“Summoning Jutsu!”
Just as Ye Yue Ling and Yezhue Ai were advancing their attack, a middle-aged man suddenly appeared ahead.
As soon as he appeared, he directly summoned Baku.
“Lord Danzo!”
Seeing Danzo Shimura arrive on the battlefield, Konoha’s morale surged once again!
When Danzo Shimura heard that Hiruzen Sarutobi was leading men toward the border and leaving him to guard the village, he was immediately displeased.
He believed that Hiruzen Sarutobi might not fare well against the full power of Kumogakure and might even risk serious injury.
Thus, he ignored Hiruzen Sarutobi’s order to guard the village and rushed to the battlefield without pause!
His guess proved correct; if Danzo Shimura hadn’t arrived, Yezhue Ai and Ye Yue Ling would have gone on a killing spree, and Konoha would have quickly fallen into a disadvantage!
“Wind Style: Vacuum Great Sphere!”
Danzo Shimura stood atop Baku, and Baku cooperated with Danzo Shimura, using its mouth to release a powerful Wind Release!
After Ye Yue Ling quickly dodged, he aimed a Ninjutsu at Baku’s mouth.
“Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!”
Baku was opening its mouth wide to suck in the surrounding air when it suddenly inhaled the Great Fire Annihilation!
It was instantly scalded by the Great Fire Annihilation and collapsed to the ground, soon dispersing into white smoke!
“Ling, well done!”
Seeing Ye Yue Ling take out Baku with a single Fire Release, Yezhue Ai’s morale soared.
He activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode and charged at Danzo Shimura!
“Lightning Straight!”
Yezhue Ai released his Lightning Release Chakra Mode at full power, his hair standing on end!
He transformed into a bolt of blue lightning, racing toward Danzo Shimura at extreme speed!
“Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!”
Danzo Shimura used Ninjutsu to block Yezhue Ai’s movement.
“Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!”
He then followed up with Wind Release.
A powerful blast of wind blew from Danzo Shimura’s mouth.
Yezhue Ai, who was trapped by the Swamp of the Underworld, took the full force of Danzo Shimura’s Great Breakthrough, and several bloody gashes appeared on his body!
Just as Danzo Shimura was about to further exploit his success, Ye Yue Ling fired a Chidori Sharp Spear toward Danzo Shimura’s chest!
Although Danzo Shimura dodged in time, he was still inevitably wounded on his left arm by the Chidori Sharp Spear! This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.
“Damn it, this brat!”
Danzo Shimura was extremely surprised that a child who didn’t look very old could actually cause him harm!
He then retreated again, forming hand seals.
“Wind Release: Blade of Wind!”
A wind sword appeared in Danzo Shimura’s hand.
With a single swing, a blade of wind energy shot out!
He swung several times at Ye Yue Ling, attempting to kill him.
However, because of the distance, Ye Yue Ling used the high mobility of his Tailed Beast Chakra and Lightning Release Chakra to dodge them all.
During the few minutes Ye Yue Ling held off Danzo Shimura, Yezhue Ai also escaped from the Swamp of the Underworld.
“Guillotine Drop!”
Yezhue Ai raised his leg high and chopped down toward Danzo Shimura!
Danzo Shimura dodged with a Body Flicker, then countered by swinging several blades of wind energy at Yezhue Ai.
Having almost reached Danzo Shimura, Yezhue Ai couldn’t dodge in time and was hit several times!
Fortunately, Yezhue Ai had his Lightning Release Chakra for protection and a powerful physical body to shield him; anyone else would have likely been killed several times over!
But even so, Yezhue Ai suffered significant injuries!
Seeing his older brother injured, Ye Yue Ling immediately used Ninjutsu to cover his brother’s retreat.
“Chidori Sharp Spear!”
This Chidori Sharp Spear wasn’t the previous version that only attacked once; it was a continuous type, the duration of which depended on Chakra.
Ye Yue Ling estimated that he could only maintain this continuous laser-like Chidori Sharp Spear for three minutes at most before his Chakra was completely exhausted!
This was even with the help of the Eight-Tails; without the Eight-Tails’ help, he probably wouldn’t have lasted a minute before running out of Chakra!
After all, if this Ninjutsu had high persistence, long range, and high damage without consuming much Chakra, it would be invincible.
Ye Yue Ling released the continuous Chidori Sharp Spear, aiming it at Danzo Shimura as he moved.
Danzo Shimura dodged with the Body Flicker Technique, leaving a long black scorch mark on the ground, as if a giant were writing on the earth.
Seeing that his brother had reached his side, Ye Yue Ling stopped this incredibly Chakra-consuming behavior.
“In just over a minute, half of my Chakra is already gone!”
The previously bright red Tailed Beast Cloak had now become dim.
Danzo Shimura saw Ye Yue Ling stop the Chidori Sharp Spear and was preparing to counterattack, but the Kumogakure army had already overwhelmed Konoha and was advancing, forcing Danzo to support Konoha instead, leaving him no time to worry about the two brothers, Yezhue Ai and Ye Yue Ling.
“Phew, brother, I still have half my Chakra left.
What about you?”
“I have half left as well!”
While the two brothers were discussing, the Third Raikage also prepared to give up after seeing Danzo Shimura arrive to support.
If it were only Hiruzen Sarutobi, he had hope of winning this battle, but with Danzo Shimura there as well, if he were held back by Hiruzen Sarutobi, no one could defeat Danzo Shimura.
“Hmph, Hokage, I’ll let you off this time!”
The Third Raikage threw out a parting threat, then quickly retreated, preparing to leave the battlefield.
The Third Hokage knew it was impossible to detain a meat shield like the Third Raikage and had no intention of chasing him, only replying calmly.
“As long as the will of fire exists, you will never be able to defeat Konoha!”
The Third Raikage didn’t want to argue about this will of fire and returned directly to the Kumogakure army, signaling a retreat.
Tutai was also a clever man and knew the Raikage believed that with both the Third Hokage and Danzo Shimura present, the eastern front had become the hardest nut to crack.
However, although the Third Raikage decided to retreat, he had no intention of returning directly to the Hidden Cloud Village.
He set up camp in the rear, intending to engage Konoha in a long-term conflict.
In the past few days, the Third Raikage’s night raids on Konoha had indeed achieved significant results, but afterward, Konoha used a third of their army to guard the night, making it impossible for Kumogakure to ambush them again.
Furthermore, bad news came from the Sunagakure front; Sunagakure had been defeated and had signed a treaty with Konoha, and their troops had already withdrawn!
If Kumogakure didn’t retreat now, once Sakumo Hatake was freed from the Sunagakure battlefield, he would soon come to provide reinforcements.
Despite his reluctance, the Third Raikage had to face reality and left the eastern battlefield before being defeated.
After the Third Raikage left the eastern battlefield, the Third Hokage immediately sent Danzo Shimura and Sakumo Hatake to the Iwagakure battlefield!
Iwagakure was beaten into a steady retreat and was forced to sign a compensation agreement with Konoha.
In this Shinobi World War, Konoha and Kumogakure became the only two nations to profit!
Ye Yue Ling and Yezhue Ai also earned a new title: [The Strongest Duo].
The Second Shinobi World War thus came to an end!
Hope you will understand and I really loved that previous name BTW.
