NARUTO: IDE:Chapter 5 Battle Practice Hearing that weapons were forbidden, many students quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

Their practice Kunai had no sharp edges and weren’t lethal, but getting hit by one still hurt like hell.

Shin, on the other hand, needed real combat experience to sharpen himself.Full novel: NARUTO: INFINITE DOJUTSU EVOLUTION — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Fighting his classmates was a perfect opportunity.

“Prepare yourselves.

Form the Seal of Confrontation!” Sugiki Keitai’s voice rang out again, marking the official start of the match.

Shin and Saito Ki raised their right hands at the same time, forming the Seal of Confrontation.

The instant the seal was completed, Saito Ki’s head snapped up.

He pushed off the ground and charged forward.

His right fist was raised high, driving straight toward Shin’s face.

Shin had been waiting for it.

With 6 points in Constitution, his reaction speed was already far beyond that of his peers.

Even among Genin, his physical ability would be around the middle of the pack.

That was because many Ninja who reached the Genin stage devoted most of their effort to Ninjutsu and Chakra training, focusing more on mental strength.

Physical training usually became a greater priority after reaching the Chunin or Jonin stage.

Their bodies weren’t weak, but Shin had already pulled ahead.

Even so, Shin intended to keep a low profile.

When Saito Ki’s fist came at him, Shin deliberately let a trace of panic show and shifted his body to dodge.

Seeing Shin evade, Saito Ki immediately followed with another punch.

This one came straight for Shin’s cheek.

Bang!

Shin raised both arms and blocked the blow.

He absolutely wasn’t letting that fist hit his face.

He wanted to stay low-key, sure, but his appearance mattered too.

How could a handsome guy like him let someone punch his face into a pig’s head?

The two separated.

Saito Ki planted his right hand against the ground, using it to support his weight.

His lower body became the pivot as he twisted his waist hard, launching a fast side-flipping kick.

“Damn, this kid is vicious!” Shin felt the gust of wind sweep beneath him and cursed inwardly.

He’s this young and already knows to target the lower body.

What kind of monster will he become when he grows up?

Of course, Shin understood the logic behind it.

This was Ninja combat.

On the battlefield, every fight was a matter of life and death.

Attacks had to target vital points.

Hesitate for even a moment, and the one showing mercy might be the one who died.

Right now, they were enemies, not classmates.

Once the battle began, one of them was bound to fall.

This was only the adjustment period.

Once Sugiki Keitai allowed them to use weapons, things would become far more dangerous.

Injuries would be unavoidable, and deaths were no longer impossible.

This was Ninja combat.

To survive in this chaotic era, Shin’s first priority was to adapt.

Otherwise, even if he possessed immense power, he would eventually end up as fish on someone else’s chopping block.

With that thought, Shin pushed everything else out of his mind and focused entirely on the fight.

He still hadn’t awakened his Sharingan, but his Spirit had reached 10 points.

His heightened perception allowed him to see through his opponent’s movements and spot weaknesses in his defense, letting him respond without panic.

To anyone watching, Shin might have looked like he was being beaten the entire time.

Only Shin knew that he was slowly adapting to his new strength.

Time passed.

The sparring on the training ground continued, with occasional cries of pain breaking through the noise.

But no matter how badly someone was beaten or how serious their injuries became, Sugiki Keitai showed no intention of stopping the matches.

Shin was hit several times as well.

Some blows were deliberate, aimed away from vital points so he could maintain his low-key image.

Others were attacks he genuinely failed to avoid.

His combat experience was still too poor.

And because he couldn’t reveal his true strength without risking unwanted attention, taking a few hits was unavoidable.

So he suffered.

A lot.

Shin didn’t know whether his previous self had somehow offended Saito Ki, but every attack from the boy seemed aimed at a vital point.

If Shin’s physical condition hadn’t been better than his opponent’s, he probably would’ve had to crawl home that day.

