Editor: Henyee Translations When Edgar heard Grace mention that her idol was the same Evelyn he was currently having dinner with, he couldn’t help but laugh.

Grace was well-known around campus for her lively personality and boundless enthusiasm.

More importantly, her genuine passion for medicine had always impressed him.Full novel: Mr. Lowell, Your Fiancée is a Medical Genius! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Of course,” Edgar added warmly.

“If there’s ever anything you don’t understand, don’t hesitate to ask.

Medicine isn’t easy.

You need the courage to solve difficult problems head-on.

And since you are such a dedicated student, I have some good news for you.” Grace’s eyes lit up.

“Really, Professor Freeman?

What kind of good news?” “If everything goes according to plan, Dr.

Lynn will be giving a lecture at our university later this year.

It will be a special event with only two hundred seats available,” Edgar said.

His eyes flicked as he said playfully, leaning, “But I can reserve one for you.” Grace froze.

“Seriously!

Dr.

Lynn’s coming here?” Edgar nodded with a smile.

“Absolutely.” The excitement hit her all at once.

“Thank you, Professor Freeman!

Thank you so much!” she exclaimed.

“This is incredible!

I will finally get to see Dr.

Lynn in person.

He’s the greatest doctor I have ever admired.” Edgar chuckled.

“No need to thank me.

My own idol is still waiting for me, so I had better get back.” Grace blinked.

He had casually mentioned his idol earlier, and now her curiosity was impossible to ignore.

Who could possibly be Professor Freeman’s idol?

Unable to resist, she slowed her pace and quietly followed him down the hallway.

She watched Edgar enter one of the private dining rooms and instinctively moved closer, peering through the partially open doorway.

A figure came into view.

A woman?

And judging by her silhouette, she couldn’t have been much older than Grace herself.

Grace frowned.

How could someone that young earn Professor Freeman’s admiration?

She edged forward for a better look, but the woman was seated sideways to the door.

All Grace could see was a slender frame and a cascade of long black hair draped over her shoulders, completely obscuring her face.

“You have already finished everything?” Edgar’s amused voice drifted from inside.

Grace leaned closer.

Just as she was about to catch a glimpse of the woman’s face, the door swung shut.

She sighed in disappointment.

Apparently, she wasn’t destined to find out what Professor Freeman’s mysterious idol looked like.

Still, the thought quickly faded.

Compared to a stranger, the upcoming lecture was far more important.

In Grace’s imagination, Dr.

Lynn, despite having a feminine name, had always been a legendary male physician.

Someone impossibly accomplished.

She pictured a handsome, sophisticated man with decades of experience.

Smiling to herself, she pulled out her phone on the way to the restroom and opened her social media account.

Best day ever!

My idol, Dr.

Lynn is coming to our university for a lecture, and Professor Freeman personally reserved a seat for me!

The post had barely gone live before notifications began flooding in.

“Dr.

Lynn?

The world-famous surgeon?” “Wait, he’s actually making a public appearance?” “Grace, how did you pull that off?!” “He’s my idol too!

I didn’t get into Crestview Medical, so please livestream it for us!” Everyone in the medical field knew the name.

Dr.

Lynn.

Watching the likes and comments pour in, Grace couldn’t help feeling proud.

Inside the private dining room— “Oh, right,” Edgar said casually, settling into his seat.

“I ran into one of our students outside.

She couldn’t stop talking about you.

Seems she’s a huge fan.” Evelyn raised an eyebrow.

“Really?

You should have brought her in for an autograph.” Edgar laughed.

“If I actually did that, you would disappear immediately.

You enjoy staying mysterious too much.” A faint smile touched Evelyn’s lips as she lifted her teacup.

“Maybe.” Meanwhile, in another private dining room, Grace stepped inside after returning from the restroom.

She smoothed her hair and offered a sweet smile.

“Sorry for keeping you waiting, Miles.” Miles sat lazily in his chair, a soda in hand.

He had ordered it while she was gone.

He didn’t respond.

Instead, he absently bit down on the straw.

Grace pretended not to notice and took her seat.

“By the way, what happened last time?

I waited forever, but you never showed up.” “Something came up,” Miles replied flatly.

“Let’s get to the point.” A flicker of annoyance crossed Grace’s face.

Why was he always so cold toward her?

Then she quickly reassured herself.

That’s just how Miles is.

Men of his status didn’t need to be warm or accommodating.

She lowered her eyes modestly.

“So, Miles, have you come up with any ideas?” “If I had, I wouldn’t still be sitting here.” Miles had countless ways to deal with business rivals.

Manipulating an ordinary woman like Evelyn, however, wasn’t exactly his area of expertise.

Grace lowered her gaze thoughtfully.

“Then let me think about it.” In reality, she had already decided on a plan the moment Miles agreed to work with her.

Her birthday party was only a few weeks away.

If Evelyn were publicly accused of stealing something during the celebration.

The Lowell family would never accept a future daughter-in-law with a scandal like that hanging over her head.

The engagement would fall apart on its own.

The thought of Evelyn being humiliated in front of everyone filled Grace with anticipation.

At first, she had simply disliked Evelyn for becoming part of the family and drawing attention away from her.

But after meeting her face-to-face, Evelyn’s cool indifference had only intensified that resentment.

Worst of all, Evelyn hadn’t even bothered trying to win her over.

For some reason, that irritated Grace more than anything.

Of course, she couldn’t be the one to suggest such a scheme directly.

Furrowing her brows, she pretended to think.

“I can’t come up with anything right now.

Maybe I’ll ask a friend.

She’s usually good at this sort of thing.” Miles saw through the act immediately.

He scoffed slightly.

He simply didn’t care enough to expose it.

“Fine.” Grace picked up her phone and pretended to send a message.

A few seconds later, she looked up.

“She replied.” After staring at the blank screen for a dramatic pause, she continued.

“My friend thinks…” she paused before continuing.

Then, as if suggesting, she said, “We could frame my sister.

Maybe accuse her of stealing something valuable.

With the Lowell family’s reputation, there’s no way you would accept a daughter-in-law involved in a theft scandal.

Combined with the lie about her education, it would be more than enough reason to call off the engagement.” Miles leaned back and studied her quietly.

Under his gaze, Grace felt a stab of guilt and quickly looked away.

“You probably think that’s too harsh, don’t you, Miles?” she asked softly.

“If so, I will tell her no.” Your friend?

Miles almost laughed.

The hypocrisy was laughable.

But none of that mattered to him.

As long as the plan achieved the desired result, he didn’t care who came up with it.

“I don’t care how it’s done,” he said coolly.

“As long as it works.” The conversation was over.

Miles stood and left without another word.

As soon as he stepped outside the restaurant, he pulled out his phone and dialled a number.

The call connected almost immediately.

“Hey, Miles,” a man’s voice answered.

Miles got straight to the point.

“What did I ask you to investigate last time?

Have you found anything about the woman who saved me?”
