"Hello, President Tang."

Lu Yibei extended his hand to shake with Tang Jianguo.

"Young Master Lu is even younger than I imagined, truly accomplished at such a young age. At your age, I was still in the bank lobby photocopying ID cards for customers."

Lu Yibei glanced at him.

No wonder he could rise to the position of Deputy President at the branch; his way of speaking was indeed different.

"You're too kind, President Tang."

"It's only right. It's hot outside, let's go in and talk."

Tang Jianguo personally led the way.

The staff in the lobby noticed him bringing in a young man and turned their heads. Someone was about to step forward to inquire, but Tang Jianguo raised his hand to signal it wasn't necessary, even pressing the elevator button himself.

"Does Young Master Lu usually live in Pengcheng?"

"I've been studying in Pengcheng for the past two years."

"Pengcheng University is great, lots of young people and opportunities," Tang Jianguo laughed. "But with your insight, Young Master Lu, the courses there might just be a way to pass the time."

His flattery was quite natural.

Not only did he praise him, but he also conveniently provided a reason for skipping classes in the future.

The elevator doors closed.

Tang Jianguo casually asked, "Has Young Master Lu ever lived overseas?"

"No."

"Do your family elders develop overseas long-term?"

"No."

"The shares you're holding this time, the transfer channels are very professional. I've been in banking for many years, and such clean and swift procedures are rare."

"Just lucky."

Tang Jianguo nodded with a smile, not pressing further.

But Lu Yibei understood.

President Tang had clearly done his homework on him beforehand.

Which was normal. A university student in his early twenties suddenly holding 0.5% of Walmart's shares would make anyone want to check which rock this person had popped out of.

But the identity details prepared by the system were too clean; all Tang Jianguo could find was Lu Yibei's normal history from childhood.

No wealthy family, no conglomerate, and no rich person with the surname Lu.

The less they could find, the more people would fill in the blanks themselves.

Tang Jianguo's questions circled around, all hinting at an overseas background. Clearly, he had classified Lu Yibei as a mysterious young master with a family developing quietly overseas and domestic records processed.

Lu Yibei didn't explain.

A misunderstanding was just a beautiful misunderstanding.

The elevator stopped at the top floor.

Tang Jianguo led Lu Yibei towards the office, introducing Huashang Bank's services in cross-border finance, family wealth management, and overseas asset allocation along the way.

"Young Master Lu, in terms of scale, Huashang isn't the largest nationwide. But in Pengcheng, I dare say, as long as it's within compliance, we'll do our best for our clients."

"We're not afraid of high demands from clients; we're just afraid clients won't give us a chance."

"Choosing Huashang is a sign of trust, and I, Tang Jianguo, will certainly live up to it."

Lu Yibei could see it clearly.

Tang Jianguo wasn't just giving it his all today.

He was giving it his all and more.

From Tang Jianguo's attitude, it wasn't hard for Lu Yibei to see that he wasn't being treated as an ordinary high-net-worth client, but more like a path to somewhere unknown. It didn't matter if the background couldn't be traced; the shares were real, the money was real.

The more connections, the better.

The office door opened, and tea and documents were already prepared inside. Tang Jianguo didn't sit behind the desk but accompanied Lu Yibei in the reception area.

"Young Master Lu, here are the share custody confirmation, dividend settlement documents, and cross-border tax explanations. Please have a look, and if there's anything unclear, I'll have the team explain it in person."

Lu Yibei flipped through them.

"President Tang."

"Yes?"

"If nothing unexpected happens and your service remains this attentive, I won't easily switch banks."

Tang Jianguo's eyes noticeably brightened.

"Rest assured, Young Master Lu, I'll personally oversee your matters at Huashang."

This wasn't just polite talk.

With assets worth 28 billion, even if only a portion remained at Huashang, it would be enough to boost the branch's performance this year.

Tang Jianguo pressed the call button on the desk.

"Mingyue, come in for a moment."

The office door was soon knocked on.

A young woman in professional attire, wearing a well-fitted bank uniform with long hair tied back, entered and nodded to Lu Yibei.

"President Tang."

"Young Master Lu, this is Li Mingyue, twenty-three years old, a finance major graduate. Her business skills, confidentiality awareness, and execution are all excellent."

Tang Jianguo turned to Li Mingyue and said, "From today, Young Master Lu is your only dedicated client. His business takes top priority, and report to me immediately if there's anything needed."

Li Mingyue paused slightly, quickly regaining her composure.

Her brief pause indicated she hadn't expected to be assigned as a dedicated client manager for just one person.

"Hello, Mr. Lu, I'm Li Mingyue. From now on, you can contact me directly for your bank account, fund management, and daily financial needs."

She handed over a business card with both hands.

Lu Yibei took it and glanced at it.

"Thank you."

"It's my duty."

Li Mingyue's response was steady, neither rushing to impress nor showing doubt because of Lu Yibei's youth.

His first impression of her was quite good.

After confirming the procedures, Tang Jianguo personally collected the documents and had Li Mingyue set up the private bank account and contact methods.

Glancing at the time, Lu Yibei suddenly remembered something.

"President Tang, do you know anyone influential at Pengcheng University?"

Tang Jianguo immediately sat up straighter.

"Pengcheng University? We at Huashang have quite a few collaborations with the school. I can contact the school leadership, foundation, and several departments. Has Young Master Lu encountered something?"

"It's nothing major."

Lu Yibei leaned back on the sofa, speaking casually.

"I just don't want to attend classes on time every day."

Tang Jianguo was momentarily stunned.

Judging by the asset plans Tang Jianguo had laid out earlier, he was clearly prepared to handle large fund transfers, but he hadn't expected Lu Yibei's first personal request to be about skipping classes.

"What is the essence of going to school?" Lu Yibei asked.

Tang Jianguo tentatively answered, "To learn knowledge?"

"It's to find a good job."

Lu Yibei pointed to the share documents on the table.

"President Tang, with my net worth, am I more suited to find a job or to provide jobs for others?"

Tang Jianguo looked at the documents, then at Lu Yibei.

The question didn't require any thought.

He immediately picked up his phone.

"Don't worry, Young Master Lu, I'll make the arrangements. With all the channels Huashang has, contacting the principal isn't difficult."
