Another seven days passed.

Aside from eating, sleeping, and completing missions, Shin spent every spare moment cultivating.

The Advanced Three-Body Technique reached Level 3, while Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique climbed to Level 9.

Three Shadow Clones were responsible for most of that progress.

Without them, Shin would never have been able to raise his skills this quickly.

Then there was the primordial chaos Heaven Devouring Art, which condensed Chakra ten times more efficiently than ordinary cultivation methods.

That was the foundation supporting everything else.

Shin’s combat power also broke through 10.

His base strength had officially reached the Chunin level.

In an actual fight, he was confident he could contend with a high-level Chunin.

As for a Jonin, Shin wasn’t arrogant enough to think he could take one on.

Every Jonin had survived countless battles and accumulated years of combat experience.

Someone like Shin, who had only recently entered the Ninja World, couldn’t compare to that.

“Shin, the wild boar is heading your way.” Abero’s voice came through the communicator.

“Understood.” Shin pressed the button and looked up.

A massive wild boar was charging straight toward him, its hooves pounding against the ground.

Shin’s right hand swept across his waist.

A Kunai slipped between his fingers.

He raised his arm, adjusted the angle, and threw.

Whoosh!

The Kunai shot forward like an arrow released from a bowstring.

It pierced the wild boar’s right eye with perfect accuracy.

Blood sprayed.

The Kunai punched straight through its skull and slammed into the ground behind it, digging a hole into the earth.

Shin had already restrained his strength as much as possible.

Even so, his power was too great.

A casual movement from him could unleash frightening force.

With a Strength of 33, Shin could exert roughly 1,500 jin of force.

One and a half turns.

That level of explosive strength meant he didn’t need any special technique.

The force behind a single Kunai was enough to kill an adult wild boar instantly.

Roar!

The animals of the Ninja World had astonishing vitality.

The Kunai had pierced through the boar’s eye and brain, yet it still hadn’t completely died.

Its massive body thrashed violently in the pool of blood, scraping at the ground as it struggled.

But its movements were already growing weaker.

“Shin, that’s terrifying!

You dropped a wild boar with one Kunai!” Abero and Ito Miyuki had witnessed the entire attack.

The force behind that single throw had genuinely shocked them.

If Shin had used a heavy weapon, they might have understood.

But it was only a Kunai.

Shin waved it off.

It was nothing.

He hadn’t even used his full strength, much less activated Space Compression.

Once Space Compression was activated, its power would double.

A Strength of 1,500 jin would instantly become 3,000 jin.

That kind of force was terrifying.

But Shin had no intention of exposing everything he could do.

Keeping a trump card hidden was always better than showing all his cards.

Their current mission was to drive away the beasts within a ten-kilometer radius and kill at least one-third of them.

They still had plenty of work ahead.

“You two drive the beasts toward the outer area.

I’ll check the other side.” With that, Shin’s figure vanished.

Ito Miyuki watched the direction he had gone, her brows slowly drawing together.

Something had changed.

Ever since the bandit suppression mission, she had often felt that Shin was no longer the same person.

He seemed colder now.

Sometimes, when she caught his eyes, she could even see a faint trace of bloodlust buried within them.

“Abero, don’t you think Shin has changed?” “Changed?” Abero scratched his head.

“He’s gotten stronger, I guess.” “That’s not what I mean.” Miyuki frowned.

“I feel like something happened during that bandit mission.

Shin gives me a strange feeling now.

He’s cold.

Really cold.

When you try to get close to him, it feels like there’s a layer of ice around his heart.” “Then get close to me instead!

My heart is warm!” Abero grinned.

Miyuki rolled her eyes.

“I can’t be bothered with you.” She turned and ran toward another area.

Abero stood there, rubbing his chest with a puzzled expression.

“My heart is obviously warm.

Why can’t Miyuki feel it?” Time passed.

A month disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The Konoha Chunin Exams were also nearing their end.

They weren’t nearly as lively as the joint Chunin Exams held by several villages during peacetime, but plenty of people still came to watch.

Shin wasn’t one of them.

The day he would leave for the battlefield was getting closer.

The news had already been announced.

This year’s graduates, together with the newly promoted Chunin, would be sent to the Land of Rain battlefield.

Of all the places Shin could have been sent, the Land of Rain was the one he least wanted to visit.

The Land of Rain sat between the Land of Wind, the Land of Earth, and the Land of Fire, while also bordering several smaller countries.

Its location made it a natural battleground.

During every Ninja World War, the major villages had fought over this region.

This time would be no different.

Konoha Ninja, Sand Ninja, Stone Ninja, bounty Ninja, and Rain Ninja were all active on that battlefield.

Even the Akatsuki Organization, led by Yahiko, had become involved.

The Hidden Cloud Village, Hidden Mist Village, and countless other forces were also moving in the shadows.

The situation was a complete mess.

With so many forces crammed into the same battlefield, every Ninja stayed on edge.

A single suspicious movement could turn into a fight to the death.

The Land of Rain had become a graveyard for Ninja.

A meat grinder.

Ninja from different villages collided there like explosive tags waiting for a spark.

One wrong step was enough to set everything off.

That was exactly why Shin didn’t want to go.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t something he could decide for himself.

With his current strength, he wasn’t strong enough to turn his back on Konoha.
