Seeing him glance toward the bathroom, Feng Jingxin said, “Mommy is taking a shower in there.”

“Mm.”

Feng Tingshen responded. He then asked, “Did you ask your mommy to come shower here?”Full novel: Mr. Feng, your wife has been wanting a divorce for ages — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“No, Mommy brought her own clothes over,” she replied.

Feng Tingshen didn’t ask any further.

After chatting with her for a moment and telling her to rest early, he turned and left.

Rong Ci had heard the commotion from inside the bathroom and knew Feng Tingshen had come, but she couldn’t make out what they had said.

Feng Jingxin hadn’t fully recovered from her illness, and the medicine made her drowsy.

Seeing how late it was getting, Rong Ci lay down in bed with her daughter after finishing her shower.

Feng Jingxin snuggled into her mother’s arms, rubbing against her shoulder.

“Mommy smells so nice and feels so soft.”

She thought her mother’s embrace was the most comfortable in the world—even more so than Auntie Wuwu’s.

However, knowing that Rong Ci didn’t like Lin Wu, she kept that thought to herself.

Feng Jingxin soon fell asleep.

Rong Ci was exhausted as well, and before long, she drifted off too.

Ever since Feng Jingxin had been sick, she had developed a terrible habit of kicking off her blankets.

Perhaps out of ingrained worry, Rong Ci still tended to her daughter just as she always had.

She woke up several times throughout the night, only allowing herself to sleep peacefully again after making sure the blankets were securely tucked around the little girl to prevent her from catching a chill.

Rong Ci didn’t sleep well that night, yet she woke up at the break of dawn.

Feng Jingxin was still asleep.

Rong Ci got out of bed as quietly as possible and glanced out the window, only to see that Feng Tingshen was indeed jogging downstairs.

He usually ran for about an hour before coming back.

After washing up and changing her clothes, Rong Ci went downstairs to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Half an hour later, she handed the remaining tasks over to Auntie Liu.

Once she confirmed that Feng Jingxin’s fever hadn’t returned, she went upstairs, grabbed her bag and car keys, and left.

Not long after she departed, Feng Jingxin woke up.

After looking around and not finding Rong Ci, she asked, “Where is Mommy?”

“Madam had something to attend to and went out,” Auntie Liu replied.

Feng Jingxin pouted.

“Oh…”Auntie Liu smiled.

“But Madam already prepared your breakfast before she left.”

That finally lifted Feng Jingxin’s spirits.

Though she hadn’t fully recovered, she was in good spirits and feeling hungry.

After washing up, she went downstairs to eat.

A while later, Feng Tingshen came downstairs. Not seeing Rong Ci, he paused and asked Auntie Liu, “Where is Madam?”

“Oh, Madam went out.”

After returning home, Rong Ci ate something and packed her computer and other essentials.

Just as she was about to leave for her first day at the company, the doorbell rang.

Rong Ci checked the doorbell camera and saw her neighbor, Mrs.

Fang, and her daughter, Tiantian.

Rong Ci opened the door.

“Mrs.

Fang…”

Mrs.

Fang looked anxious.

“Miss Rong, Tiantian’s grandmother is ill, and I need to take her to the hospital.

Could I trouble you to take Tiantian to school?”

The kindergarten that Feng Jingxin and Tiantian attended was right on the way to Rong Ci’s company, so she agreed.

Twenty minutes later, as she arrived near the kindergarten gates and was looking for a place to park, Rong Ci spotted Feng Tingshen, Lin Wu, and Feng Jingxin.

Feng Jingxin looked energetic.

Hand in hand with Lin Wu, she bounced happily along as they walked. As for Feng Tingshen, he stood beside Lin Wu, thoughtfully shielding her and Feng Jingxin from the flow of traffic and pedestrians.

Tiantian also spotted Feng Jingxin.

“Sister Rong, it’s Xinxin!”

Rong Ci lowered her gaze.

“Mm, Auntie sees her.”

“Who is that pretty auntie holding Xinxin’s hand?

Is she Xinxin’s mommy too?

Does Xinxin have two mommies?”

Rong Ci didn’t answer.

She simply patted Tiantian’s head and said, “Tiantian, please don’t tell Xinxin that Auntie dropped you off, okay?”

Tiantian nodded.

“Tiantian understands.”

Last time, just because she had hugged Sister Rong, Xinxin had acted so fierce.

Tiantian was actually a bit afraid of her and rarely dared to talk to her.

And Xinxin, perhaps still angry, would always glare at her with puffed cheeks whenever she saw her…Up ahead, Feng Tingshen, Lin Wu, and Feng Jingxin looked exactly like a happy family of three.

Watching them, Rong Ci genuinely felt that it was a good thing.

She withdrew her gaze.

A while later, after Feng Tingshen and Lin Wu had left, Rong Ci took Tiantian out of the car.

Feng Jingxin’s teacher knew that Rong Ci was the child’s mother.

When she had seen Feng Jingxin being dropped off by her father and another woman earlier, she had simply assumed Rong Ci was too busy to come.

But now…Seeing Rong Ci holding Tiantian’s hand, the teacher’s mind instantly went blank.

“Miss Rong, you and Tiantian…”

“Mrs.

Fang had an emergency and asked me to help bring Tiantian over,” Rong Ci explained.

Xinxin arrived at school earlier, only—”

“I know,” Rong Ci said with a smile.

The teacher was still a bit bewildered, but seeing that Rong Ci seemed aware and completely unbothered, she didn’t say anything more.

After leaving the kindergarten and getting back into her car, Yu Moxun’s call came through.

“What time will you arrive?”

“In about ten minutes.”

“Alright.”

When Rong Ci arrived at Changmo, Yu Moxun was already waiting for her at the company entrance.

Seeing her, he opened his arms and gave her a hug.

“Welcome back.”

Rong Ci smiled and hugged him back.

At the same time.In the corridor of the office building, Ye Qiuyu was leaning against the window, talking on the phone.

Noticing the commotion at the entrance and catching a glimpse of Rong Ci’s face, he was instantly captivated by her beauty.

However, he quickly averted his gaze as the call to Lin Wu connected.Smiling, he took the lead.

“Junior Sister Lin, morning.

When will you be arriving at the company?”

Whatever Lin Wu said on the other end caused Ye Qiuyu’s expression to shift slightly.

A while later, as he returned to his workstation, his colleagues noticed his foul mood.

“Qiuyu, what’s wrong this early in the morning?

Are you sick?”

Ye Qiuyu shook his head silently.Soon, other colleagues began trickling in.

Someone whispered mysteriously, “I just saw President Yu bring a gorgeous woman into the company—”

“Is she really that beautiful?

Don’t lie to me just because I haven’t read much!”

“She really is!

She’s even more beautiful than a big star, glowing white, and absolutely stunning!”

Ye Qiuyu immediately thought of the beautiful woman who had thrown herself into Yu Moxun’s arms at the company entrance not long ago.

Then, someone added, “And I heard that this beauty is our new colleague starting today!”

Hearing this, Ye Qiuyu froze.

Lin Wu was his junior sister.

Upon learning that she was attracted to CUAP and wanted to work at Changmo, he had immediately recommended her to Yu Moxun.

When they had met previously, Yu Moxun had clearly been very satisfied with Lin Wu.

Today was supposed to be Lin Wu’s scheduled first day.

He had just called her to ask when she would arrive, only for Lin Wu to tell him that Yu Moxun was no longer hiring her due to personal reasons.

As for what those personal reasons were…

Just as Ye Qiuyu was pondering this, Yu Moxun walked in with Rong Ci.
