“Are you sure it was alright for you to do that?” Jenny finally asked after the silence dragged on for a few seconds long.

“Growl!” Growlithe who had been standing silently watching for any sudden movement from the criminals, now sat, speaking up to I assume agree with Jenny.

“That’s right…um…we never really got your name.” Nurse Joy agreed, before bringing a finger up to touch her chin.Full novel: My Rise To Power In The Pokemon World Where The Gender Roles Are Reversed — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Looking at the women, all I could do was shrug my shoulders.

“My name’s Koal, and yes, I do think I made the right decision.” Letting out a sigh, I rubbed the back of my head. “It really was because she didn’t want to initially do anything, plus she’s the same age as me. Why go out of my way to ruin her life when it was the other two people who made her force herself on me in the first place?”

“How old are you?” Nurse Joy asked, tilting her head.

“Eighteen.” I answered simply.

Looking at each other, the two women grew even more confused.

“Just barely an adult.” Jenny said sadly, turning to me. “I’m sorry that this happened to you and even if I don’t fully agree with your choice, I do think you're very mature to take everything that happened back there into consideration.”

Shrugging my shoulders again as if it was no big deal, I saw Nurse Joy grab something from Chansey when the Pink Pokemon walked in, only for it to leave after. It was a silver spray bottle and had the words “Human” on it. Walking over to stand closer in front of me, she held the item up.

“This is the medicine I was talking about earlier. While I would usually just spray it onto your wound, I think it’s better to take precautions and make sure you have no allergies. You said your name was Koal? What about your last name?” Nurse Joy asked.

“Shudders.”

Nodding her head she put her arm down and began to walk towards the door.

“Okay Koal Shudders, I’ll make sure to look up your name in the database and see if I can find if you have any allergies. While I’m at it, I’ll see if I can look up any of your family members and let them know that you’re here, or do you perhaps already have a family member's number memorized?” Gripping the doorframe with her hand, Nurse Joy looked at me with expectation.

Shaking my head, I told them the bad news.

“No.” Putting on a sad voice and trying to look depressed, I used the story I came up with. “Like I said earlier, when I woke up in that forest I had no idea how I got there and some of my common knowledge was missing. Sucks for me that includes memories of any people who might've known me.”

“Hey don’t worry, the Joys have records of everyone in Kanto! If you or anyone in your family has ever gone to a Joy for a check up or injury, hell, even for your birth, she’ll be able to find them!” Forcing her voice to sound cheerful, Jenny placed a comforting hand on my shoulder.

“Thanks.” I said with a sad smile. “Too bad you most likely won’t find anything.” I thought in my head with a snort. “Coming from a different universe tends to have that effect.”

With that little moment passing, me and Jenny waited for Nurse Joy to come back after she left. Releasing her hand from my shoulder, I couldn’t help but notice that Jenny had moved a little closer to me during the recounting of my story to the officers. I wasn’t going to complain. Jenny was downright sexy and at the first chance I got, I would be seeing just how easy it is for a guy to get laid when I’m in a world where women are horny and heavily desired sex. Of course I’d have to get out of this little situation first, after that, I’m going to figure out just how I could make the most of my time here.

“Eat your heart out Trev!” I desperately held back a smug grin. “While you’re little pussy ass is crying over my death, I’m going to be here living out your fantasy!” Wincing a little, I remembered the forest. “Well, real life is a little different from what I thought it was going to be like, but I won’t let that stop me! There’s no such thing as perfect after all, well, besides Jenny. I would add Nurse Joy into that as well but this one looks a little on the much older side if those wrinkles on her face were anything to go by. Nothing wrong with that, but what can I say, I like em my age or some years older. Plus I’m sure the guys in this world want to take all the much older women anyway. If they’re anything like the girls from my world, who usually go after older men and don’t really care for the younger inexperienced guys, then I’m about to have my pickings at all the unwanted girls I want!”

Hiding my lecherous laugh with a cough, which caused Jenny to look at me worriedly, Nurse Joy finally came back, however there was a slight frown on her face.

“I’m sorry to say this Koal, but it looks like there are no records of a person with the name Koal Shudders in the database.” Speaking softly, she took a speedy glance at Jenny. “That could only mean a few things, and none of them mean anything good.”

Quickly thinking, I summarized how that could come off.

They would think that I had gone my entire life without needing to ever go to a Nurse Joy, which would mean I can’t find my family that I’m pretending not to remember.

They would think that someone scrubbed all the information about me, which could only lead to bad conclusions.

