Bella Scott sneered as she looked at Edward Anderson’s neck, about to take action, but he grabbed her wrist: “I’ll teach you how to tie a tie, you need to learn how to support your husband and teach your children in the future…”
Bella tried to escape from his grip, but he was stronger than her.
Somehow, she ended up being taught by him step by step, helping him tie his tie.
Edward walked ahead while Bella trailed behind him, her head down and carrying his briefcase.
As it turns out, Edward was something special and beyond crazy.
He was a gentleman to everyone else, but never treated her like a woman.
He even made her, a woman, do manly tasks like carrying his bag, which always infuriated her.
As she cursed Edward in her heart, he suddenly stopped walking.
She glanced at him, wondering what tricks he was up to now.
“You’re my subordinate, shouldn’t you be the one opening the car door instead of your boss?” Edward reminded Bella when she didn’t move.
“What are your hands for, decoration?” Bella scoffed, refusing to be bossed around by him.
“Originally, I was thinking that if your work performance was good, I could give you a raise and a bonus.
But since you’re not motivated, forget it…”
Before Edward could finish, Bella rushed forward to open the car door for him: “Mr.
Anderson, please get in the car.
I’ll work hard and perform well!”
She could hold grudges against anything, but never dismissed the value of money.
Edward gave her a dismissive glance before getting into the car.
Neither of them spoke on the way to the airport.
The car was silent, so when Bella’s phone rang, it was incredibly jarring.
Seeing that the call was from a stranger, Bella didn’t think much and answered it.
“Bella, it’s Jordon Brown.
I want to have dinner with you tonight to discuss the details of our wedding.”
Bella froze for a moment, glancing at her legitimate husband, Edward.
He was also looking at her, making her feel guilty as if she was cheating on him.
“Bella, are you listening?” Jordon asked when Bella didn’t reply, increasing the volume.
Bella shifted towards the car door: “No problem, send me the address!”
She still planned to embarrass Tyshawn Scott at their wedding next month, so she needed to keep Jordon happy for now.
Jordon babbled on and on while Bella patiently dealt with it.
After a full twenty minutes, he finally hung up.
“Who was that?” Edward asked calmly.
“Uh, a friend,” Bella replied with a dry laugh.
Edward glanced at Bella but didn’t ask further.
Later, Edward successfully met his client and toured Philadelphia with them in the afternoon.
As her shift was ending, Bella told Edward, “I have a dinner appointment with my friend, so I’m going to head out.”
“Go ahead,” Edward didn’t stop her.
Bella secretly celebrated and quickly arrived at the restaurant where she had agreed to meet Jordon.
Jordon couldn’t help but smile as he looked at Bella’s hips.
It was said that women with wide hips were fertile, and in his eyes, despite Bella’s lack of femininity, her healthy figure would certainly extend the Brown family’s line.
Bella suppressed the urge to flip Jordon’s table and sat as far away from him as she could.
Jordon’s face was filled with excess fat, and his lewd expression made her feel sick.
Now, she still believed that Edward was better than Jordon, at least Edward was pleasing to the eye.
