“No!” Liam Shaw flipped over and grabbed Ethan Hayes’s quilt, hugging it as he said, “Let me lie here for a bit, Ethan, don’t be stingy.
Didn’t I always crash on your bed when I came over before??”
Before was before, today is today.
Ethan stood by his own big bed, and out of the corner of his eye he glanced at the wardrobe in the room—Vivian was still hiding in there.
He took a deep breath, his voice cool as he said to Liam Shaw, “If you don’t get up right now, I don’t mind just hauling you out.”
“Ethan, how can you be so cruel to me.” Liam propped himself up on his elbows and sat up.
After complaining twice, he suddenly threw Ethan a flirty look, pinched his voice and drawled, “Ethan, don’t be like this, you used to swear you loved me till the end of time, and now it’s only been one afternoon we haven’t seen each other and you’re already being so heartless to me, sob sob sob…”
Listening to Liam’s words, Ethan’s handsome, delicate face grew darker and darker.
Vivian, on the other hand, hiding in the wardrobe and listening to Liam, couldn’t hold it in and let out a “pfft” of laughter.
In the spacious room, that single laugh was especially obvious.
Ethan and Liam in the room froze on the spot.
Liam tilted his head and listened carefully for a moment, then looked up at Ethan and asked, “Ethan, did you just hear something??”
“No.” Ethan denied it outright without even thinking.
“That’s not right, I clearly heard someone laugh.” Liam rolled off the bed, walked to the wardrobe, and pressed his ear against it.
“The sound seemed to come from in here.”
“You misheard.” Ethan said, face and heartbeat both steady.
Liam frowned and paced back and forth in front of the wardrobe a few times, then suddenly leaned in close to Ethan and lowered his voice, “Ethan, don’t tell me it’s that brat from your relatives’ place, and he actually didn’t go home at all but secretly hid in your wardrobe, planning to jump out and scare you when you’re not paying attention??”
“Heh.” Ethan let out a cold snort and pushed Liam’s head away.
“No way.
I say you’re hearing things.”
“Impossible, my hearing is so good, I would never hallucinate a sound!” Liam said as he reached out to open the wardrobe door.
“If you don’t believe me, we can just take a look and we’ll know.”
Seeing that he was about to open the wardrobe, Ethan quickly shifted sideways to block it, his voice cold: “Weren’t you dizzy?
Why aren’t you lying down a bit longer?”
Seeing Ethan on the verge of getting mad, Liam hurriedly tugged out a smile.
“Oh come on, Ethan, don’t be like that.
Why are you suddenly so fierce?
I’m only worried about you and care about you.
Besides, if there’s no one in the wardrobe, then there’s no one.
The way you’re so nervous will make people think you’ve got a woman hidden in there!!”

Even through the wardrobe door she could picture him talking with his fingers daintily curled.
“Then let’s see if there really is… a… wom…an… hiding… in… this wardrobe…” Seizing a moment when Ethan wasn’t paying attention, Liam reached out and yanked the wardrobe door open.
And the moment he saw Vivian, the excitement on his face instantly turned into shock.
