The moment they met, Soul Eater gave him four pieces of Golden Equipment, and a full set at that.
Such generosity... left Hailuot displeased.
"I heard the best equipment in the game is orange. Why did you only give me gold?"
Soul Eater expected his starter gift package to make his son cry out in excitement, but the boy turned up his nose at it instead.
"Do you know how difficult it is to obtain Orange Equipment in this game? I've grinded for four years and have only four pieces of Orange Gear. Three were championship rewards from the 'Number One Under Heaven' tournament."
Hailuot held out his hand and said, "You have four. Give me one."
If anyone other than his own son had been standing before him, Soul Eater would have taught them a lesson.
"You can't use them..." Soul Eater patiently explained. "The minimum level requirement for Orange Gear is level 70. I still have two pieces requiring level 80 that I can't use. The equipment I've prepared is the best available for your level and will serve you until level 30.
By then, I'll have another Gold Set ready for you to use."

Who would have thought Soul Eater would say, "I don't have time to help you level up."
Hailuot looked puzzled. "Why not?"
Soul Eater sighed. "There are only six months left until the fourth 'Number One Under Heaven' tournament. I have to make full use of every minute to prepare. Look at the Leaderboard — the players behind me are nipping at my heels, and they all have their own support teams.
As my competitors' understanding of the game grows, my advantages are becoming less obvious, while my weaknesses are becoming more exposed.
But I want to keep winning the championship, so I have to keep growing stronger.

"I understand!" Hailuot didn't get upset over it. He said, "I can tell that even though you've become Undead now, you have even more vitality than you did before.
