Chapter 19: How much can you see?

Mythos: The Undefeated One

Luke had imagined the Seer’s tent would be just like the one had seen in the uncanny hill village. Outside of the tent’s fabric was midnight blue, embroidered with silver runes that faintly glowed, catching the evening’s sunset.

A wooden sign read, "The Past. The Present. The Price."

Two Hunters stood guard on both sides of the entrance of the blue tent. Luke raised a brow wondering why guards should be standing in the front of a small tent.

He pushed the curtains to the side with his hand and walked inside the tent, on entering, his eyes widened.

The interior of the tent was far larger than it was meant to be. It looked like a large Hall.

Luke studied the hall. Various shelves filled with books, were lined across the cream colored walls, floating multi colored candles hovered at the very top.

There was also a map, with a surface that moved, various other artifacts were arranged around the hall.

Constellations moved across the ceiling. Right at Luke’s front was a wooden table and a chair, and sitting on top of it was a little girl drinking tea.

Luke had not realized she was there, his gaze was focused on the ceiling where the constellation of stars floated. It made the atmosphere feel peaceful.

Finally noticing the little girl..

"Amazing." Luke complimented, impressed by the design. The Little girl then looked at luke with an excited expression..."Thanks I made it my.." She paused, studied him, and then her demeanor turned cold.

"You are not who you appear to be..Luke."

Luke flinched in suprise...’How does she?..

The realization settled in.

’Of course..she is a seer. ’ They both stared at each other for a few seconds, words left unspoken between them. Luke had a feeling that the more he stood there, the more she would see.

’What the fuck have I gotten myself into?’ Luke thought to himself, totally worried. "How much do you know?" Luke asked the little girl, trying to appear calm and composed, she took a sip from her tea and replied...

"Everything."

’Fuck.’

Luke thought to himself, he had not purposely revealed his class to the seer that’s why the game’s system had not outright killed him.

But with that settled, there was still a question that Lingered, would she go about telling people about how she had found the Undefeated One?

"Don’t bother Luke, I’ll keep your secret, and congrats on the world wide announcement." She continued with a sincere smile.

Luke’s jaw dropped.

’What?!

The little girl stood up, dropped the teacup she was holding and walked towards the map fixed on the cream colored wall."

She mumbled something to herself.."Looks like this batch of Dormants are going to be interesting." She touched the map, it shimmered then changed to a price board.

*Price board for Luke*

Simple future... 20 silver.

Lost object... 3 gold.

Locate missing persons... 1,000 gold.

Change fate... Not available (Probably).

Luke’s two eyes twitched as he stared at the price board, how did his name even get there? He went through it and..

"A Thousand gold coins?!"

Luke yelled, totally shocked at the absurd amount the little girl asked just to search for missing persons. "Isn’t that way too much!"

The little girl chuckled finding the situation amusing.

Luke turned to the curtain, took a step forward then spoke.."i guess I’ll have to reconsider then." The little girl smirked.. Then replied.. "Reconsider searching for Selene, Pippa and Clara?"

Luke froze mid step, eyes widening. ’So she really knows everything then.’ He turned back facing the little girl, his expression a mixture of shock and a little bit of fear.

Who wouldn’t be afraid in such a situation. "I’m sure you already know I don’t have a thousand coins, so I guess when i do I’ll come back."

The little girl smiled in understanding an object appeared in her hand, she then tossed it toward Luke.

[You have received an accessory!]

Ella whispered into Luke’s ears.

"What’s this?" Luke asked, adjusting the Rocky object on his hand. The little girl spoke. "It’s the Seris Library Tracker, you’ll use it to find me.. Seris."

"Oh alright then, Seris." Luke spoke, proceeded to equip the Seris Tracker, then turned and walked out of the tent.

"Played by a little girl, what a day this turned out to be."

A thought crossed his mind.

"Why do I need to find her, if I can just come back here though?"

Luke wondered as he turned to look at the blue tent, however, to his utmost shock the tent and the guards were gone!

Three figures, a knight, a mage and an archer stood side by side in the wilderness, surrounding them were five Void Giant rats, which were all spawn level beasts. The archer nocked two sharp wooden arrows on a bow and shot it simultaneously at two of the rats.

One of the rats dodged the arrow almost instantly already lunging forward for an attack it’s fangs bared while the other arrow only scraped the second rat’s skin.

The rats pushed, thinking they had won, however the next second they both crashed on the ground flat, the arrows were never targeting them in the first place, it only turned to strike them from behind.

Clara dismissed her staff, having taken care of the other rats, she then related to the Archer, with a smile through a hand sign.

"Great work, john."

"Thanks Clara." John responded with a genuine smile."

"The knight on the other hand had a forlorn expression written on his face."

"What’s wrong Lancel?"

John asked speaking with both his hands and mouth.

"Lancel the handsome knight answered as he gazed at the setting sun."

"Its Just that things aren’t going as I expected, although we all can predict a lot that would transpire in the coming year at least, but variables like The Undefeated one, Death, Finding our family members and friends were never accounted for."

"They all fell silent, well at least we have each other for now." Lancel sighed in relief, the fact that his friends were with him made him feel a lot more comfortable.

"Now, we just have to find the others."
