‘Here we go.
My acting skills will win me an award for sure,’ the woman thought as she prepared herself.
Then, the woman’s eyes widened as she stepped back.
Her facial expression showed fear, and her feet staggered backward.
“You… you said I can trust you,” She trembled while looking around, but all she could see was darkness.
“Yes, yes, I did, but that doesn’t mean it won’t come without a price,” Devin said in a sing-a-long voice as he stepped closer towards the woman.
The woman quickly grabbed the pouch full of coins and handed it to him.
“Here, just leave me alone,” she stated, extending her arm.
She tried giving the pouch to Devin to see if he would take it.
However, Devin walked past the woman’s arm and grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to his body.
“I don’t need that,” he whispered and licked the woman’s neck.
The woman wanted to pull Devin’s tongue and cut it, but stopped herself.
Instead, she pushed Devin backwards.
“You’re mated!” She screamed, pointing at the mate mark on his neck.
Devin touched the mark and rolled his eyes.
“Yes, I am, but does that really matter?
I know you’re attracted to me.
I can sense it, and you should be happy that I’m willing to give myself to you.
After all, I am handsome as heck!” Devin said shamelessly.
“What?
Are you crazy!?
I just want to sleep for the night in peace!” The woman shouted.
She put a safe distance between them while keeping an eye on Devin.
“And I’m giving you one.
Isn’t that enough?
A free safe and cozy place… and a man of your desires,” Devin pointed at himself with a bright smile.
“If you’re worried about my mate finding out about us.
Don’t worry, I have a solution for that.”
Devin patted his pants to look for something.
“Your mate will smell another she-wolf on you,” the woman stated as a threat, but Devin shook his head in disagreement.
“Look here.”
Devin showed a small bottle that looked like perfume.
“I bought it from a passing merchant.
It can remove any stench from the user’s body.
So no one will know you and I…” he walked closer and grabbed the woman’s wrist when she tried to run.
“…do something hot together.”
“NO!
STOP!
YOU’RE NOT MY MATE!
HELP!!!” the woman shouted, but Devin only chuckled and pulled her closer.
“As I’ve said, no one can hear you here, so if you stop struggling and give me what I want.
You’ll be free, hmm… or you can just accept my offer without a fight so both of us can sleep through the night in peace with pleasure,” Devin whispered.
He took a knife behind him and placed it on the woman’s waist, threatening her.
“A-Are you going to hurt me?” The woman asked in ragged breath.
Her teary eyes stared down at the sharp knife.
“I won’t if you’ll just be a good girl,” Devin replied.
He pushed the knife closer to the woman’s clothes, ripping the fabric.
His breath reeked of alcohol was hot on her neck.
“I-I accept….
But… can I ask you something?” The woman’s voice suddenly calmed down, and she didn’t resist anymore.
The sudden change of attitude made Devin confused for a bit, but he brushed it off.
“Are you doing this often?
Even knowing you have found your destined mate?” The woman asked, looking back at him.
Her voice was so calm and composed that it gave Devin the chills.
Devin frowned, but answered.
“I’m so lucky to be given a mate by the Moon Goddess even when she knew I couldn’t stay and taste a single hole for the rest of my life.
That will be boring, and I prefer to insert my magic wand into multiple tight spaces,” he replied,
Then he licked the woman’s ears, which tasted salty and sweet at the same time.
“I see… so you confessed to cheating to your mate?” The woman asked again.
This time, her voice sounded more cheerful but menacing.
She even ignored Devin’s saliva on her earlobe.
“It’s not cheating if she won’t find out,” Devin whispered in the woman’s ear and blew air as a form of seduction, but the woman wasn’t fazed.
“Okay, I got the answer,” the woman stated with a deep sigh of disappointment.
She still tried to doubt Devin’s intentions, but the result was unchanging.
Devin frowned upon seeing the woman’s reaction.
He was used to females fawning over his looks and wanted a piece of him, or they would beg for their lives.
But the woman was different.
