It was as if he could sense the Giant Turtle’s most fundamental psychological activity through its voice.
Like Telepathy.
Could it be that behemoths have telepathic abilities and can communicate with each other through Telepathy?
Gale couldn’t help but speculate, and then he also spoke up.
“Ang—” Sorry for disturbing your sleep.
I didn’t notice you; you were hidden too well.
Gale’s voice sounded like a dragon’s roar as he transmitted his thoughts.
When his voice faded, Gale saw that the Giant Turtle actually understood his words as well, and it spoke again.
“Ang.” Forget it, I’ll go find somewhere else to sleep.
With that, the Giant Turtle turned around and walked away with its massive body.
And Gale understood the Giant Turtle’s words once more.
Behemoths really can communicate.
They have the ability of Telepathy!