Now if it was the first option they were leaning towards, that would be the most favorable towards me. It isn’t unlikely that someone in this world has never gone to a Nurse Joy. I know plenty of people in my old world who’ve not once gone to a doctor, and even if it was fewer, some people who’ve had home births. While it may be concerning that my surname isn’t connected to anyone else, that could be because my parents had the same thing happen to them with never going to a Nurse Joy. It isn’t impossible, and I don’t think the Pokemon world has a thing set in place about having birth certificates or social security numbers. I think Pokemon trainer numbers are the only thing close to that, so I should be safe.

The second option is one that may lead me to trouble.

If they think someone had scrubbed the information about me and anyone that could connect to me, I could have some people in very high places putting their eyes on me. Having my information scrubbed would mean that either I’m someone important who needs to be protected, or a person that has done some very bad things and needed to disappear. I’m sure that option would also open the doors to wondering if this was even my real name in the first place or some type of alias. Can’t have that theory exist at all.

“Let’s make sure, I get them to think it’s the first option.” I thought in seriousness.

“I see.” Getting their full attention on me with the way my tone sounded, I tried to look disheartened. “What if you put my name and picture in the database Nurse Joy?” Perking up like I just got an incredible idea, I forced my voice to be filled with hope. “If you do that, maybe someone will recognize me!” Turning to look at Jenny, I continued. “And Jenny, you could do the same thing once you become a full fledged officer, right!? Maybe someone I can’t remember is out there looking for me!”

Watching the two faces that had become somewhat guarded at the news of me lacking any records or connections, they almost instantly lost any doubt at hearing my solution. Smiling a bright smile, Nurse Joy nodded her head enthusiastically while Jenny just straight beamed.

“That could work!” Nurse Joy exclaimed. “There are a lot of people who just don’t like seeking medical attention! Maybe your family is more traditional in the way they seek health care!”

“That’s right!” Jenny brought her hand back up to squeeze my shoulder while sliding closer. “I know a few people like that! They’re all like “why go to a Nurse Joy when I can take care of myself”! When I get to Celadon City I could put out some missing poster pictures and hopefully we can find any people who miss you! That’s a great idea Koal! I know that if most guys were in the position you were in right now they would be non stop freaking out or have given up, hell, maybe even some gals, but in the little time I’ve known you I can see that you’re one strong boy!”

“Thanks.” I said, while giving the both of them a grateful nod.

“Alright!” Nurse Joy clapped her hands. “Let me go grab a camera and take a picture! After that, I can draw some blood to make sure you’re not allergic to anything and put it all in the database to add your profile! I would say that we could also use that to find any relatives, but with how your surname isn’t coming up at all, that’ll most likely go nowhere, still I’ll give it a shot!”

Watching her hurry away, I took a side glance at Jenny only to notice she was staring at the floor in thought. After around a minute, her face gained a ‘aha!’ look and she turned to me in excitement. Curious about what she could have thought of to look like that, I waited for her to speak her mind.

“Can’t be nothing to worry about.” I looked towards Growlithe who was just standing there watching us with her tongue out, wagging her tail happily, before putting my attention back on Jenny. “I successfully avoided any suspicious theories, now all I have to do is figure out my next move.”

“Koal, I just remembered something!” Excited, she grabbed my other shoulder and turned me to face her. “In Celadon City there’s a new institute that opened up aimed for helping people who lost their way in life or have no one to rely on! If you go there, they can help you get on your feet in a safe way, while also teaching you about anything you could have forgotten, plus, if you’re ever sad about not knowing anyone I’m going to be there in a month! That’s when I’ll be finished my training and officially named an Officer Jenny!”

Widening my eyes, I instantly thought this was a great opportunity. If I go to this help center and explain my situation, there’s no doubt in my mind I’ll get the support I need to start my journey in this world. Being a guy, they’ll probably even treat me even better than most! This is perfect!

“An institute in Celadon City?” Acting like I was mulling it over, I soon gave a hesitant smile even though my mind was already set. “If you think it’s a good idea, why not!”

“Mhm!” Nodding her head, she quickly realized just how she was grabbing me and let go with a blush. “Don’t worry Koal! I’ll make sure to have Nurse Joy call them and let them know to expect you!”

Just then Nurse Joy walked back into the room holding a camera and a needle.

“Alright, let’s get this over with so we can treat your wound!” Happily smiling, Nurse Joy held up the items as she spoke.

“Looks like I found the first step to living a lavish life.” I thought as I stood up. “Now all I have to do is make sure I don’t cry over having a needle poke me.”

At the time…I didn’t know just how wrong that last thought turned out to be…