“Don’t you want me?” Devin asked like a kid asking for candy.
The woman chuckled, grabbed Devin’s arm, and slowly caressed it lovingly.
“You are used to getting everything you want, hmm.
You don’t even appreciate your destined mate and openly cheat… I really, really hate that kind of people.” She whispered so luscious it could give him diabetes.
The corner of Devin’s lips twitched upon hearing what the woman said.
“Come on now.
I’m sure my pretty little mate will still accept me even if she knew.
I know she’s extremely happy knowing I’m her mate.
With my looks, status, and amount of money in my pocket, my mate will spread her own legs for me,” Devin stated confidently, hugging the woman’s waist tighter.
“You look down on your mate too much, Devin,” the woman said flatly.
She disliked how he viewed his own mate like she was nothing, not even a person in his eyes.
“We should stop this nonsense topic and get to the point.
Let’s warm the bed now,” Devin grinned and buried his head into the woman’s neck.
The woman smiled, looked back with her eyes showing pure innocence until it didn’t.
“Sure, let’s get our bodies warm,” she replied.
Then in a split second, she grabbed and bit Devin’s arm, sinking her teeth deeper in his flesh.
“AHHHH!!!!” Devin screamed and pushed the woman away from him, but he couldn’t.
The pain shot up as his flesh tore away from his bones.
“BITCH!!!” He screamed when he was finally let go.
The woman staggered backward.
She faced Devin with bloody lips and his flesh dangling from her mouth.
She chewed it for a few seconds before spitting the flesh on the ground.
“You taste funny.
Like a rotten meat being passed around,” she said sarcastically, tilting her head to the side.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!?” Devin shouted, supporting his bleeding arm.
He used his wolf to heal, but somehow, it wasn’t working.
Panic rose inside Devin, and it showed in his face.
“You should be careful about whom you want to bed with.
Maybe they aren’t what you think they are,” the woman stated, circling Devin like a predator waiting for the prey to run.
“Don’t take me for a weakling.
You’re just a female.
Weak species,” Devin roared, ignoring the blood dripping from his arm as he started to shift, but before it happened.
A heavy kick was felt on his little junior, forcing him to kneel on the ground painfully.
“FUCK!”
“I prefer to hurt you more, but I was only instructed to beat you near death.
I guess that’s enough,” the woman muttered quietly, scratching her chin.
She thought of how to thrash the shit out of Devin.
“WHAT!?” Devin yelled, unable to hear and fully understand what the woman had said.
He was too focused on the pain in his crotch.
The woman knelt before Devin, lifting his chin to face her.
“You failed as a male species,” she whispered before she smacked the shit out of him as hard as she could.
A female strength that was unknown to men.
However, Devin was not someone who would give up easily.
Devin lifted himself and tried to swing his fist, but the woman easily dodged it, kicking him in the stomach.
He flew a few meters away and landed at the tree trunk.
“Ack!” Devin spewed out blood.
His body screamed with pain signals, and while he tried to contact his wolf, it wasn’t responding to him.
He was all alone in a fight.
“You kick like a bitch.” Devin shouted to try and save his pride by acting strong.
In Devin’s vision, the woman was far from him, but when he blinked, she was right in front of him.
“You’re so noisy… like a dog barking for food,” the woman replied with a smirk before striking Devin once more, right in his rib cage.
“Maybe this time, it will teach you how to behave.
You should prepare yourself, little doggy,” she added before attacking nonstop.
And that was the time when Devin took the hardest beating from a woman he had underestimated.
After hours of nonstop torture, Devin was unable to open his eyes from all the hits he took, and the woman was already satisfied with her work of art.
The woman took something from her pocket and placed it on top of Devin’s unconscious body: a small moonflower.
“You didn’t even ask my name, tsk.
I hope you’ll learn your lesson to be a loyal dog to your mate, Devin,” the woman whispered in his ear and laughed coldly as she vanished in thin air.
And leaving Devin’s body on the bloody ground, unconscious for now.
Unfortunately, I am not sorry enough to stop.
