“Fwoosh.”
Vigorwasp released a cloud of green mist and began treating Blood Orange Bishaten.
Before long, Blood Orange Bishaten had been completely healed.
Even its damaged eyes had recovered.
“Having a healing Pokémon really is convenient.”
Zhang Tian couldn’t help sighing in admiration.
Afterward, Zhang Tian recalled Arzuros, who had once again arrived too late to contribute anything to the battle.
He then ordered Great Izuchi to divide Tetranadon’s corpse into three portions.
Great Izuchi, Blood Orange Bishaten, and Tobi-Kadachi each carried one portion in their jaws.
“Let’s go home.”
Zhang Tian climbed onto Great Izuchi and waved his hand, leading the three monsters back toward Kamura Village.
“Hinoa, I’m back.”
Zhang Tian arrived at the Guild office and placed Tetranadon’s enormous head beside his feet.
“You’re back pretty quickly. I thought you wouldn’t return until this afternoon.”
Hinoa glanced at the Tetranadon head at Zhang Tian’s feet before smiling.
“I got lucky. I found the Tetranadon almost as soon as I reached the area, so naturally I came back quickly.”
Zhang Tian smiled slightly.
He then reached into his bag and pulled out a game console along with a solar charger designed for it.
He placed both on the table.
“A game console!”
Hinoa’s eyes immediately lit up when she saw it.
To the people of the Monster Hunter world, a game console was practically advanced technology.
And because they had never experienced anything like it before, it was incredibly addictive.
“Zhang Tian, here’s your quest reward. 5,040 Zenny in total.”
Hinoa quickly finished processing the quest before placing a bag of coins on the table.
Over the past few days, Zhang Tian had learned more about the currency system in Kamura Village.
One Zenny was represented by a silver coin.
Ten silver coins, or 10 Zenny, could be exchanged for one gold coin.
“Finally, I’ve got some money.”
Zhang Tian happily put the gold coins into his bag.
With this money, he could finally purchase some useful Pokémon-related items and advanced technology.
For example, there was the Portable Storage Bag sold by Pokémon Centers.
That was something Zhang Tian had wanted for a long time.
Meanwhile, Hinoa happily picked up the game console and put it away.
After securing it, she looked at Zhang Tian with slightly flushed cheeks before speaking softly.
“Once I’m finished with work, I’ll take you out for dinner.”
“All right.”
“I’ll head home first. When you’re done with work, just come to my place.”
Zhang Tian nodded.
He then stood up, picked up Tetranadon’s enormous head, and left.
After returning home, Zhang Tian removed his heavy equipment and released his Pokémon so they could eat.
As for himself, he deliberately saved his appetite.
He was going to have dinner with Hinoa.
“Once I finish my exams, I’ll go to a gold shop and sell the gold coins.”
“Once Pidgeotto evolves into Pidgeot, selling a few gold coins shouldn’t cause any problems.”
“An Elite-Class Trainer selling some gold coins isn’t particularly suspicious. After all, Elite-Class Trainers already have considerable social status and strength.”
Zhang Tian rubbed his chin as he thought about his plans for the future.
“I’ll also train it in inverted combat—using its tail as a leg while fighting upside down.”
“That shouldn’t be too difficult. Blood Orange Bishaten already likes fighting while supporting itself upside down, and it’s accustomed to using its tail like a leg.”
After thinking for a while, Zhang Tian established a training plan for Blood Orange Bishaten.
“ROAR.”
After finishing its meal, Arzuros slowly walked over to Zhang Tian.
“What is it, Arzuros?”
Zhang Tian looked at it in confusion.
“Roar… roar…”
Arzuros let out a low growl.
There was a distinct sense of grievance in its voice.
“You want to fight?”
Zhang Tian hadn’t been together with Arzuros for very long, so he couldn’t fully understand its cries.
He could only make a tentative guess.
“ROAR!”
Arzuros nodded vigorously.
“All right. I’ll definitely make sure you get to fight next time.”
Seeing how aggrieved Arzuros looked—even seeming to be throwing a tantrum—Zhang Tian could only respond helplessly.
Your legs are too short to keep up.
You can’t blame me for that, buddy!
Zhang Tian silently complained.
“Roar!”
Arzuros happily nodded.
Only then did it turn around and slowly walk away on its “short legs.”
“Zhang Tian, are you home?”
Hinoa’s voice came from outside.
Hearing her voice, Zhang Tian put down the Long Sword he was holding, wiped the sweat from his face, and shouted,
“Hinoa, wait for me a moment! I’m going to change clothes.”
Zhang Tian had been training for a long time and was covered in sweat.
There was no way he wanted to go out to dinner with Hinoa smelling terrible.
“All right.”
Hinoa’s voice came from outside.
Zhang Tian returned to his room and closed the door.
Then he activated his ability and traveled back to his original world.
He quickly took a shower and changed into a presentable outfit before returning to the Monster Hunter world.
Zhang Tian was now dressed in a relaxed, casual outfit.
It gave him an easygoing yet somewhat mysterious air.
To be honest, Zhang Tian had a fairly good appearance.
After becoming a Hunter, his physique had improved considerably as well.
He walked out of the courtyard and approached the gate.
The moment Hinoa saw him, her eyes lit up.
“Zhang Tian, are those clothes from your hometown?”
Hinoa looked him over before asking with a smile.
“That’s right. Do they look good?”
Zhang Tian gave her a bright smile.
“They look very good.”
Hinoa nodded before smiling.
“Right now, you don’t look like a Hunter at all.”
“You look more like one of those scholars from the Guild.” New chapters come out on novelping.com first.
“Have you read many books?”
As she asked this, Hinoa looked at Zhang Tian curiously.
“I’ve read a lot of books. A great many.”
“Back in my hometown, I started studying when I was three years old and continued all the way until now.”
Zhang Tian nodded slightly.
“That’s amazing!”
Hinoa’s eyes lit up.
“Can you tell me some stories?”
She looked at Zhang Tian expectantly.
“Of course.”
Zhang Tian nodded.
“Let me think about what story I should tell you.”
He rubbed his chin and thought for a moment.
“How about a story about the sun?”
“It’s called Hou Yi Shoots the Suns.”
Zhang Tian slowly began telling her the ancient Chinese myth.
Zhang Tian became more and more animated as he told the story.
Hinoa listened with great interest.
The two chatted and laughed together as they walked.
“Ah, youth really is wonderful.”
Fugen stroked his chin as he watched Zhang Tian and Hinoa.
“Old man, aren’t you worried she’ll get swept away by him?”
An elderly white-haired man standing beside Fugen spoke.
He was Hamon, the village’s master blacksmith.
His strength was no weaker than Fugen’s.
Fifty years ago, it was Hamon who had driven back Magnamalo.
“Let her go if she wants to.”
“We old folks shouldn’t interfere too much in the affairs of young people.”
“Besides, I have high hopes for this young man.”
“He may be able to help us deal with that Magnamalo.”
Fugen smiled as he spoke.
“I hope so.”
“Hinoa has finally grown up.”
“But we old fellows have grown old.”
Hamon sighed softly.
“All right, old friend.”
“Come have a couple of drinks with me.”
Fugen grabbed Hamon and walked away with him.
“We’re here, Zhang Tian.”
Hinoa brought Zhang Tian to the Dango Shop in the village.
“The Dango made by Yomogi are the best!”
“Let’s go inside.”
Hinoa hurried inside, clearly a huge fan of the shop’s Rabbit Dango.
“Sister Hinoa, who’s she?”
A young girl of around twelve or thirteen wearing green clothes looked at Zhang Tian curiously.
Her eyes practically burned with curiosity and gossip.
