“Isn’t that Might Duy and Guy?” Kazama had gone out for his morning run when he spotted Might Guy, who had been born on the exact same day and in the same year as him.
Because of the System, Kazama’s birthday was January 1st.
On the first day of every year, he received one unit of Level 1 Wish Power.
And Might Guy’s father was none other than Might Duy.
Although Duy was only a genin, he was an absolute monster when it came to taijutsu—a man capable of opening all Eight Gates.
Ding!
A crisp sound suddenly echoed inside Kazama’s mind.
At the moment, Kazama was dressed in a small T-shirt and shorts as he jogged through Konoha.
Residents who had gotten up early greeted the young master of the Kazama family as he passed.
The Kazama family had become well known throughout Konoha for its generosity.
Kazama himself usually behaved like a polite and well-mannered child, so the villagers were extremely fond of him.
On top of that, both of his parents had died when he was very young.
That only made him seem even more endearing in the eyes of many villagers and naturally drew their sympathy.
Kazama greeted everyone along the way while politely refusing the various things they tried to give him.
Fruit.
Vegetables.
Breakfast.
All kinds of food were offered to him.
Only after reaching an area with fewer people and running for some distance did Kazama finally stop to rest.
He immediately focused on the Dragon Ball Wish System inside his mind.
That crisp sound just now had clearly come from the System.
Two lines of text appeared before him.
[Task 1: Defeat Might Guy and make him sincerely acknowledge his loss.] [Reward: 1 Level 1 Wish Power Fragment.] [Time Limit: Three days.] [Task 2: Display your talent for taijutsu and impress Might Duy.] [Reward: 1 Level 1 Wish Power Fragment.] [Time Limit: Three days.] [Note 1: Tasks are triggered randomly.
A maximum of three tasks may appear at one time.
If new tasks overwrite existing ones, the previous tasks will disappear.
A maximum of three tasks may be accepted simultaneously.] [Note 2: Collect seven Wish Power Fragments of the same level to combine them into one complete unit of Wish Power, which may then be used to make a wish.] “This crappy System actually has tasks?” Kazama stared at the information floating in his mind.
It looked almost like a plain text document—just a few rows of words.
It was unbelievably crude.
Originally, Kazama had assumed the System was basically just a computer program.
It had no System spirit or intelligent assistant like the more advanced systems in novels, so naturally he had assumed there wouldn’t be any missions or tasks either.
Who would have thought this thing actually had a task function?
“But these tasks are ridiculously easy.” Kazama frowned.
“And there doesn’t seem to be any punishment for failure…” He paused.
“Or did it just not bother telling me what the punishment is?” “What the hell kind of System is this?!” Kazama was speechless.
If this thing possessed true artificial intelligence and could actually explain its functions properly, life would be so much easier.
“Accept Task 1 and Task 2.” Kazama tried saying it mentally.
The two tasks immediately changed to Accepted, and the timers beside them began counting down.
“This crappy System had better not screw me over.” Kazama rubbed his chin.
“With my current taijutsu, beating Guy shouldn’t be difficult… right?” Kazama was noticeably taller than Guy, although not by an overwhelming amount.
After all, Guy had been training from an extremely young age, so his physical development was naturally better than that of an ordinary child.
Even so, Kazama had his recreated Six Powers along with perfect control over his body.
Defeating Guy shouldn’t be difficult.
As for impressing Might Duy… Kazama believed that simply demonstrating his extraordinary physical control might be enough.
“Tasks, huh…” After accepting both tasks, Kazama resumed running and chased after Might Duy and Might Guy ahead of him.
However— he ran for quite a while without seeing even a trace of them.
“What the… Where did they go?” Kazama was dumbfounded.
He eventually decided there was no point continuing forward and turned back.
Not long afterward, he saw Might Duy and Might Guy running toward him from the opposite direction.
Only then did Kazama realize what had happened.
Those two had already completed an entire lap.
Of course, they weren’t running around the whole of Konoha.
They were simply circling the nearby streets and buildings.
Guy was still too young.
Running an entire lap around Konoha at his age?
That would be brutal even for him.
“Ah!
It’s you two!” As Might Duy and Might Guy approached, Kazama put on a slightly surprised expression.
“You already finished a whole lap?
That’s impressive!” This was the simplest conversation starter Kazama could think of.
If the other party had been a girl, perhaps he would have bothered coming up with something smoother.
But these were two guys.
There was no need to overthink it.
Start a conversation.
Get acquainted.
Then find an opportunity to spar with Guy.
Defeat him.
Task 1 complete.
As for Task 2, after beating Guy, Kazama planned to ask Might Duy for advice on taijutsu and demonstrate his perfect control over his body.
That should be enough to impress him.
At least— that was how Kazama had written the script in his head.
“So it’s you, Young Master Kazama .” Kazama hadn’t appeared in public very often in the past.
But ever since he began training, he had started going outside to exercise and gradually became a familiar face around the village.
Most people already knew that the Kazama family had only one young heir remaining.
And because the Kazama family often helped villagers who were struggling financially, even Might Duy knew who Kazama was.
“Young Master Kazama has started training too?” Might Duy looked at the sweat covering Kazama and nodded approvingly.
“Yeah.
I’m planning to enter the Ninja Academy at the beginning of the year, so I thought I should start exercising beforehand,” Kazama replied.
“What a coincidence!” Might Guy’s eyes immediately lit up.
“I’m going to the Ninja Academy next year too!” “Really?
That is a coincidence.” Kazama looked at Guy.
“My name is Kazama.
I’m four years old, and I was born on January 1st.” “I’m Might Guy!
I’m four too, and I was also born on January 1st!” Guy stared at Kazama excitedly.
He clearly hadn’t expected them to be the same age, much less born on the exact same day.
“We were actually born on the same day?” Kazama put on a convincingly surprised expression.
Naturally— he had known that from the beginning.
“I heard from Uncle Gen that you two train every day.” Kazama finally moved on to his real objective.
“Could I train with you sometimes?” That was the whole reason he had approached them.
First, he would get familiar with the two of them.
Once they became friends, finding an excuse to spar with Guy would be incredibly easy.
Besides, Kazama and Guy were exactly the same age.
Children naturally hated falling behind their peers.
Once Kazama surpassed Guy, there was no way someone with Guy’s personality would simply accept defeat.
He would definitely chase after Kazama relentlessly.
Poor little Guy.
At such a young age, he was already being schemed against by a four-year-old whose body contained the soul of a grown man.
“Of course you can!” Guy immediately answered, then turned to look at his father.
Might Duy was equally enthusiastic.
“You’re absolutely welcome!
Youth should be filled with passion and hard work!” He gave Kazama an approving look.
“I have high hopes for you, Young Master Kazama !” Ding!
[Might Duy has been impressed by your dedication to training despite your young age.] [Task 2: Impress Might Duy — Completed.] [Reward obtained: 1 Level 1 Wish Power Fragment.] Kazama froze.
For a moment, his mind went completely blank.
He had already planned out an entire “script.” He had imagined exactly how he would demonstrate his talent.
How he would ask Duy for guidance.
How he would amaze him with his control over his body.
And now— none of it mattered.
The task had somehow been completed just like that.
Kazama genuinely hadn’t expected it to be so easy.
Then again, perhaps only someone as straightforward and sincere as Might Duy could be impressed so quickly.
After all, Kazama was only four years old.
Both of his parents were dead.
He was the sole heir of an extremely wealthy family.
He possessed more money than he could possibly spend.
No one forced him to train.
No one supervised him.
Yet despite all that, he still got up every morning and trained diligently of his own accord.
For a four-year-old child— that truly was remarkable.