Even so, by the time school ended, his body was covered in bruises.

Saito Ki glanced at him with undisguised disdain.

The look on his face seemed to say, “So much for the great Uchiha.

You’re still the one I beat.” Shin couldn’t be bothered with him.

He walked out of the Academy slowly, one hand pressed against his aching waist.

The beating hadn’t been pointless.

At the very least, his practical combat ability had improved considerably.

Night fell.

Shin once again exhausted his Energy completely, then forced himself to cultivate the Primordial Chaos Heaven Devouring Art.

He repeated the cycle again and again.

By the end, his Clone Technique had reached Level 4.

At Level 4, Shin could create four clones simultaneously.

More importantly, every increase in level had made the technique easier to cast.

Now, he only needed a single hand seal and a thought to activate the Clone Technique.

Shin was thrilled.

His body wasn’t.

The day’s practical combat training had drained him physically and mentally.

He barely managed to drag himself into the bathroom and take a cold shower before collapsing onto the bed and falling asleep.

The next morning.

Shin went to school just as he had the previous day.

He paid only casual attention to the morning lessons.

In the afternoon, the students returned to the same training ground.

Shin had expected another round of sparring.

Instead, Sugiki Keitai had them practice throwing Shuriken and Kunai.

Like sparring, both skills were essential for Genin.

Add the Three Body Technique, and they had everything needed to send a fresh batch of cannon fodder to the battlefield.

As for other Ninjutsu?

Forget it.

Don’t even think about it.

Even if someone handed the techniques to you, you might not be able to learn them.

Take Uchiha Shin as an example.

His aptitude was indeed poor, placing him at the bottom even among the major clans.

But compared with civilian Ninja, he was only average.

If the current Shin hadn’t transmigrated into this body, the Chakra inside him would have been pitifully small.

After using the Three Body Technique a few times, he would probably have exhausted his entire reserve.

And if someone like him was already this bad, the civilian Ninja weren’t much better.

Given the circumstances, the Academy had no reason to waste time teaching them other Ninjutsu.

Students with talent from prominent clans already had access to their own family techniques.

Students without a background but with genuine potential would be assigned to capable Jonin after graduation and receive further instruction.

Over time, this became the norm.

The Academy didn’t need to teach too many skills.

As long as the students could graduate, that was enough.

For someone like Shin, who had a powerful clan behind him but almost no talent, being assigned a good teacher after graduation would be a miracle.

He was far more likely to be thrown onto the battlefield as cannon fodder.

That was exactly why Shin was so desperate to improve his strength.

Thud!

A Kunai struck the bullseye six meters away.

Shin let out a long breath.

The Uchiha Clan generally possessed stronger Spirit than ordinary people, and Kunai throwing had always been one of their specialties.

The previous Shin’s skill in this area wasn’t outstanding, but it wasn’t terrible either.

The transmigrated Shin was another story.

His performance could only be described as awful.

Nine out of ten throws missed the target.

No matter how poorly a student performed in class, nobody was as bad as him.

He looked like someone who had never touched a Kunai before.

Fortunately, Shin’s Spirit had improved tremendously.

After repeated practice, his throws finally stopped flying wide.

This time, the Kunai struck the bullseye.

Shin secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

If he couldn’t even keep up with the others, he wouldn’t know how to explain himself.

Sugiki Keitai had been watching him from the beginning, and if his performance continued to be this different from his usual standard, there would be no way to hide it.

Shin kept practicing.

Gradually, he found his rhythm.

Thud!

Bullseye.

Thud!

Bullseye again.

Every throw landed in the center.

Seeing his performance, Sugiki Keitai moved the target back to eight meters.

“Continue.” Shin nodded and kept throwing.

Of course, stationary targets were only basic practice.

On a real battlefield, nobody would stand there and politely wait for you to hit them.

So alongside stationary targets, the students also had to practice against moving targets and targets approaching from different angles.
