Then he brought his Long Sword crashing down onto Blood Orange Bishaten’s head.

The Long Sword cut into its skull and became firmly lodged in the bone.
Blood Orange Bishaten was ultimately one level above Zhang Tian.
Otherwise, that strike would have split its skull wide open.

Realizing his blade was stuck, Zhang Tian planted both feet firmly, yanked the Long Sword free, and retreated.
“AROOO!”
Blood Orange Bishaten struggled to its feet before swinging its right claw toward Zhang Tian.
“Serene Pose!”
Zhang Tian raised his Long Sword.
A translucent web-like barrier appeared in front of him.
At this point, all four of Zhang Tian’s Wirebugs were on cooldown.
Both Sakura Slash and Soaring Kick were Wirebug techniques that consumed one Wirebug each.
Serene Pose required two Wirebugs.
In the game, Hunters could normally have two Wirebugs with them.
To obtain a third, players had to find an additional Wirebug somewhere on the map.
As for a fourth Wirebug, that required special skills related to Wirebug management.
Reality, however, was different from the game.
There were no Wirebugs lying around in the wilderness for Hunters to pick up.
However, Hunters could carry additional Wirebugs with them.
Because of the special equipment used to carry Wirebugs, four was the maximum number Zhang Tian could carry, just like the game’s maximum limit.
BOOM!
Blood Orange Bishaten’s right claw collided with the translucent barrier in front of Zhang Tian.
Blood Orange Bishaten was instantly knocked backward.
Its right claw was also injured by the barrier.
At the same time, Zhang Tian was blasted backward more than a dozen steps.

Tobi-Kadachi’s performance in this battle had been outstanding.
It had practically carried the entire fight.
At the very beginning, it had blinded one of Blood Orange Bishaten’s eyes.
Then it had used the monster’s own explosive pinecones to inflict devastating damage.
That had essentially determined the outcome of the battle.
