“Big Sister, these people don’t seem ordinary at all…” Göll could sense terrifying power from every one of them.
The man they called the First Hokage was especially frightening.
It felt as though an endless source of energy burned within his body.
“Perhaps they really can defeat the gods.” Hope began to return to Brunhilde’s eyes.
“There you go again, Big Sister…” Göll sighed helplessly.
“Have you forgotten how many powerful humans we’ve encountered before?
In the end, every one of them lost to the gods.” “What makes these people who call themselves shinobi any different?” Göll had never believed that humans could defeat the gods.
Had Brunhilde not insisted on arranging Ragnarok, she would never have bothered traveling from world to world with her.
“Göll, trust me.” Brunhilde’s eyes shone with conviction.
“The humans of this world feel different.
Perhaps they possess methods of fighting that even the gods have never seen before.” “They may end up taking the gods completely by surprise.” Brunhilde was a Valkyrie who would never surrender her hope.
Meanwhile, Amagiri Ren had already given the four Hokage a brief explanation of the situation.
They now understood why they had been summoned.
“As long as you aren’t ordering us to destroy Konoha, I have no objection.” Hiruzen finally relaxed and showed his usual kindly smile.
“Fighting the gods doesn’t sound particularly frightening.” “Don’t concern yourself with that, Hiruzen.” Amagiri Ren dismissed him without hesitation.
“Of the four of you, only Hashirama and Minato qualify to participate.” There was no need for the Third Hokage to worry about fighting the gods.
He would not be entering the arena.
“I see…” Hiruzen’s smile stiffened, leaving him visibly embarrassed.
Minato looked surprised.
“Ren-sensei, am I truly qualified to duel one of the gods?” “Why is the Fourth qualified when I am not?” Tobirama immediately objected.
“Are you saying the Fourth Hokage is stronger than me?” “Ah, well…” Minato looked awkwardly between them.
“I’m certainly not stronger than Lord Second.
Perhaps it would be better to let him participate instead.” “Enough.” Amagiri Ren’s expression turned cold.
“I will decide who fights.
Since when did any of you have the right to choose?” Amagiri Ren knew Tobirama had an extremely forceful personality.
During his time as Hokage, he had governed Konoha with uncompromising methods.
Someone like him could only be kept under control by an even stronger attitude.
Trying to explain everything patiently would only encourage him to keep arguing.
As for Hiruzen, there was little to discuss.
He had been summoned in his old age, and his strength was limited to that of an ordinary Kage-level shinobi.
The reason Amagiri Ren had chosen Minato instead of Tobirama was simple.
Tobirama had already reached the limit of his potential.
There was little room for him to grow any stronger.
Minato, however, had yet to fully display either Nine-Tails Chakra Mode or Sage Mode.
Sage Mode was particularly important.
Against divine opponents, senjutsu chakra might prove especially effective.
“Congratulations, Amagiri Ren!” Brunhilde and Göll walked over to greet the group.
“You’ve already found five powerful warriors.” “Only three.” Amagiri Ren corrected her.
Of the five reanimated shinobi, only three possessed enough potential to fight the gods.
“Ren-sama, do you already have other candidates in mind?” Madara asked.
“Of course.” Amagiri Ren nodded.
“There are still three dead men I need to revive.” The three candidates he had chosen were the Six Paths of Pain, Itachi Uchiha, and Jiraiya.
Afterward, he would seek out several living shinobi: the masked man Obito Uchiha, Might Guy, Naruto, and Sasuke.
That would give him ten warriors.
Finally, he would bring out the Sage of Six Paths and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.
Including Amagiri Ren himself, that would make exactly thirteen champions.
He wondered how many rounds the gods could endure against such a lineup.
“Hiruzen, go to the ocean and recover Jiraiya’s body.” Amagiri Ren assigned the task to the Third Hokage.
Hiruzen had been Jiraiya’s teacher, so it was only appropriate that he handle it.
“You intend to revive Jiraiya?” Hiruzen stared at him in surprise.
Amagiri Ren actually intended to send Jiraiya into battle against the gods.
Did that mean he believed Jiraiya was stronger than the Second Hokage?
“What?” “Jiraiya-sensei can be revived?” Minato immediately became emotional.
“Lord Third, please allow me to accompany you.
I want to help recover Jiraiya-sensei’s body.” Jiraiya had been the person Minato respected most throughout his life.
“Go.” Amagiri Ren waved his hand, ordering the Third and Fourth Hokage to set out immediately.
“Itachi Uchiha and the Six Paths of Pain have already been revived using that inferior version of Impure World Reincarnation.” Amagiri Ren considered the situation briefly.
“I suppose we’ll have to find Kabuto first and make him release the technique on those two.” His figure blurred and disappeared.
“Ren-sama, wait for me!” Madara immediately chased after him.
“Use your Body Flicker Technique and see whether you can keep up.” Hashirama glanced at his younger brother.
“I’ll try.” Tobirama grabbed Hashirama by the shoulder, and the two vanished from where they stood.
“Göll, let’s follow them.” Brunhilde looked excited.
“I want to see what other powerful warriors this world has to offer.” “Yes, Big Sister!” The two Valkyries sensed Amagiri Ren’s location and flew after him.
Kabuto had just finished negotiating his alliance with the masked Obito and was returning to Ryūchi Cave.
Before he could get far, Amagiri Ren suddenly appeared and blocked his path.
“Who are you?” Kabuto’s snake-like eyes narrowed as he stared intently at the unfamiliar man before him.
