Dear Hailuot:
I was delighted to hear that you had been admitted to the Imperial Royal Academy. I am proud to have such an excellent son. Your mother's decision to take you away back then was the right one. She is a far-sighted woman who understood what kind of environment would be best for your growth.
These days I've developed the habit of reading the newspaper every day, because I can find news of her on it almost every day, as if she were still by my side. It's just that she has protected you far too well — everyone only knows that Irina has a son, but no one knows that son is you, so much so that I can only learn a little about you from the letters Irina writes me.
According to Irina's agreement with me, I was not supposed to contact you privately. She feared that my influence would lead you to accept the family's legacy and become a Necromancer whom no one liked.
But recently, strange things have been happening in the Family Cemetery. As the last Gravekeeper of the Old Dominator, House Claurend, I must open the Graveyard and enter it to investigate.
If I die or go missing, I will have this letter delivered to you four years from now, when you graduate from university.
Whether to inherit the family, or let the Old Dominator vanish into the long river of history…
The choice is yours!
Your loving father: Weston · Soul Eater · Old Dominator · Claurend
