“I’ll change that.”
Silver-blue mana in the form of lightning spread out from Elizabeth.
Her mana was like a magnet, pulling clouds from all around the sky.
Rumble rumble.
The sky rumbled, dense clouds gathering and darkening the sky as if night had arrived early.
Hardly phased, ever-present was Ken’s confident smirk as he murmured,
“I doubt that.”
It seemed that even through the noise, Elizabeth somehow heard Ken’s murmur as her icy glare intensified.
She imperiously pointed her index finger downwards towards Ken.
Instantly, hundreds of bolts of thunder came crashing towards him.
Gray-colored Flux mana spread from Ken.
Just as the bolts of lightning were about to reach his place, a tunnel formed beneath him.
Ken fell in and the tunnel closed.
Then hundreds of lightning bolts hit the place.
BOOOOM.
Boom boom.
Smoke rose in the aftermath, but the wind was blowing quite fast.
The smoke cleared, and it seemed the only thing the lightning bolts did was make a giant hole in the ground.
Ken was nowhere to be found.
50 meters underground, in a cave formed from adamantine, Ken was lying on a soft bed, a rune lighting up the cave.
Left foot over right foot, a thoughtful expression was on his face.
“Should I bring Joshua here?
This would be a great experience for him.”
Boom boom.
The cave was shaking, probably Elizabeth’s doing.
“Nah, if I do that she’ll be really, really pissed.
It would already be hard for the kid as it is.
I shouldn’t make it too tough for him…
buuut it would be nice hater training though.”
He would have experience dealing with haters.
“Maaaan, what a dilemma.
Wait a minute.”
Suddenly, as if lightning flashed, Ken had an idea.
“I can just record it and show it to him later.
Huh, I’m really a genius.
But wait, I shouldn’t use any runes.
He wouldn’t understand that right now anyways.
I should use just basic moves so he’ll understand more easily.
Hmm, I’m really a good teacher, aren’t I?
Hehehehe.”
Suddenly the cave shook.
“Huh?
Above ground, Elizabeth had landed right where Ken disappeared.
She put her hands on the ground, sending pulses of lightning as if searching for him.
She frowned.
It wasn’t him, but she found something else.
Something big.
She glared at the ground.
Closing her eyes, she concentrated.
A strange electromagnetic force started with her as the center.
Ken felt the cave shaking intensify.
“Damn, is she really…”
A look of surprise flashed across his face, marked by a little intrigue.
“Damn, I didn’t think she could do this.”
He felt the cave rising up as if an invisible hand was pulling it out.
Above ground, Elizabeth gritted her teeth yet still kept pulling.
The surface of the earth broke apart as something massive was dragged out.
Moments later she finally saw what it was.
Something shaped like an igloo, but instead of ice it was made of adamantine.
The door opened, if you could call it that, as Ken poked his head out looking astonished.
Elizabeth was panting, but had a victorious grin on her face as if saying, “See?
You couldn’t hide from me, could you?”
“You really don’t want me to take a short nap, I see.”
“Oh well, let’s play then.
But before that…”
Ken took out 3 ball-like objects.
“Please don’t hit these.
They’ll record the spar.”
Her answer came in the form of a lightning bolt straight to his face, this time connecting and sending him flying.
Airborne, Ken thought,
“Damn, that was uncalled for.
Hmm, I wonder what Joshua is doing.”
I wonder what Ken is doing, thought Joshua as he walked towards the main door of the house.
He didn’t know what to do.
Staying in the house was boring.
He didn’t know if Ken would mind him snooping around his house.
Probably wouldn’t, but still.
So Joshua decided to go out.
Even Lily was outside.
As he opened the door, an empty grassland greeted him.
Looking around, no one was in sight. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
He started walking to the other side of the house.
As he turned a corner, a surprise was waiting for him.
A garden.
It was a garden with flowers and small trees Joshua felt looked familiar, but he didn’t know their names.
Lily was watering them.
“I can’t be seen from the front, huh.”
Thought Joshua.
Lily noticed his arrival.
Lifting her head, she asked,
“Do you need anything, Joshua-san?”
“Aaa…
n-no.
I was just wondering about…”
She stared at him for a bit, then got back to her work.
Joshua exhaled, not knowing why he was feeling so nervous.
He walked a little, then sat down on the grass looking at the flowers.
It wasn’t like he couldn’t talk to girls, but he generally avoided it.
It felt awkward.
And the most beautiful girl he had ever talked to or interacted with was a bit above average, he would say.
So talking to Lily, who could beat even the best models from Earth in looks, it was natural he was a little nervous, right?
He kept staring absentmindedly at the flowers when Lily came closer to them and bent down to water them.
Joshua absentmindedly kept staring.
Suddenly he noticed what—or more specifically where—he was looking.
He hurriedly averted his gaze.
Damn it, Joshua, what are you doing?
She’s a thing Ken made.
Another glance.
Damn it.
Joshua slapped both his cheeks hard, using pain to steady his mind.
Suddenly he recalled what Ken had said before.
{“Also, don’t try anything weird with Lilly, ok?
That would be gross.”
His expression was serious.
“Huh?
What do you mean?” Joshua, looking dumbfounded, asked.
“Oh, you know what I’m talking about.
You’re 16.
I know what a 16-year-old thinks, so don’t try anything.”}
Man, what am I thinking about?
He lay down looking up at the sky.
The clouds in it were pretty similar to Earth’s, thought Joshua.
Someone else was also looking up at the clouds, but he didn’t have the same thoughts as Joshua as he hurriedly did some backflips to dodge the wrath of a heavenly goddess of thunder.
