One week had passed since the declaration of the Fourth Shinobi World War.

The eighty-thousand-strong Allied Shinobi Forces had begun to assemble, while the Five Kage worked on finalizing their battle plans.

At the same time, Kabuto Yakushi approached Obito Uchiha, who commanded an army of one hundred thousand White Zetsu.Full novel: Naruto: I Revived Legends to Fight the Gods — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“So it has finally begun.” Amagiri Ren smiled faintly.

“Everything is proceeding according to plan.

All that remains is to draw out that old hag Kaguya…” Amagiri Ren had lived in this world for many years, but his goal had never changed.

He wanted to kill Kaguya Ōtsutsuki once and for all.

In the original ending of the shinobi world, Naruto and Sasuke had successfully sealed Kaguya away.

However, the old woman had never truly died.

Even her Rinne Sharingan remained intact, leaving the world trapped in an endless cycle.

This time, Amagiri Ren intended to deal with her permanently and return the world to its proper course.

After all, this was a world he had created.

He would not allow anyone to destroy it.

“This presence…” Amagiri Ren’s expression shifted slightly.

“Who could it be?” His figure vanished from the spot.

“Big Sister, humanity from more than a thousand worlds has challenged the gods, yet every last one of them failed.” Göll, the youngest of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, looked at her eldest sister, Brunhilde, and sighed.

“Do you still believe humans are capable of defeating the gods?” During the divine council held once every thousand years, the gods had decided that humanity should be wiped out.

Brunhilde, a Valkyrie who possessed both human and divine blood, had objected to their decision.

To prevent humanity’s destruction, she proposed the commencement of Ragnarok.

Thirteen of humanity’s greatest warriors would be chosen to face thirteen gods in one-on-one battles.

If humanity managed to win seven matches, it would be spared from destruction.

Unsurprisingly, the gods had responded to Brunhilde’s proposal with merciless ridicule.

Even so, she had always believed that the gods were not invincible.

Somewhere among humanity, there had to be warriors powerful enough to defeat them.

Unfortunately, once Ragnarok began, humanity from more than a thousand different worlds had accepted the challenge—and every one of those worlds had been destroyed.

Even more astonishingly, the strongest warriors selected from those worlds had failed to win a single match.

It was impossible for Brunhilde’s faith to remain completely unshaken.

“Are the gods truly unbeatable?” Brunhilde murmured, staring blankly into the distance.

“Who are you two?” A voice suddenly came from nearby.

A figure appeared in front of the two Valkyries without warning.

It was Amagiri Ren.

“Huh?” Göll stared at the handsome man who had suddenly appeared.

“Who are you?” “I’m merely an unknown nobody from the shinobi world.” Amagiri Ren glanced between them.

“More importantly, who are the two of you?

You don’t belong to this world, do you?” “That’s correct.

Your senses are remarkably sharp.” Brunhilde studied him for a moment before explaining.

“We are Valkyries from the divine realm.

It is now your world’s turn to participate in Ragnarok.” “Thirteen of your world’s strongest warriors must be selected to fight the gods in single combat.

If humanity wins seven matches, your world will be spared from destruction.” Brunhilde proceeded to explain the rules of Ragnarok and the reason behind their arrival.

“What did you just say?” Amagiri Ren’s eyes immediately turned cold.

“The gods intend to destroy the world I created?

What kind of joke is that?” This was supposed to be the shinobi world.

Where had these so-called gods suddenly come from?

“You created this world?” Brunhilde immediately caught the most important part of his statement.

“Then you must know who the strongest people in this world are.” “The strongest?” Amagiri Ren looked puzzled.

Wasn’t that obviously him?

“Please, you must find the thirteen strongest warriors this world has to offer.” Brunhilde’s voice became serious.

“The fate of your entire world depends on them.” “Although I have already come to understand that it is nearly impossible for humans to defeat the gods, your people should at least be given the opportunity to fight for their own survival.” “I understand.” Amagiri Ren rubbed his forehead.

Only now did he realize what had happened.

The Valkyries from Record of Ragnarok had somehow descended upon the shinobi world.

It seemed that refusing the challenge was no longer an option.

But where was he supposed to find thirteen warriors strong enough to fight the gods?

“Are you capable of reviving the dead and allowing them to participate?” Amagiri Ren asked.

After all, most of the shinobi world’s strongest warriors were already dead.

As for those who were still alive—such as the current Five Kage—they were little more than second-rate cannon fodder in his eyes.

Sending them into Ragnarok would be no different from handing the gods free victories.

From what Amagiri Ren remembered, the Valkyries could select champions from anywhere throughout human history.

That meant they should possess some method of reviving the dead.

“Big Sister, how does he know about that?” Göll looked genuinely surprised.

Brunhilde hesitated before answering.

“For me to revive someone, I must first have possession of their soul.” “I have never visited your world before, so I have not collected the souls of any of its dead.” “I’m afraid I cannot help you.” Even Brunhilde looked somewhat embarrassed after saying it.

They had arrived with no preparation whatsoever and expected the people of this world to immediately enter Ragnarok.

Under such circumstances, it was even less likely that this world could defeat the gods.

Ragnarok was beginning to seem like little more than a formality—a final chance for humanity to struggle before being erased.

Amagiri Ren rubbed his forehead again.

“So I still have to handle everything myself.” If he personally intervened, the identity he had kept hidden behind the scenes for so many years would inevitably be exposed.

“Whatever.” Amagiri Ren let out a sigh.

“This might not be a bad opportunity to use the gods to kill Kaguya.” “As long as I obtain the result I want, nothing else matters.” He raised one hand.

“Then you will be humanity’s first warrior in this battle against the gods.” “True: Impure World Reincarnation!” Without the slightest attempt to hide what he was doing, Amagiri Ren performed his perfected Impure World Reincarnation directly in front of the two Valkyries.

A cloud of white smoke erupted from the ground.

A coffin slowly rose from beneath the earth.

“Looks like that brat Nagato finally got something right!” Bang!

The coffin lid was blasted away from the inside with a powerful kick.
