Ye Yaming on the other hand was lost in his thoughts. ’The training was really effective but the effects seem to have dwindled. Maybe another meal would help.’

...

"Funeral..." Ye Yaming muttered as he reached the funeral site once again. However, this time the people attending were more chatty than the one he attended last month.Full novel: My Weak Bloodline Increases My Talent. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"A second-rate warrior fell once again. I have no idea why the other clans are not working together with us to pursue those Demonic warriors." Ye Yaming heard one inner clan member talking to another.

"It’s obvious that they want to weaken our clan. What else could be the reason?" The other adult replied, his voice filled with frustration.

"Do they really think that after we are culled, they would be able to take care of those unscrupulous warriors on their own?" The first adult chuckled.

"If they were as smart as us, would they have become lackey’s of that Ji clan?"

"Their leadership is rotten and their clan is bound to be used as cannon fodders in the war."

"A pity. Only if we had a Sect’s assistance."

The conversation continued but Ye Yaming moved away after getting the gist of the situation. The fallen warrior this time was far stronger than the previous one and people were angry with the other clan’s inaction.

The demonic faction was running rampant and the Ye clan was fighting against the big faction on its own, causing the rise of resentment in the Clan members.

’That guy? Is that still a Raven?’ A really majestic looking bird with a lethal beak and dull eyes appeared to be levitating above the dead warrior’s body.

’Come on, go now! Devour that bird!!’ Ye Yaming urged his mutated Raven to take action but the beast seemed to ignore his intentions. There was no response from the Snakey-Raven like the last time.

However, soon enough, he felt another drain of Beast Qi. Fortunately, he had Pure Qi from the cultivation this time. The sudden drain of almost all of his Beast Qi didn’t faze him.

In fact, it lightened his body. It felt as if some burden was taken off his weak body and he was feeling vigorous.

’There he goes again.’ Ye Yaming glanced at his Snakey-Raven swallow the majestic looking Raven in one gulp. His Raven faltered in the air for a second. He got a little worried but the Raven still returned back to him.

He happily smiled and summoned the stat screen once again.

’With this, I should be able to get another big boost in my talents.’ Earlier, he had hit the limit and was stuck but then his Beast soul came out on its own and swallowed the other Raven. This act allowed him to increase his talents immensely before the progress stagnated.

Since the target this time appeared to be a very majestic one, Ye Yaming hoped to get better increments this time.

"Let’s head back to my courtyard. I need to train more." He did not have any reason to stay and being an orphan, he didn’t need permission from anyone.

He had already mastered the basic cultivation technique and could move to the advanced one. The advanced technique might help with increasing the spiritual talent. This basic technique was taking too much time.

Unfortunately, even the Clan Elders didn’t have that. They never needed one.

His physical training included practicing the Ye clan martial arts technique then doing calisthenics. The method didn’t matter much, the talent increased as long as he exhausted his body with the training.

Mindlessly, he began his physical training. He ignored the enormous pain as he boosted his strength with his Qi and pushed his body to the limits.

...

"Did you see that boy? He seemed to be happy." The woman, Ye Wuchen’s mother, commented.

"Let it be. He is a sick child without parents." Another woman, Ye Ziyang’s mother, suggested she ignore him. There was no point in finding faults with a child that lived alone.

"I don’t know why they are letting him try the cultivation thing. He seems too mature and indifferent to the Clan members and the other kids. He doesn’t even greet us and lives in a separate courtyard." They were clan members and knew about the perks Ye Yaming enjoyed. She disliked how Ye Yaming, while being weak, had still bested her son many times.

"You know how rich his mother was. She would have left more than just the courtyard but the clan took it all." Ye Ziyang’s mother shook her head. The child deserved more than just a courtyard. Unfortunately, without an adult, the clan took it all.

"Shouldn’t the clan get something for raising her child? It is not like the boy can use more than one courtyard, anyway." Ye Wuchen’s mother defended the clan’s actions. Why should a child being taken care by the clan demand for more?

Why would a young child even need money? Wasn’t the clan already doing him a favor by raising him with private tutors?

Ye Ziyang’s mother sighed, not wanting to continue the discussion anymore. If it were not for the fact that his mother died young and Ye Yaming showed talent then he would have already been dead by some schemes.

She understood that Ye Wuchen’s mother wanted the precious opportunity to get tutored by the Azure Sky Sect Elder for her own son. There were many parents like that who secretly wanted their child to cultivate.

Alas, the children had to read many books before being able to understand the cultivation manual unlike the Warrior path where they only needed to train physically and one day their Beast Qi would awaken.

Not many children were capable of such academic feats at the young age of 10. There was a reason most children, if talented, got into sects in their teens.
