Crimsonlotus Alchemy 6: Chapter 6 Secret NPCs Detected: Bloodthirst vs.
Crimsonlotus Alchemy To Cassian, the Forbidden Prison hidden within his body was no less than a treasure trove.
If he had the guts to dig deeper, one day he’d carve out a name for himself as a true power in this world.
Everyone’s got desires-Cassian wasn’t any different.
How could he be content with staying trapped in the small world of the Faraday Clan?
As dusk settled over Lunaris, the city bathed in a fading golden hue.
The Faraday Manor stood brightly lit.
The news of Bryce’s death had already spread, but not a soul seemed to mourn it.
Most folks felt he brought it on himself-died the way he lived.
Cassian had just returned to his courtyard when he noticed a bamboo food box left on the stone table.
Getting closer, he found a slip of paper stuck on top:
[Had something to handle, couldn’t come in person.
Don’t worry about the food.]
The meal had been sent by Noah, the youngest of the three Faraday prodigies, and Cassian’s closest friend since childhood.
As the son of Clan Master Charles, Noah had always been like a brother to him.
It wasn’t hard to guess-Noah must’ve figured out that Bryce had plotted against Cassian.
He probably also knew that Cassian was now without servants, nobody around to cook for him.
So, he went out of his way to help.
Reading the familiar handwriting on the note, a warmth rose in Cassian’s chest.
He didn’t expect that coming to this strange world, he’d still have someone willing to have his back like this.
After eating, Cassian headed straight into his chambers and used his mind to step into his soulsea.
The Forbidden Prison lit up, blazing gold, like an imposing palace hanging in the stars.
The sheer sight of it was jaw-dropping-just the main gate alone stretched thousands of feet high.
Whoever built this monster wasn’t ordinary, that was obvious.
“Whoa, hell!”
The moment he stepped inside, Cassian couldn’t help blurting out.
In Cage One, the Bloodthirst Emperor had begun to regrow flesh over his bones.
He looked like a dried-up mummy that had just started to thaw.
“Boss, check it out-isn’t this face easier on the eyes now?”
He even struck a pose, green flames dancing eerily inside his hollow sockets.
Cassian almost threw up his dinner.
“Shit…”
“You’ve jumped up two whole cultivation tiers in just one day.” The Bloodthirst Emperor leaned close to the golden bars.
“Let me guess-you’ve been using my Grand Spirit Devour Art, haven’t you?”
“Yeah,” Cassian admitted.
“But to be honest, that technique of yours feels…
downright toxic.”
Feeding on others’ spiritforce to build up your own-felt great for now, sure, but it wasn’t sustainable.
The Bloodthirst Emperor gave a twisted grin.
“Kid, you think that’s bad?
I’ll tell you straight-you’ve only just taken your first step into the dark.
It gets better.
Or worse.
Depends on how you look at it.
Hahaha…”
That switch-calling him “boss” just now, and suddenly flipping to “kid”-along with that creepy tone…
something had shifted.
Cassian’s eyes narrowed.
“What the hell do you mean by that?”
“You think making a deal with a blood fiend ends well for anyone?”
Before the Bloodthirst Emperor could reply, a gravelly voice echoed from Cell Three.
Cassian turned his head.
Inside that cage squatted a withered old man, skin clinging to bone like a corpse come alive.
Half his face was a bare skull, the other part shriveled flesh.
Looked more monster than man.
No clean-looking prisoner in this whole damned place.
“And you are?” Cassian asked coldly.
“Crimsonlotus Alchemy Emperor,” the old man said simply.
Then, voice turning grim, continued, “Kid, this Forbidden Prison…
it’s far nastier than you think.
You want to run this place?
You’re miles away.
Better start learning.
Fast.”
Despite his ghastly face, there was something old and heavy in his words-like a warning layered in shadow.
“I’ve got no idea what you’re on about,” Cassian snapped.
“What the hell are you still yapping for?” roared the Bloodthirst Emperor from Cell One, cutting in without warning.
“Stop chatting and get me blood.
Or you die.
Simple.”
The sudden mood shift caught Cassian off guard.
He frowned.
“Are you insane or just stupid?”
The Bloodthirst Emperor burst out laughing.
“Bet you liked being called ‘boss’ by me, huh?
Felt good, didn’t it?
Wake up, brat!
You think learning the Grand Spirit Devour Art was free?”
The voice grew cold.
“Here’s the truth.
Learn that, and now you’ve got to master the Grand Blood Devour Art.
And the Grand Soul Devour Art.
Or I guarantee-you won’t make it a year.”
Cassian’s face darkened.
“You used me?”
“Wrong again,” the Bloodthirst Emperor said with a twisted chuckle.
“I gave you a chance.
You got my techniques, didn’t you?
This is mutual benefit, kid.
But I’m worried you won’t keep your end of the bargain.
Bring me blood every month, and I swear-you’ll live forever.”
To hell with him!
And his damn promises!
Cassian’s eyes burned.
“If I die, this Forbidden Prison dies too.
Still wanna threaten me?
Try me.
We’ll burn together!”
“Tch.
Don’t kid yourself.” The Bloodthirst Emperor sneered.
“You’re just a host.
If you keel over, this place will pick another one.
Won’t even blink.
The last guy?
Just another key.
You ain’t special, boy.”
Cassian glanced at his golden finger-the manifestation once told him he was in charge now.
And suddenly in his mind, he cursed.
“You lying old bastard…
rotten to the core…”
“If you’d picked me from the start, you’d have stood a chance,” Crimsonlotus Alchemy Emperor said from his cage, voice low.
“But no, you went and made a pact with a demon.
Who’s to blame now?”
