Edward Anderson loosened his tie and approached Bella Scott slowly.
His aggressive moves made Bella’s heart race.
She kept retreating until her back hit the wall, leaving her with no way out.
She struggled desperately: “I don’t want to enter your den—”
She looked at the man’s face, so close to her.
His straight nose almost touched hers, and her palms became sweaty.
She stammered, “Y-you, stay away from me…”
Damn it!
Just because he looked good, could he use his handsome face to seduce her at will?
She wasn’t one of those stupid women easily swayed by his good looks.
Edward pulled off his tie and, in the next moment, seized Bella’s hands.
Bella didn’t know what he was going to do, but as long as he didn’t use his pretty boy charm on her, it should be fine.
When she realized something was wrong, Edward quickly tied her hands together with his tie and even fashioned a pretty bow.
Her anger reached its boiling point, and she shouted, “I’m not your prisoner!
If you have a sadistic side, find someone else!
You should know I, Bella Scott, am not someone to be trifled with!”
Edward ignored her, dragging her like a prisoner towards the elevator.
Bella was, of course, unwilling to follow.
Her hands were tied, but her legs were still free.
She aimed and suddenly kicked toward Edward’s lower abdomen.
Hearing the sound of the approaching kick, Edward sidestepped, avoiding Bella’s sudden attack.
Bella continued her offensive, but Edward still easily dodged her attacks.
The two of them fought back and forth, entangled in the elevator.
In the end, the outcome was not as Bella had hoped.
Edward knocked her down, and even tied her legs.
Bella puffed out her cheeks in anger.
She had clearly made a lot of progress in the past two years, so why could she beat up Edward two years ago but couldn’t even touch his clothes now?
As Edward carried Bella, thrown over his shoulder, out of the elevator, they caught the attention of the people who were waiting for the elevator.
Bella felt utterly humiliated.
She thought she was pretty strong, so why did Edward always seem to outdo her?
Edward carried her as if she was a sack of potatoes, walking as gracefully as one would on a runway.
This two-faced bastard!
Edward opened the car door and threw Bella into the back seat.
She was thrown so roughly that she became dizzy.
As she finally struggled to sit up, Edward suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing her head to hit the back of the seat hard.
“You bastard, just how much do you hate me to torture me like this?!” Bella almost suggested a divorce, but held back at the last minute
Edward did not answer her, instead speeding up the car.
Bella immediately became fully alert and quickly sat up straight.
Seeing Edward concentrating on driving, she quickly untied the tie that bound her hands together.
When Edward realized that something was wrong, his eyes darkened: “Bella Scott, if you dare jump out of the car, I’ll kill you!”
By this time, Bella had already opened the car door.
Seeing that there were no cars beside her, she leaped out.
She rolled forward, protecting her head and finally stopping several meters away, just as a taxi happened to come up behind them.
The driver slammed on the brakes, startled by the presence of someone in front of his car.
Suppressing the pain, Bella rushed towards the taxi…
Edward watched Bella speed away in the taxi, but he didn’t chase her.
Instead, he returned to his car, his face cold and stoic.
