“It’s not what you think…” Bella Scott wanted to explain, but realized that everyone was gossiping and paying no attention to her defense.
Seeing the ambiguous glances from everyone, she eventually gave in to her fate.
Why else would Edward Anderson be her nemesis?
Whenever he appeared, she would have bad luck.
Before today, her popularity had been skyrocketing.
In just under half an hour, the situation changed drastically; all her female colleagues, except Sienna Perez, were glaring at her with hatred, especially the malicious gaze from Kiera Cooper.
As Bella was brooding, the bustling office suddenly quieted down.
She knew that Edward Anderson had appeared even without looking.
“I was too rough last night and hurt you.
Here’s some ointment,” Edward Anderson handed her the ointment.
Bella Scott pretended not to hear him and ignored him.
However, Edward Anderson didn’t get the hint, adding, “If you have any unspeakable areas that you can’t apply the ointment to yourself, I can help you.”
Bella thought to herself, could you just shut up?
Where would she have such inconvenient places that needed ointment?
At most, her knee suffered some minor injuries yesterday.
Was it necessary to apply ointment?
It wasn’t until a series of gasps from the crowd that she suddenly sensed something wrong.
When she looked at Sienna, she found her face as red as a pig’s liver.
As for Kiera Cooper, her eyes were sharp enough to kill several people.
After Edward Anderson returned to his office, Sienna immediately ran to Bella cheerfully and tried to lift her clothes.
“What are you trying to do?” Bella slapped Sienna’s unruly hand away.
Sienna winked at Bella with an ambiguous smile, “I’m helping you apply the ointment.
Oh, and I can help you see how badly that unspeakable area is injured.”
How much must Edward Anderson love Bella Scott to invade her body in such a barbaric way?
Her mind immediately captured the image of a domineering CEO overpowering his young wife…
Bella didn’t even bother to explain anymore.
Mr.
Anderson was really despicable, deliberately creating an ambiguous illusion between them in public.
She was clearly kidnapped by him last night and had to jump out of the car in order to struggle for her life.
Now everyone thought she had some unspeakable relationship with Edward Anderson.
This feeling of being unable to argue her case was really unbearable.
After finally getting rid of Sienna, Bella was about to continue tracking the unfaithful man from last night.
However, due to Edward Anderson’s command, her case was taken over by Kiera Cooper.
“Bella, Mr.
Anderson asked you to go with him to the airport to pick up a client,” Sienna delivered Edward Anderson’s message.
“I’m a infidelity investigator, not his personal assistant.
I won’t go!” Bella replied decisively.
Having her case snatched by Kiera Cooper was frustrating enough, she didn’t want to spend all day with Edward Anderson.
With that thought in mind, she got up and decided to leave.
Sienna quickly blocked her way, “Mr.
Anderson just said that if you don’t listen, he’ll fire you.
Mr.
Anderson also said, if you can’t stay in this Detective Agency, no other detective agency in Philadelphia would dare to hire you.”
Bella shoved Sienna aside, rushed to Edward Anderson’s office door, and kicked it open.
Edward Anderson was tying his tie, and seeing her coming, he smiled gracefully, “Bella, come and help me with my tie.”
“Sure, I’d be happy to serve Mr.
Anderson!” Bella Scott faked a smile, approached Edward Anderson, and rudely grabbed his tie.
She didn’t know how to tie a tie, but it didn’t matter – she could just strangle him with it, making the world a better place without him as a nuisance!
