The group ran as hard as they could, not even looking back. The sounds of battle were enough to remind them what they were running from. After a long thirty minutes of running, the trio arrives at the dungeon, rushing down the stairs till the shard of light came into view. A soft sigh escaped their lips as they settled around the shard of light. Frenley lay his back against the wall, breathing heavily as he cleaned the sweat off his forehead.
“….Someone care to explain what happened?”
Mia said, looking at her companions. The kitsune was the first one to talk, her tails wrapping tightly around her body. Her ears rested on the top of her head.
“Explain what? Be specific”
“… Everything”
“Well, so we sneak into the camp as we plan, kill a lot of the soldiers. But then, we got caught when a soldier came out and walked into Frenley. We ran and spread fire across the camp. We could not reach the exit before being surrounded. We fought and would have died if not for the giant wolf that came out of nowhere. The soldiers started fighting it, and we escaped.”
“Okay, I understand the first part..but the wolf. The fuck is that!? Like, why did it appear in the camp?”
“We prepared a meal for it.” The girls looked at Frenley as he spoke. “The camp, the fire that we lit, must have attracted it, and it started to eat all the humans in it.”
“But there was already a fire in the middle of the camp, so it can't be that Fren,” Risa said as she looked at the fey.
“That is the only thing that makes sense to me. Maybe that reviving fire does not produce light? I really don't know.”
Frenley said as he brushed his wet hair out of his face. The group stayed quiet for a second; the only sound from them was their breathing slowly calming. The comfortable silence was broken by Mia's giggles.
“So, we are babes now?”
“Um?” Frenley looked at Mia, confused, but then his eyes were drawn to a blushing kitsune. It only took a second for his memories to come back. The way Risa said babe while in battle was quite clear; there was no mistaking it.
“Oh yeah, what are we a couple now?”

Mia said as she shook Fren's hand with pride. The two of them giggle as they look at the blushing kitsune.

“Haha, no need to feel forced to call us that, just because we called each other love and dear. But if you wish to continue calling us, that sweetie, that is more than fine by me!” Mia said as she got closer to the blushing kitsune.
“I agree with Mia, I am also fine with it. So, if you are fine with it, I shall call you dear as well.”
The kitsune didn't say anything, just nodding her head as she tried her best to hide her face on her knees. Mia and Fren smile softly as their eyes slowly grew heavy. The next second, they were wide awake. Frenley locked eyes with Mia. Smiling at the tall woman softly, who in turn returns the smile.
“You know, I bet this is how it feels to wake up next to someone.”
“It's similar, but you are missing the most important part, the body warmth. There is nothing quite like it. It is quite addicting waking up sharing the body heat of someone you love.”
“Uh, interesting. Could never imagine it was. I was 100% sure I would never get into a relationship and die alone.”

Frenley nodded his head at Risa's explanation, happy there was someone out there who understood how it was. Mia looked at him for a few seconds, thinking something in her head.
“How have you been reading my intention so far, Frenley?”
“Oh..um…playful flirting. But nothing serious! I know that is how you act around people.”
The fey said as he pulled some of his hair into his face, playing with it as he tried to calm down his beating heart and anxiety. The tall woman said quietly for a bit.
“And the dinner invitation, what did you think of that?”
“Um…just a dinner between friends.”
“Oh lord.”
“Mia, please, just explain it to him plain and clearly.”
The tall woman nodded her head as she stood up and walked to the shy-looking Frenley. She sat next to him. The woman grabbed his face, forcing him to look at her before she spoke.
“That was not an invitation for dinner between friends.. Well, we are friends now. But hopefully not forever. That was a date invitation. We are going on a date.”
The fey could not believe his ears; the tip of his elven ears became hot and red. His heartbeat against his chest like it was trying to break free from his rib cage.
“No, that can't be.. You ask if we could go eat something together right after gym.”
“I did that because I knew you would say no. We have work tomorrow after all. But you did give me a day, and that was the important bit.”
“Ah…but”
“I did it that way because I may be forward. But asking the guy I like out on a date is still too much for me. It won't be a big thing, just lunch and hanging out. But that is more than enough for me. I would love to know you better, and in a place where we aren't fighting for our lives.”
“Wait..y-”
“Yes, I like you. I know we haven't known each other for long. But that is what dates are for. Maybe this feeling will fade, maybe we won't work out. But we got to try, or we will forever live in regret.”
Frenley was shaking like a leaf at all of this new information. He didn't know what to say or do, so he opened his mouth to try to get something out. But Mia pressed her index finger against his lips. Speaking softly as she looked into his green eyes.
“No need to say anything, love, I can wait as long as you need. Let's get to know each other some more, shall we?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Perfect.”
Mia would then lean in, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. Causing the fey man's face to overheat once more, turning bright red. The soft, lingering feeling of her lips on his skin haunted him like a ghost at night. But this was a ghost he didn't want to run away from. Warmth flew over his heart as he smiled softly, holding his cheek as he looked at the floor.
“Well, guess you will be seeing your 40 dollars soon, sweetheart.”
That brought Risa out of her own mind, for the kitsune had found herself watching them with conflicted feelings. Feelings that she would have labeled as jealousy, not because she liked any of them. That couldn't be; she couldn't help but feel jealous when a couple was having a sweet romantic moment in front of her.
“I am pretty sure it is twenty dollars and a video.”
“Oh..you weren't joking about that”
“Just like you weren't joking about blowing him. But I understand if you don't want to share that intimate moment. So, I can comfort myself with my forty dollars.”

“I may have experimented a bit in college,” The tall girl said, feeling a lot of shame for her younger days of sleeping around. She looked at Frenley as she spoke softly. “I hope that does not turn you off, love.”
“The fact that you had sex before?” The fey said while looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
“No, the fact that I had lots of sex with different guys and girls before you. Some people are really picky about that.”
“I see no reason why that should bother me. Not like I own you or something, everyone has a history before you meet them. Plus..that just means you know what you like and can guide me into pleasing you better.”

Frenley could not believe what he was hearing; his mind could not make sense of the words. He could hear them, understand each syllable that left their delicious lips. But the order in which they spoke them made no sense to him.

The two girls nodded.

“Alright with the talk about feelings and sex out of the way, let's go and find that boss,” Frenley said as he started to walk towards the exit.
“Sure thing! Let's get this show on the road!” Risa said with a soft smile on her face.

Pov: Mia
Mia watched the two of them walk past her. The way their hips were moving was quite hypnotic for the tall woman. She licked her lips as she walked behind them. But as quickly as she did that, she caught herself.

The voice of Frenley brought Mia back to reality, only to see that the moon was dipping down and rays of sunlight had peeked from the horizon. With heavy eyelids, she closed her eyes with no control over herself. Only to wake up in her bed. She stared at the ceiling for a few seconds.
"Waking up has never been more of a pain."
