After a brief discussion, Yang Jian took the lead, lighting a Ghost Candle at the same time.

The eerie green flame flickered, illuminating the surroundings.

Immediately, the black and blue aura filling the vicinity rapidly dissipated, and everything around regained some light.Full novel: Mysterious Revival: Card Maker — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Si Ye looked at the effect of the Ghost Candle, feeling a bit surprised.

Knowing some things is one matter; seeing them with one's own eyes is another.

While Si Ye was watching the Ghost Candle, he noticed it was burning quite intensely.

"Is this the normal burning speed for a Ghost Candle? Or is the burning being accelerated?"

Unsure about the Ghost Candle's burning, Si Ye found it difficult to judge.

Although he knew a Ghost Candle should normally burn for about fifteen minutes, having never used one, he had no standard for judgment.

With the surroundings lit up, the group could also see the situation nearby.

Where the sign had been hanging before was not the door to the outpatient department; instead, standing there were people whose bodies were black and blue and stiff, unmoving.

No, they could no longer be considered human; they were all Ghost Infants in the process of growing.

These ghosts had their eyes tightly shut, standing stiffly without moving, seemingly not yet awakened.

It turned out that the outpatient department they had seen earlier was entirely formed by ghosts.

The person who kicked open the main door earlier must have kicked one of the Ghost Infants, triggering the ghost's Killing Rule.

Just then, a very sudden scene unfolded.

The Ghost Candle extinguished, and the surroundings plunged back into darkness.

"Follow me."

However, before the others could think much, Wang Xiaoming acted first, immediately running forward.

"The light emitted by the Ghost Candle just now allowed me to clearly identify the path ahead and know how to get out of this ghostly place."

Led by Wang Xiaoming, the group quickly walked out of the Hospital Hall.

"Hey, did you guys see that? There was no outpatient department at all. The main doors at the front of the Passage were all ghosts. Those things were standing there rigidly, not moving. How many doorways have we passed since just now?"

"Ten, twenty?"

Sun Yi was somewhat panicked.

Having found the way out thanks to the Ghost Candle, the group had now left that terrifying place and were heading upstairs in the Hospital via the emergency exit.

"Shut up, no one would think you're mute if you didn't speak," someone angrily retorted.

Recalling the scene they had witnessed in that instant, everyone felt lingering fear.

If they had wasted more time in that location, once all those ghosts awakened, everyone would have died there.

"What was up with those things? Why didn't they actively attack us? We walked right past them so brazenly; they shouldn't have let that opportunity slip," Zhang Han was also very uneasy.

Wang Xiaoming said, "Perhaps they are undergoing some kind of transformation and haven't fully become Third Stage Ghost Infants, or maybe it's due to some other reason."

"However, those are not what we need to worry about right now."

"Let's go upstairs first." Wang Xiaoming led the group, preparing to continue ascending.

Yang Jian immediately stopped walking; "Wait, I think acting together in the current situation makes us too big of a target. I believe it's necessary to split up."

Yang Jian said, "There's no deep consideration, I just think splitting up will be more convenient. I don't need a team; I can manage alone."

"If you encounter a ghost, you will die horribly," Zhao Kaiming said coldly.

Wang Xiaoming stated, "Although I don't know what you're thinking, I reject your suggestion. Splitting up at this moment is indeed an irrational action."

"I am merely stating my intention; I don't need your agreement," Yang Jian replied.

Si Ye looked at Yang Jian, unable to stop his thoughts from churning.

"It seems Yang Jian experienced the scene where the Ghost Candle was extinguished by the Wish Ghost, but when did that happen? I didn't sense it at all."

Si Ye frowned and glanced subtly at Zhao Kaiming.

The Fierce Ghost he possessed did not have the ability to see in the dark, so he hadn't noticed the change in the situation during the previous moments.

It wasn't until the Ghost Candle went out that he realized the Wish Ghost had made a move.

But those weren't the main points now; the key was whether Si Ye should follow Yang Jian.

Following Yang Jian down a different path would undoubtedly be much safer.

"Forget it, I won't follow Yang Jian. Given his personality, following him would only bring more trouble."

"Moreover, following Wang Xiaoming's group is more beneficial for me to test my strength. Since even Sun Yi managed to survive, I don't need to worry."

Most importantly, Si Ye needed to adapt to the unknown nature of Supernatural Incidents. With one more person, who knew what changes might occur later in the Starvation Ghost Incident.

Although Si Ye was unaware of the plot point where Wang Xiaoming led the group up the stairs, the outcome was undoubtedly acceptable.

Si Ye pondered for a moment and made up his mind.

While Si Ye was thinking, Yang Jian had already finished discussing with Wang Xiaoming and separated from the group.

A moment later, Yang Jian disappeared down the corridor on the sixth floor; he planned to take another emergency passage to the top floor.

"Do you want to go with him?" Si Ye casually asked after noticing Zhang Han's demeanor nearby.

Zhang Han didn't speak, but his expression already conveyed his thoughts.

Seeing this, Si Ye shook his head, losing the desire to continue talking with Zhang Han.

Zhang Han's stance was too unstable, and he was hesitant in his actions; there was no need to try and get closer to him.

As Yang Jian departed, Si Ye's expression turned serious.

The path ahead was no longer described in the Original Work's plot.

"Let's go too."

Wang Xiaoming stared in the direction Yang Jian disappeared, seemingly lost in thought, but he quickly stopped pondering and continued leading the group upstairs.

This time, Si Ye did not stay at the back of the team but chose a Position relatively close to Wang Xiaoming.

Although he didn't know what would happen next, he clearly remembered.

A large portion of the Ghost Infants Wang Xiaoming encountered were the ones that had come up from the section of the corridor they had just passed through.

Whether it was an illusion or not, as the situation ahead became unknown, Si Ye felt the surrounding Corridor had become much dimmer.

"Is this due to psychological pressure?" Si Ye wondered.

"No, that's not right. I've only become more serious; it shouldn't cause such a change."

"So, are those Ghost Infants starting to stir, are the Fourth stage ghost infants beginning to move?"

Si Ye looked back downstairs.

The Corridor behind him was shrouded in darkness, making it impossible to see what was behind them.

In the silent Corridor, apart from the sound of their footsteps, there was no other noise.

The darkness seemed to devour everything, preventing them from hearing whether the Ghost Infants downstairs were making any sounds.
