Luca tapped his bare feet on the floor impatiently.
In his hands was a neatly folded blue shirt, and it seemed like he was counting down to something that was about to happen.
Not long after, he heard the doorbell of his apartment ring, and he immediately walked towards the door before opening it without peeking through the peephole.
It seemed like he was so sure of the person who had just rang his doorbell, and he even hurriedly pushed the blue shirt into the person’s hands, making the person flinch in surprise.
“What is it?” The person asked in confusion, but his eyes were fixated on Luca instead of looking at the shirt that had moved into his hand.
“Why can’t you recognize your own shirt?
Didn’t you tell me that the uniform was so precious to you that you even yelled at me angrily last Friday?
You also said that the Food Supply Department only gave you one uniform, but I can see that you are now wearing another one,” Luca replied coldly to the man.
It was Monday, so it was the time for Finn to distribute free lunch in Building 46.
Luca had been waiting for the blonde to come so he could return the washed shirt to its owner.
“I washed the shirt, and I returned it to you, so I don’t owe you anything anymore, right?
Now, give me the lunch box, and you can go.
We no longer have business with each other,” Luca continued coldly, reaching out to take the lunch box from Finn’s hand.
Unexpectedly, Finn suddenly pulled the only lunch box in his hand so that it was out of Luca’s reach.
Of course, Luca immediately frowned in displeasure at the blonde’s annoying attitude.
“What do you want from me?
Are you not satisfied after bullying me last week?” Luca snapped angrily at the taller man.
“On the contrary, I want to tell you something, but the thing I want to tell you is in my pocket.
Can you get it for me?
My left hand is holding your lunch box, while my right hand is holding my shirt.
I can’t reach the thing in my pocket.”
Luca looked even more irritated.
“Just hand me the lunch box so you can take out whatever is in your pocket!” He snapped angrily once more.
However, Finn shook his head firmly before replying, “If I let you take the lunch box that easily, then you would immediately turn around before entering your apartment, and then you would slam the door right in my face.
I’m not stupid enough to do that.”
Luca gritted his teeth angrily.
“Do you think I won’t turn around without the lunch box?
I can still slam the door in your face even if you don’t give me the lunch box!”
“Sure.
You can do that, but that means you’ll go hungry today because there’s a new rule regarding the free lunch provided by the Food Supply Department.
In order to prevent the food from the department from going to waste, the department has ordered all food stores in the East Block to close their services from 10 am to 7 pm on Mondays and Fridays.
That means you’ll have to wait until 7 pm if you want to eat something, Wolfie.”
Luca had almost forgotten the new rule from the Food Supply Department.
It was one of the leader’s decisions to provide food for all the block’s residents twice a week, but some residents were picky about their food, causing some of the food provided by the department to go to waste because the residents chose to buy other food from the food stores.
At first, Luca had the idea to order food from outside after refusing the free lunch in Finn’s hand, but he had to think about his empty stomach because he skipped breakfast today just like usual.
He knew that his stomach would definitely cry if he refused the free food.
That put him in a difficult situation, but after a moment of consideration, he chose to give in to his stomach while asking, “Which pocket should I look in?”
For a moment, Luca seemed hesitant to move his hand to the pocket, but he then told himself that he would just look for something in that pocket instead of doing something inappropriate, and that was why he started to reach his hand into the pocket.
His fingers were the first to enter the pocket, and he started to search there.
After finding something, he took it out, and it turned out to be a key.
“Oh.
That’s my motorbike key.
You can try looking for something else,” Finn said casually, and Luca was even more annoyed by it.
However, he still shifted the key to his left hand before returning his right hand to search through Finn’s left pocket once more.
This time, he pulled out a chocolate bar, but Finn once again told him to look for something else.
Luca’s patience finally ran out.
“What do you want me to look for in your damn pocket?” He snapped at the taller man once more.
“I want you to look for a neatly folded piece of paper in my pocket,” Finn replied calmly, and Luca’s head roared with anger.
Nevertheless, he still searched the delivery man’s pocket, and this time, his fingers actually felt something like paper inside the pocket.
He suddenly looked excited as his eyes widened, and Finn had to restrain himself from smiling like an idiot at the adorable reaction.
Luca quickly pulled the paper out of the pocket.
It was indeed a piece of paper, but it was folded up very small, and he stared at it for a moment before starting to unfold it.
There was something written on the paper, and Luca read it carefully.
His eyes then bulged in surprise.
