Bella Scott saw that Edward Anderson didn’t catch up and let out a sigh of relief.
She got off the car at the intersection, and the driver yelled at her for not paying, “Miss, this is taking a free ride!”
Bella replied to the driver, “Sorry, my ass didn’t even get warm, not enough to pay the fare.”
“If you don’t give me the money, believe it or not, I’ll–”
Before the driver could finish threatening her, Bella grabbed his collar and dragged his head out of the car window, “I’m poor and have no money.
Have you understood that clearly?”
The driver had never seen such a fierce woman.
His face turned pale, “Yes, I have.”
Bella let go of the driver and smiled faintly, “Next time, be more polite to ladies.
Not everyone is as easygoing as me.”
The driver agreed repeatedly, and Bella was satisfied.
She suddenly felt quite capable, except that Edward was not a normal person.
Bella originally planned to stay at Brynn Williams’ apartment for a night, but she was afraid that Edward might be waiting there.
In the end, she decided to find a random place to spend the night.
Finally, she found a clean internet café, played games until midnight, and then dozed off on the table.
She made it through the night safely.
Early the next morning, she arrived at work on time.
As soon as she entered the office, she sensed that something was off.
Especially Sienna Perez, who seemed to have a problem.
“Are you in love?” Bella asked curiously.
Sienna grabbed Bella’s wrist and babbled excitedly, “Bella, he, he’s so handsome…”
“Who, your boyfriend?” Bella asked with a smile.
“If only he were my boyfriend.
Let me tell you, he’s our new boss, and he’s super handsome.
Oh right, he, he, he…” Sienna suddenly remembered Bella’s identity, and then understood why this private Detective Agency had suddenly changed its boss.
“Is the new boss really that handsome?” Bella hadn’t realized the danger was approaching.
As the company suddenly fell silent, familiar masculine scent invaded her nostrils, just like Edward’s smell.
While hesitating, she looked back and saw a man in a perfectly tailored suit standing just a few steps behind her.
She widened her eyes.
Edward’s lips curved into a slight smile, “Miss Scott, come to my office.”
Bella felt like she had been electrocuted when she suddenly realized that Edward was her new boss.
Was this the rhythm he was trying to kill her?
Why did Mr.
Anderson, the hotel tycoon, need to acquire such a small Detective Agency?
He must be aiming at her?
It wasn’t her being narcissistic.
Edward just really liked to annoy her.
If her life was miserable, he would probably be very happy.
“Bella, is Mr.
Anderson your ex-husband?
Is he trying to get back with you, realizing he fell in love with you, and deliberately acting out a romantic drama of a domineering boss chasing after his sweet little wife?” Sienna’s mind began racing as she looked at Bella with admiration.
Bella slapped Sienna on the head, “You’ve read too many novels.
And, he’s my ex-fiancé, not my ex-husband!”
However, Edward would soon become her ex-husband.
“But I think Mr.
Anderson’s gaze towards you is full of love…”
Bella, such a special woman, must be most compatible with Edward, a man like that.
Bella replied Sienna with a ‘Hehe,’ and walked into Edward’s office.
She jumped directly onto his desk with her buttocks facing him, “Dear husband, what do you need from me?”
