"Tch, whoever transmigrated me here was a bit too desperate." Alex muttered while looking at his reflection in the mirror.

Ashen-white hair with pale blue eyes, and his face—it wouldn’t be false to say it was carved by the goddess of beauty herself.

’Damn, why can’t my looks ever be less godlike?’ Thinking narcissistically, Alex looked around. Currently, he was in the dorm of Aethryndian Academy.Full novel: My SSS Rank Talent: Infinite Adaption & Evolution — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Aethryndian Academy, the starting point of the game Eclipse of Eternity.

A mind-blowing, dark-themed game with a masterpiece storyline, top-tier animation, and an unimaginable, creative fighting mechanism.

Yes, Alex was an Earthling who somehow transmigrated into this game he used to play just hours ago. And not as an extra, but a popular tragic villain, Severin D’Auremont.

"At least let me play the latest version." He muttered with a bit of frustration. Alex wouldn’t say he was obsessed with Eclipse of Eternity. After all, he wasn’t a child and had to earn his own livelihood.

He only played the game for the fighting scenes, and all the story plots were either skipped if he could, or he would watch breakthrough videos to clear them. So, he wasn’t like those webnovel MCs who even knew what underwear the heroine wore before reincarnating or transmigrating.

"I always cursed those MCs for easily taking the fact that they were thrown into hellhole games or novels, but I think I am also taking this fact easily now." Alex, or now called Severin D’Auremont, said as he picked up the Aethryndian Academy uniform and quickly wore it.

Fitted black trousers and a crisp white shirt beneath a long black coat. Thin golden lines ran along the sleeves, catching the light whenever he moved. On the left side of both his shirt and coat was the Academy’s crest, the emblem of the great fortress that stood at the heart of the Academy.

There was nothing overly flashy about the uniform. It was simple—black, white, and gold—but somehow it still carried a sense of importance. Every student wore the same colors, a reminder that they were all part of the same fortress, training to become the ones who would protect it.

"Now I have to deal with this body’s problems." Severin said with a frown.

"Status"

[Name: Severin D’Auremont]

[Race: Human, Curse Spirit (Sealed)

[Class: Swordsman]

[Level: 1]

[Stats]

[Strength: D-]

[Agility: C-]

[Constitution: D+]

[Mana: E+]

[Skill: Iron Will (Passive), Blade Mastery (Passive), Quick Draw (Active)]

[Technique: D’Auremont Basic Sword Art, Golden Saint Sword Art {1st Form}]

[Talent: Infinite Adaptation & Evolution]

[Blessing: Fortune’s Last Favor]

Status, a game-like system that every person possesses in Eclipse of Eternity.

As Severin read the talent and blessing, he was stunned because he knew that Severin D’Auremont never had a talent or blessing before his seals were lifted.

’Is this my talent then, and this blessing....’

[Fortune’s Last Favor: Divine Blessing

A blessing left behind by the Goddess of Luck at the moment of her fall.

Even after her divine existence was extinguished, a fragment of her authority over Fortune remained within this blessing. The bearer is no longer bound entirely by the laws of chance. Coincidences may turn in their favor, impossible opportunities may appear at the right moment, and even the cruelest twist of fate may sometimes become a path to victory.

But luck is never truly free.

The greater the fortune granted, the greater the price fate may demand in return.

"Even in death, the Goddess of Luck has chosen to favor you." ]

’Fuck! So it was this goddess.’ Severin finally understood who had trapped him in his body. It was actually one of the Seven Divines of Beginning.

The Seven Divines of Beginning, according to the Eclipse of Eternity, were entities that were born at the time of creation.

Goddess of Luck — Aevyra

God of Creation — Elarion

Goddess of Magic — Vaelithra

God of Time — Chronael

Goddess of Death — Nyxara

God of Space — Aethron

Goddess of Order — Seraphyne

’No, wait. Why does it seem that this goddess has fallen?’

From what he knew in the game, only the God of Space, Aethron, had fallen while fighting an Outer God. But now, from everything he could see, even the Goddess of Luck was gone.

"No use in thinking about something out of my current comprehension." Severin didn’t even have the power to participate in a fight in his own realm, Tharavell, now. Let alone a threat outside of the universe.

Shaking his head, he turned to look at his talent.

[Talent: Infinite Adaptation & Evolution:

Allows the bearer to continuously adapt and evolve in response to their environment, abilities, and experiences, gradually overcoming limitations and developing new traits or abilities.

The power of evolution is not limited to the bearer’s own body. By spending Evolution Points (EP) gained through killing, the bearer can evolve themselves, their abilities, skills, equipment, and even things outside their own body, allowing almost anything to undergo evolution and reach a higher form.]

"Damn!"

Severin was speechless and couldn’t get the words to describe his feelings. Talent was something that was innate, according to the Eclipse of Eternity lore. In its description, even the Divine Entities, like the Seven Divines of Beginning, couldn’t create or grant talents.

"No wonder that goddess brought me here."

From what he knew, Eclipse of Eternity also had Earth featured in it, but at that time, players only thought of it as an Easter egg. Because it was an isolated planet of the universe, the NPCs couldn’t use mana or awaken.

In Eclipse of Eternity, it was the sole place that could be considered paradise.

Severin also thought the same before checking his status, that they were separate, but now he felt it might be the same Earth he came from.

