Yu Lang returned first, arriving at Chi Jianqing’s place.
It was a penthouse on the top floor in the heart of the city’s commercial district. Floor to ceiling windows spanned the entire wall, capturing the cityscape in one commanding view.
It was godlike, a vantage point from which to look down on the world. With nowhere else to go, Yu Lang walked inside willingly.
Naturally, he drifted into the kitchen. It was fully stocked and he prepared himself a bowl of noodles.
After nights of drinking, dancing and reckless partying until dawn, it was only proper to eat before sleeping.
Yu Lang had started taking care of himself.
The noodles bubbled and churned in the boiling water as the living room door opened and closed.
Yu Lang knew Chi Jianqing had returned.
Footsteps drew closer from behind. Out of the corner of his eye, Yu Lang saw Chi Jianqing’s almost deadly form slowly approaching.
A large, heavy embrace descended from behind, pressing against Yu Lang’s back.
Chest to back.
There was no heartbeat, only the popping bubbles of boiling water and the faint breath escaping into the kitchen air.
“I’m sorry. I won’t let anyone come near you again. I won’t make you jealous or upset anymore.”
“Drinking someone else’s wine, that’s my fault. Please forgive me.”
Yu Lang pinched a clump of noodles from the pot, blowing gently.
He didn’t respond.
Chi Jianqing tightened his hold, crushing Yu Lang’s waist in one unrestrained squeeze, making him emit a small “ugh!” as air was forcibly expelled from his lungs.
The noodles shivered, spilling onto the marble countertop, quickly cooling and stiffening.
“I beg you… please, just forgive me this once.”
Chi Jianqing’s voice was low, weighted with pleading but his actions were not of supplication, they were threats.
Yu Lang glanced sideways, briefly surveying Chi Jianqing.
The black lines crisscrossing his body were the stitches of self healing, chaotic seams of a body regenerating itself. On his paper white skin, they sprawled like ink smears, horizontal and vertical strokes forming illogical, arbitrary marks.
Suddenly, Yu Lang thought: why not toy with this foolish, laughable devotion?
He coughed and asked, “Are you eating? If you are, I’ll make an extra portion.”
“My portion too?”
The hands around his waist loosened abruptly.
“Go sit at the table.”
“Alright.”
Chi Jianqing watched Yu Lang moving in the kitchen, the irritation and resentment he’d carried dissipating instantly. All that anger had been for nothing.
Yu Lang was too beautiful; just looking at him was enough to captivate Chi Jianqing anew.
Platinum colored hair fluttered lightly in the wind from the window. Yu Lang wore an apron, his head bent, eyes focused on the bubbling pot. His long, pale, well defined fingers pinched the lid with one hand while the other scooped noodles, blowing on them gently.
Steam flushed Yu Lang’s face, reddening his cheeks. A thin layer of condensation clung to his nose and under his eyes, puffing his cheeks as he blew.
When he wasn’t being harsh or mischievous, his face was sweet enough to plunge anyone into the sensation of first love at first sight.
Chi Jianqing didn’t sit at the table. He stepped a few paces, then couldn’t resist edging closer to watch Yu Lang.
He was completely entranced.
A husband so beautiful, willing to forgive after a fight, staying home to cook for him rather than running off, how could such fortune exist?
Too blissful.Chi Jianqing’s lips twitched involuntarily, on the verge of a smile.Yu Lang tilted his head and saw it.
The pale ghost before him twitched mechanically, brows pressed low, eyes dark and intense, staring like he would devour Yu Lang whole. The corners of his mouth curled into a deliberately threatening smile.
Yu Lang’s hands shook in fright. He turned off the stove, wiped the steam from his hands, lowering his head to avoid Chi Jianqing’s gaze.
“Say what you have to say.”
Chi Jianqing exhaled deeply, dragging out his words with a heavy, almost theatrical sigh: “I want to peel your skin off, make a specimen, preserve it in a jar, something that never decays.”?!
Yu Lang’s lid clattered onto the countertop. “Thanks for calling me beautiful.”
“I want to dig out your eyes and put them in mine.”
Yu Lang divided the noodles between two bowls, added seasonings, keeping his head down and focused.
