Early in the morning, Yu put away the scroll in his hand before smacking his lips thoughtfully.
“No wonder Tobirama Senju became known as the fastest Ninja in the world back then.
This Ninjutsu is practically cheating!”
Mikoto carried breakfast over and placed it neatly on the table.
Hearing his words, she could not help laughing softly.
“Only someone like you would dare say that so casually.
Other Uchiha Clan Members probably wouldn’t even be able to learn it.”
As she spoke, suspicion gradually appeared on Mikoto’s face.
“By the way, why exactly did Lady Mito give you that scroll?”
Yu shook his head slowly.
“One reason is probably because I taught Nawaki how to survive on the battlefield.
As for the other reason…
even This Young Master isn’t too sure.”
He paused briefly before waving his hand dismissively.
“Forget it, let’s not talk about that for now.
You shouldn’t come with me later.
Things at the Police Force today are definitely going to become troublesome.”
Mikoto immediately frowned in dissatisfaction.
“Yu, don’t look down on me.”
Yu pressed his index and middle fingers together before lightly poking her forehead.
“I’m ordering you, in my capacity as Deputy Chief of the Police Force, to stay home and rest properly today.”
“You!”
Mikoto’s face instantly flushed red in anger.
She puffed up her cheeks and turned her head away unhappily.
In the end, however, she still obediently stayed behind and did not follow him to the Police Force headquarters.
Yu leisurely strolled through the streets while whistling casually.
Following behind him were his three trusted subordinates: Kyoyan, Retsuga, and Shota.
The four had only just arrived at the entrance of the Police Force Building when they discovered the entire area already packed with villagers.
Countless people were gathered there noisily discussing something.
Yu crossed his arms and quietly watched the Uchiha Clan Member bowing and apologizing to the crowd nearby.
“Who is that guy?
This Young Master doesn’t remember him.”
Retsuga looked over disdainfully.
“That guy is Uchiha Homura.
His name contains the word ‘Flame,’ yet he insists on joining the Dove Faction.
What a complete contradiction.”
Although they belonged to the same clan, Retsuga genuinely despised such spineless behavior.
Yu yawned lazily.
“This farce has gone on long enough.”
The moment those words fell, Retsuga immediately grinned fiercely before stepping forward.
“Quiet!”
The sudden roar instantly silenced the chaotic crowd.
Retsuga directly grabbed two villagers blocking the entrance, one in each hand, before tossing them aside like sacks of garbage and striding straight toward the villager who had been shouting the loudest.
“You’ve got quite the courage, gathering a crowd here to make trouble at the Police Force.”
The man’s expression instantly changed.
That accusation was no joke.
Just as he was about to hurriedly explain himself, Retsuga suddenly grabbed him by the collar with a vicious grin.
“My eyes aren’t blind.”
“What are you doing?!
What exactly do you Uchiha think you’re doing?!
You’re police officers!
Is this how you treat the villagers?!
I’m going straight to the Hokage Building to report all of you!”
The surrounding villagers immediately began shouting in support, trying to pressure them through sheer numbers.
Yu calmly pointed toward the few people who had been leading the disturbance.
“Arrest all of them.”
“Yes!”
Kyoyan and Shota moved instantly.
The few ringleaders who had been shouting the loudest earlier were immediately subdued and pinned down.
Seeing this, Uchiha Homura became anxious and hurriedly stepped forward.
“Yu…”
Yu coldly glanced at him.
“As an Uchiha Clan Member, you’re letting outsiders point fingers at you like this?
Aren’t you embarrassed?
Not only are you humiliating yourself, you’re disgracing the entire Uchiha Clan.
Tell me, are you even worthy of carrying the Uchiha name?”
With every sentence Yu spoke, Homura lowered his head further until he no longer dared say another word.
Yu then slowly swept his gaze across the surrounding villagers whose expressions had changed drastically.
“What?
Do you all intend to gather a crowd and openly cause trouble at the Police Force?”
The moment those words were spoken, the villagers instantly scattered in panic.
Nobody wanted to bear such a charge.
Yu slowly walked over to the villager who had shouted the loudest earlier and revealed a sinister smile.
“You’ve got some nerve.
To openly spit in the face of the Uchiha…
you’re truly quite bold.”
“I…
I…”
The villager panicked completely.
Unfortunately for him, Retsuga had already clamped a hand over his mouth, preventing him from speaking at all.
Yu waved his hand casually.
“Throw him into prison.
The others too.”
“Yes!”
“Yu!”