Sighing, he felt a bit lost. Just now, his only thought was understanding the reason for his sudden transmigration, but now, after seeing his status, he was 99% sure of the reason. It’s just that he didn’t know who else was in this play.

"At least it didn’t seem like they wanted to play mysterious, so that’s a plus. But me, play saviour?" According to the game, the whole universe would soon be engulfed in war. And all of this started from here, Aethryndian Academy, in the realm of Tharavell.

"Hell nah!"

A smirk appeared on Severin’s face.

So what if Tharavell was engulfed in the flames of war? Did this have anything to do with him? Even if the whole universe was on the verge of Ragnarok.

He doesn’t care. In his last life, he was an orphan and had personally felt human malice. And in this new life as Severin D’Auremont, it was even worse. And it was destined to only get worse if he didn’t do anything.

"But I only wish to have fun and fight stronger opponents." Severin said to himself while stretching. He felt his body become noticeably lighter after making his decision.

It was true that if he didn’t do anything, it wasn’t like the flames of war and destruction wouldn’t reach him, but he was more than prepared to have life-and-death fights. He wasn’t some Chinese MC obsessed with immortality and invincibility.

His only obsession was to have fights and keep fighting till he died. Yes, he was an all-out battle maniac.

On Earth, he had joined underground fight clubs and fought until his jaw was dislocated, his ribs were broken, and his consciousness was gone.

But after that, because of those injuries, he couldn’t do those anymore, even if he wanted to. After all, he was a battle maniac, but not suicidal enough to go into an obvious death match if he had a choice.

"Okay, let’s head to class." Humming while thinking of a training plan to put his talent to use, Severin walked out of his dorm.

Yesterday, the opening ceremony had already happened, which was a relief, honestly.

The first-year dorm building was divided into four floors. The lower two were for girls, and the upper two were for boys.

Walking out of his room, he walked along the corridor. Looking sideways, one could see a vast land of greenery and flowers, and a large empty field for students to practice and relax.

He entered the elevator and pressed for the ground floor. His dorm was on the fourth floor.

The ground floor didn’t have student rooms. Its rooms were for staff or to store stuff related to first years.

Walking on the path towards the main school building for first years, he observed the scenery that he had only seen in the game. He also saw many students walking by. Most were first years, since this path was towards the first-year dorm building, but he observed that some looked older than 14 years old, which meant they were at least second years.

Aethryndian Academy’s curriculum was divided into five years. That meant most would graduate when they were around 18 or so. But this was just a simple assumption, as a player he knew that the academy was anything but simple.

To graduate from here, there were, in fact, only two paths. First, reach 3rd Level or defeat an opponent of that level, which was simply not humanly possible. And on top of that, you had to accomplish this all within five years, or you would fail to graduate.

Though the task was absurd, the students who could get into this hell of an academy were anything but normal. They were all geniuses selected from the five great realms of Eclipse of Eternity.

From what he remembered, some of the monsters, excluding the protagonists and their little group, even reached 4th Level by the end of the long academy arc.

Suddenly, Severin’s attention shifted towards the girls’ attire.

Their uniform followed the same black, white, and gold colors as the boys’, though the design was slightly different. A crisp white shirt was worn beneath a long black coat, with thin golden lines running along the sleeves and edges. The Academy’s crest was embroidered on the left side of both the shirt and coat.

Instead of trousers, the uniform came with a black pleated skirt that reached just above the knees. The golden trim along its edges matched the coat, while black stockings and polished black shoes completed the outfit.

It wasn’t overly decorated, but the combination of black, white, and gold gave the uniform a dignified look.

’Can they even fight in a skirt comfortably?’ Severin thought casually.

Soon, he reached his classroom, 1-D.

In this academy, classes were divided by strength. And Severin D’Auremont was ordinary at best here, until his seals were there, that is.

But opening those seals was, in fact, anything but good. Because cursed spirits were evil beings born from negativity. In Eclipse of Eternity, the thing that made Severin D’Auremont special wasn’t that he was the first major villain, but that he was the first and only being that was human yet also a cursed spirit.

According to the fandom of Eclipse of Eternity that he had read, if Severin D’Auremont wasn’t killed in his first year, he could definitely become the strongest creature, one that was almost impossible to kill.

After all, cursed beings were monstrous on their own. Just after being born, they were already at least 2nd Level in terms of strength. And after reaching 4th Level, without divine means, they couldn’t be completely killed anymore. They could only be sealed off.

Of course, giving birth to a 4th Level being wasn’t an easy task. In the game, Severin D’Auremont was attacked because he was almost going to break through to 4th Level.

After all, as a D’Auremont, even if he was exposed as being a half-cursed spirit, at most he should have been sealed or locked away.

’I have to do something about this. It’s good that, leaving aside my ’mother’, no one knows this.....wait, that’s not good, in fact.’ Still, at least Severin didn’t go around telling anyone and kept his race hidden.

And as a D’Auremont, even if only in name, no one dared to use the Appraiser skill on him. Leaving aside the first time he was awakened.

Remembering those memories from Severin, how he couldn’t sleep for a month because of the fear that someone would soon eliminate him. But nothing happened in the end, and he was able to sigh in relief.

But how could he, as a player, not know the truth?

Shaking his head as if to kick these messy thoughts out, he entered the classroom.

’First become strong, then have fun. After all, I can’t enjoy an unfair fight.’
