It was during the chaotic era of the Gaia War.
The overwhelming fear of losing two of his daughters consumed him.
In the memory, Miyi stood amidst the wreckage of the Sun Kingdom, which had already been completely destroyed and engulfed in raging flames.
Standing directly across the battlefield was the terrifying figure of the Great Warlord of Gaia.
Suddenly, he noticed his two youngest daughters sprinting across the scorched earth toward him, looking for immediate orders.
Rory appeared exactly as she always did, but Sliviy looked completely different compared to her serious present-day self; back then, she was a very cheerful and bright girl.
"Father! Father! What is going on?!" Sliviy asked urgently as they reached him.
"The Sun Kingdom was attacked by the Great Warlord of Gaia," Miyi replied grimly.
"The Great Warlord of Gaia?! That's so cool! I want to fight it!" Rory shouted, her face lighting up with excitement despite the danger.
Sliviy let out a heavy, exhausted sigh at her sister's reckless behavior. "Rory…"
"Please?" Rory begged, turning to Sliviy with a pout.
"No, Rory. Absolutely not, Rory," Sliviy replied, her voice filled with concern.
Refusing to give up, Rory turned her wide eyes up to her father. "Father, please! Can I?"
Miyi offered a small, reassuring chuckle. "Haha, the fighting can wait. But first, we need to help the civilians, okay?"
"Yes, sir!" Rory replied happily, giving a quick salute.
Sliviy bowed her head slightly, looking apologetic. "Sorry, Father. Rory is just such a…"
"Don't worry about it, Sliviy. Just keep a close eye on her, okay?" Miyi instructed gently, glancing around the burning ruins to locate survivors.
"I shouldn't have ordered them…"
Miyi's present-day consciousness echoed with deep, biting regret.
Suddenly, Rory's voice pierced the smoke. "Father! Father! Look!"
she called out, pointing directly at a bizarre, pulsing device sitting in the open.
"Rory, don't run toward it!" Sliviy shouted in panic, immediately chasing after her sister to keep an eye on her just as her father had commanded.
"Don't follow it! That is a dungeon core!!"
Miyi's present self screamed out in agonizing memory.
"Rory! Sliviy! Wait! That's a danger zone!!" Miyi yelled in real-time, his heart dropping as he bolted forward to intercept them.
"I SHOULD HAVE RUN FASTER!!"
his present self shrieked in absolute terror.
Before he could bridge the gap, the dungeon core suddenly began to violently mutate. It evolved into a De-Loidetor, but it wasn't alone.
Six of the massive, terrifying creatures materialized all at the exact same time.
Miyi screamed at the top of his lungs, desperately commanding his daughters to run, but it was already too late.
He pushed his legs to their absolute limit, trying to save them, but his body simply could not close the distance in time.
Even so, he refused to stop running, desperately pressing forward through the smoke as he prayed with everything he had left.
"PLEASE, GOD! PLEASE LET MY DAUGHTERS LIVE!!"
Miyi abruptly gasped, snapping awake in a cold sweat.
He blinked against the bright morning light filling the room, quickly realizing he was safely back in the present day, lying in the comfort of the King's bedroom.
Heart pounding, Miyi rubbed his face and desperately tried to piece together the nightmare he had just experienced, but the details slipped away like water, leaving him unable to remember any of it.
Exhaling slowly to calm his nerves, Miyi forced himself out of bed and quietly began his normal daily routine.
