Wu Ke was stung by his words, and his expression shifted slightly beyond his control. He really did hate Feng Xingyun’s mouth, it was like a knife, always choosing the most cutting moments to speak.

And yet, everything good always fell into Feng Xingyun’s lap, leaving nothing but envy in others.

Still, at least Liu Duanhe probably wasn’t going to make a fuss about it. He breathed a sigh of relief.Full novel: My Hated Roommate Is Actually My Boyfriend?! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Seeing that Liu Duanhe was fine, the gathered spectators gradually dispersed under the direction of the other department’s captain and the referee, returning to their seats.

Once free from the spotlight, Feng Xingyun immediately said, “Want to go to the hospital later? Your complexion really doesn’t look good.”

Liu Duanhe paused for a moment, then patted his arm reassuringly. This time, with direct skin contact, his resistance had almost visibly disappeared. The minty, herbal scent on Feng Xingyun, mixed with rising body heat, wasn’t unpleasant to him.

With the gradual buildup from earlier, simple skin contact with Feng Xingyun was now much easier to accept.

Liu Duanhe’s cleanliness obsession was actually more like OCD. In front of people he could psychologically accept, his symptoms wouldn’t show, it’s just that the number of people he could accept was very small. Currently, there were only two or three: his grandfather, the old butler who had watched him grow up, and Aunt Zhao.

The others dispersed, but the team members didn’t leave. After all, Feng Xingyun had looked very tense earlier, and they were worried something was wrong. Liu Duanhe then explained gently, “You all should continue the match, don’t worry about me. I just have a slight headache, it’s an old issue. You must have prepared for this game for a long time, so go ahead and finish it.”

Feng Xingyun was the captain, and seeing that Liu Duanhe had no real issues, he could lead them all down, but because of what had happened earlier, the more they played, the hotter their tempers ran during the game.

After the match ended, both sides were already looking at each other with daggers in their eyes, noses twisted in disdain. Post-game, the players from both teams started trading veiled barbs and snide remarks, with Feng Xingyun even stepping in personally. In the end, it was the vice captain who had to grit his teeth and desperately smooth things over with the opposing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering team, smiling until his face went stiff, barely managing to keep the situation under control.

Feng Xingyun’s temper had been at its worst during high school, and he’d gotten into no shortage of fights. If it weren’t for the fear of his dad finding out and whipping him, being an adult and still having his parents called in, he would definitely have arranged a real-life face-to-face brawl with Wu Ke, to teach him a lesson and stop him from poking at his temper.

They each headed to the first row of the spectator stands where their bags were placed, to grab towels and water.

Liu Duanhe had a smile in his eyes; what had just happened seemed to leave no trace in his mind. He picked up the water and a disposable disinfectant towel from the bag at his side and handed them to Feng Xingyun.

Feng Xingyun took them, noticing the unfamiliar bag, and licked his lips. “Where did this come from? Did you leave just now?”

But he was certain Liu Duanhe hadn’t left the spectator stands at all.

Besides, Liu Duanhe didn’t seem like the type to run around sweating just to personally buy water for him, especially since the team’s cases of water were right at their feet.

He stood up, almost at eye level with Feng Xingyun, and lazily tucked his hands into his pockets. “Had a delivery guy buy it.”

Though it was just a formality, Feng Xingyun was actually quite pleased. A hint of amusement showed through his sharp gaze. “Next time, if you didn’t buy it, I won’t drink it.” Maybe they were already friends.

Feng Xingyun was a bit surprised, half a month ago, he never would have imagined this day would come, being able to chat calmly with Liu Duanhe.

“Really?” Liu Duanhe raised his right hand from his side, staring into his eyes, and lightly tapped his chest with pale, slender fingers. It was the first time he’d ever touched someone else’s pectoral muscles, even if it was through clothing.

Feng Xingyun was so startled he instinctively stepped back. “What are you doing?”

Wasn’t he the one who started being clingy first?

Liu Duanhe was a bit puzzled by his reaction. His gaze shifted from Feng Xingyun’s eyes to his chest, and he commented objectively, “You’ve got a great build, just the right amount. How do you train?”

Feng Xingyun felt like Liu Duanhe was completely breaking character. He replied hesitantly, “Just playing basketball, running regularly, and practicing boxing.”

Liu Duanhe nodded. “Seems like it’s an innate genetic advantage, like how some people can only build six-pack abs while others can manage eight.”

Feng Xingyun twisted open the bottle cap and took a sip of water. Thanks to his buzz cut being short enough, his hair still held its shape, but sweat was still streaming down from his forehead.

Noticing that he was holding water in one hand while the bottle cap and towel were awkwardly clutched in the other, Liu Duanhe naturally took the disposable towel from his hand.

He tore open the packaging and handed it to Feng Xingyun. “Wipe your sweat, it’s about to drip down. Give me the water.”

Feng Xingyun was surprised again. Liu Duanhe was truly considerate to his friends; no wonder so many people liked him. He suddenly felt he understood those people a bit.

Regardless of what Liu Duanhe thought inside or what his true personality was like, his treatment of all friends was thoughtful and grounded in action. At least right now, Feng Xingyun felt genuinely comfortable.

Taking the towel with one hand and passing the water over with the other, Feng Xingyun wiped the sweat from his face and neck while thinking, and besides, he was covered in sweat right now, yet Liu Duanhe hadn’t shown the same disdain he used to.

What’s more, his gaze landed on Liu Duanhe’s curved, smiling lips. He was just so handsome, Feng Xingyun had never seen anyone better-looking than him. His features were so perfect they didn’t seem real, like someone from another dimension. Just looking at him was enough to please the eye and lift the spirits.