Homura became anxious once more and hurriedly raised his head, but before he could continue speaking, Yu’s icy gaze immediately silenced him.
“Know your place.
Right now, This Young Master is in charge here.”
Inside the conference room, Yu calmly flipped through the documents in his hands.
Below him sat ten captains from the Police Force.
Not a single one of them spoke first.
Instead, they exchanged silent glances with one another.
Everyone present could clearly tell that Uchiha Yu had come today intending to completely shake things up.
This matter absolutely could not be handled carelessly.
Yu finally closed the documents before sweeping his cold gaze across everyone present.
“So today’s issue is actually very simple.
Villagers came demanding that the Police Force help them search for missing chickens and ducks?”
Nobody answered.
In the end, Uchiha Homura slowly stood up.
“That is indeed what happened.
Protecting and helping villagers is also part of the Police Force’s responsibilities.”
Yu immediately let out a cold snort.
“If they lost chickens and ducks, why didn’t they go to the Mission Assignment Department and issue a mission request?
Why come here instead?
Do they not understand what this place actually exists for?”
Yu’s voice gradually became colder.
“This is the Police Force.”
Bang!
Yu slammed his palm heavily onto the table.
“The duty of the Police Force is to maintain the Village’s security, apprehend criminals, and enforce laws.
This is not some daycare center for finding lost cats and dogs.”
Roughly half of the people present lowered their heads awkwardly.
These people all belonged to the Dove Faction.
They advocated getting closer to ordinary villagers and completely integrating the Uchiha into Konoha society.
As for the other half who kept their heads raised, they belonged to the Hawk Faction.
These people had long since become disgusted with the Dove Faction’s behavior.
If not for belonging to the same clan, they probably would have started fighting long ago.
Yu slowly took a deep breath.
“Starting tomorrow, the Police Force will no longer handle these ridiculous matters.
Anyone with such requests can go directly to the Mission Assignment Department.”
Homura’s expression immediately changed.
“Yu, you can’t make decisions like this.
If this continues, the villagers might riot outside the Police Force.”
“Hahahahaha!”
Before Yu could even respond, Uchiha Gen burst out laughing loudly.
“Riot at the Police Force?
That’s only because you spineless people allowed them to become so arrogant.
I’ve already been sick of those people for a long time.
Now that the Deputy Chief has spoken, if they dare come here and cause trouble again, then I’ll personally arrest them all.”
Homura still wanted to continue arguing, but a single glance from Yu instantly shut him up.
“That’s enough.”
Yu coldly looked across the room.
“If they want to complain, then let them complain.
Even if this matter reaches the Hokage Building, This Young Master will still say the exact same thing.”
Yu then narrowed his eyes slightly.
“And one more thing.”
“The Clan Head entrusted the Police Force to me, and I refuse to disappoint him.
Starting today, the Police Force will operate according to This Young Master’s rules.
If you’re dissatisfied, keep it to yourselves.
If you can do the job, then stay.
If not, get out.”
“The Police Force has no need for useless trash.”
The expressions of several people present instantly darkened.
“Kid, don’t you think you’re becoming too arrogant?”
Yu sneered openly at them.
“Not convinced?
Fine.
Then follow the Uchiha Clan’s rules.
Whoever has the strongest fists gets to speak.”
Half an hour later, at the Police Force training grounds, Yu looked disdainfully at the ten people lying sprawled across the ground.
“As expected of people who got their positions through connections.
Your strength isn’t even worth mentioning.”
The ten people lying on the ground all wore ugly expressions, yet none of them could say anything in response.
Five Special Jonin and five Jonin had all been defeated by a single twelve-year-old child.
Today’s humiliation was simply too great.
Yu turned around and walked away leisurely.
“From now on, the Police Force follows This Young Master’s rules.
If anyone is unhappy, you’re welcome to continue challenging me at any time.”
“Oh, and let me make one thing clear.”
“If anyone dares violate the rules This Young Master has established, I absolutely will not show mercy.”
Meanwhile, inside the Hokage Office, Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned deeply while reading the intelligence report in his hands.
Everything that had happened at the Police Force earlier during the day had already been delivered to his desk in full detail.
“Lady Mito personally gave him a scroll?”
Hiruzen slowly narrowed his eyes.
“Why exactly would she do that?”
He slowly set down the report before lighting his pipe again.
“And what exactly did that kid mean by those words today?
Does he intend to reorganize the Police Force completely?
Does he want to unite the entire Uchiha Clan into a single force?”
As Hiruzen continued thinking, the expression on his face gradually became more serious.
“And after that…
what exactly does he plan to do next?”
