Elizabeth was walking down the girls’ dormitory, her steps hurried.
Studying too late last night had caused her to wake up late for class.
She saw the stairs in front of her, but just then she paused.
The feeling.
Turning around, she put her hand over her heart.
She could feel the attraction.
But why would he be here?
She followed the feeling, arriving in front of a room.
She was vaguely aware of the girls whose room this was but had never really spoken with them.
That wasn’t surprising, as she didn’t really speak with many people, but the girls in this room had especially left an impression on her, and it wasn’t a good one.
But why would he be here, or am I mistaken?
Should I knock?
Unable to come to a decision, she just stood there.
“Eili!?”
Suddenly she heard someone shout.
She jolted, turning around to find a girl she knew, one of her few friends, looking at her with astonished eyes.
“Are you really going to bunk Elemental Synergy?”
As if doused by cold water, Elizabeth shook her head.
She took two steps and paused, turning around to see the door.
“Hey, hurry.”
“Coming.”
She hurriedly walked off, but her mind stayed there, her thoughts right there.
As these memories flashed through Elizabeth’s mind like thunder, she wasn’t stupid.
She knew what was happening, what Ken was doing.
There had always been signs right in front of her.
He didn’t even care to hide it, but she had just been unwilling to face reality.
Crackle.
Crackle.
She sent hundreds of bolts toward him.
He barely dodged them.
It seemed like she had the upper hand, yet that would be just wishful thinking because he was strong, probably the strongest humanity had to offer.
Even back then, when he was part of the hero party defeating Demon Kings one by one until they even faced the Demon Lord, said to be one of, if not the strongest being at that time, and defeated him.
After so many years, she had no doubt this man had only gotten stronger.
She knew he wasn’t taking this seriously, but she couldn’t fault him for that.
After all, she was just that weak.
She clenched her teeth. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.
No.
She had to see just how far she was from true power.
With a shout, the clouds around her gathered even closer, colliding with each other and creating countless thunderbolts, thunderbolts she controlled with her unique mana and hurled at him.
Ken ran as he smiled.
This was fun.
He kept dodging the lightning bolts.
It was like a game of tag with lightning.
He suddenly stopped.
His gray Flux mana spread around.
Instantly, the fallen trees, rocks, and ground transmuted into adamantine, covering him in a protective dome.
Ken unhurriedly put down a ball-like object that glowed with runes.
It connected with the ground.
For some time now, Ken had been running in a big circle, carving runes in his path and encircling a sizable area of land.
Now everything happening in this dome was being recorded from all sides.
It was done.
Now it was time for some action.