He carried the bowls, quickly weaving past Chi Jianqing.
The bowls clinked against the table; his fingertips burned red from the heat. He pinched his earlobe, humming through his nose.
“Go get the chopsticks.” Yu Lang commanded.
He sat first; Chi Jianqing brought the chopsticks.
Yu Lang changed the topic, thinking about returning to the spotlight: “Can the male lead from that crew I auditioned for last time take the role for me?”
Chi Jianqing immediately sat closer. “Of course.”
Even if it weren’t possible, he would find a way to make Yu Lang the lead, eliminate competition if necessary.
Everything Yu Lang desired must be fulfilled.
“And you still haven’t bought me the iPhone 16 Pro Max Ultra Plus I asked for.”
“Get me a new motorcycle too, nothing under two million. I won’t accept less.”
“It’s stuck with you.”
Yu Lang’s fear evaporated instantly; his voice sharpened. “Bought and gifted, can they be the same?! I take things through skill, making others willingly give them. That’s a symbol of my charm.”
Yu Lang tapped the bowl’s rim with his chopsticks like a pointer. “Don’t make me ask; you give voluntarily. Got it?”
Chi Jianqing obediently nodded. “Mm hmm.”
“Good. Tasty?”
“Tasty.”
Yu Lang smiled oddly. Chi Jianqing’s bowl was nothing but plain noodles, no oil, no salt, no flavor yet he had said “tasty” with a straight face.
Yu Lang rested his chin in his hand, his foot brushing against Chi Jianqing’s leg.
“Eat quickly. Afterward, we make love.”
Yu Lang liked Chi Jianqing’s body, purely physically. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have licked him the first time they met.
In such a vast world, it was rare to find such a handsome face and powerful physique.
Better to enjoy it fully before the thrill wore out.
In no time, they moved from the dining room to the bedroom.
Half an hour ago, they had been fighting fiercely by the roadside; now, in the blink of an eye, they were on a bed.
Yet there was no real intimacy, more like two rivals fighting for control. If one didn’t yield, the other wouldn’t either.
Chi Jianqing’s hands left marks on Yu Lang’s waist. Yu Lang gripped the tie around Chi Jianqing’s neck, leaving red impressions.
Chi Jianqing adjusted, pinching Yu Lang’s neck into the pillow.
Yu Lang turned, tugging his hair and punching him. Neither would relinquish control.
They were bruised from head to toe yet instinctively avoided each other’s beautiful faces.
Finally, Yu Lang won.“Because I hate you,” he declared. Straddling Chi Jianqing, Yu Lang seized the tie around his neck like a leash, controlling his movements.
Satisfied, he tugged, tightening Chi Jianqing’s breath.
Unsatisfied, he tugged again, leaving a bloodied mark.
Earlier harsh words became a teasing prelude, hissing like a snake’s tongue, laced with mischief.
He scolded Chi Jianqing, struck him and forced him to say thank you.
Several times Chi Jianqing tried to turn the situation into a kiss, only to be choked into silence.“Ugh, disgusting!”
Kisses were allowed, licking too but a tongue with personal scent invading the mouth was forbidden.
By the time it was over, Yu Lang’s new phone had been purchased and delivered.
He kicked Chi Jianqing aside, massaged his sore butt and eagerly ran to the living room, aiming at the floor to ceiling windows.
He bit his forked tongue, half sticking out and took selfies with the sprawling cityscape behind him.
Twisting left and right, he captured a shot of just his face.“Gotta admit, Apple is different.”
He kissed the Apple logo multiple times.Opening Weibo, he uploaded the photos, saying nothing, just changing the device tag from an unknown Android to the meticulously specified iPhone 16 Pro, with the location set to a prestigious residential district.
The moment the message went out, it took less than two minutes for the entire internet to erupt.
Comments poured in like a tidal wave, insults of every shape and size aimed at Yu Lang, as if the world wanted to strip him bare, humiliate him to nothingness.
“Heh, not cheap, huh? Guess he deserves a couple more whacks.”
That comment alone accumulated thousands of replies and tens of thousands of likes, pinned high in the comment section like a banner of collective judgment.
Yu Lang replied casually: “Not just a couple more whacks, over two hours! >w<”
