Kamiki shrugged.
“Not happening.” Konohamaru froze for a second.
This guy had clearly been startled by his identity as the Hokage’s grandson just a moment ago.
Why was he refusing to teach him now?
“Why not?” Konohamaru asked, bewildered.
“Because you’re an annoying kid, and I don’t feel like teaching you,” Kamiki said, spreading his hands.
He wasn’t afraid of offending the Hokage’s grandson in the slightest.
The Third Hokage was not the petty type to abuse his authority over a trivial matter like this.
Besides, this kid was genuinely a handful!
Hearing that answer, Konohamaru’s eyes lit up instead.
I finally found him!
Someone who isn’t intimidated by my background!
Konohamaru did a complete about-face, bowing deeply to Kamiki with absolute sincerity.
“Please, you have to teach me!
I must defeat the old man, prove who I am, and become the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf!” Kamiki was curious about why the brat had suddenly turned so obedient, so he asked, “Why are you so obsessed with beating the Hokage?” Konohamaru began to spill his heart out.
“My grandfather gave me the name Konohamaru, taken straight from this village.” “Yet whenever people address me, nobody ever uses that name.
Everyone only sees me as the ‘Honorable Grandson.’ No one acknowledges me for who I actually am.” “That’s why I have to beat the old man and take the title of Hokage for myself!” Kamiki thought it over for a brief moment.
“You really are terribly naive, kid.” Then again, realizing Konohamaru was probably only six or seven years old, Kamiki let it go.
It made sense for a kid that age.
“So, are you willing to teach me a jutsu that can beat the old man now?” Konohamaru switched tracks, looking at Kamiki with starry, expectant eyes.
“Nope.” Kamiki flatly refused again.
He had no idea how to beat the Hokage either.
Besides, dealing with little kids was the absolute biggest drag!
“As long as you teach me, I’ll call you Big Brother!” Konohamaru gritted his teeth, playing his card.
Kamiki paused.
Hiss…
Taking on a lackey…
to a former elementary schooler like him, the temptation was pretty huge!
Who wouldn’t want the Hokage’s grandson as their little follower?
Seeing Kamiki waver, Konohamaru struck while the iron was hot.
“If you’re willing to teach me, I’ll hand over all my snack allowances to you from now on!” Kamiki beamed.
“Deal!
Little brother, what do you want to learn?” “Awesome!” Konohamaru pumped his little fist in excitement.
He had secured an older boss!
Learning a god-tier jutsu and taking down the old man was practically within reach!
An open clearing outside the village.
Kamiki used his teleportation jutsu to bring Konohamaru straight here.
“Big Brother Kamiki!
That jutsu that went whoosh and warped me here instantly—how did you do that?!
I want to learn that one!” Konohamaru gasped, thrilled, the moment they landed in the clearing.
“Weren’t you trying to defeat the Hokage?
A teleportation jutsu alone won’t cut it.
You need a devastating offensive technique!” Kamiki lectured like a proper mentor.
Konohamaru felt his new big brother made complete sense and nodded along vigorously.
“Then what should I learn?” Kamiki rubbed his chin in thought.
Teach him Wood Release?
Yamato-sensei had strictly forbidden him from revealing Wood Release to anyone.
Plus, Wood Release required a specific genetic limit.
Then…
how about the Wind Release Shuriken?
Kamiki had an epiphany.
The Wind Release Shuriken packed serious punch.
If Konohamaru pulled off a sneak attack on the Third from behind, it might actually do the trick!
Meanwhile, inside the Hokage’s office, the old Third suddenly shivered!
Ebisu, kneeling respectfully before the desk, spoke up: “Lord Hokage, the weather is turning chilly.
You should put on an extra layer.” The Third waved a hand.
“I’m fine.
I just felt a sudden cold chill run down my spine.” As Konohamaru’s private elite tutor, Ebisu continued, “Lord Hokage, I looked all over and couldn’t find Young Master Konohamaru.
He is scheduled for his studies today.” “I haven’t seen the little guy in a while either.
Hold on, let me check…” As he spoke, the Third turned to the crystal ball on his desk.
His Telescope Technique allowed him to view anything occurring within the village!
After scanning around, he finally spotted two tiny figures near the outskirts.
“Found him.
Why is Konohamaru hanging out with Kamiki?” The Third peered into the crystal ball in surprise.
In the projection, Kamiki appeared to be teaching Konohamaru something.
Yet looking at the two whispering and plotting together, the Third felt the chill down his back grow even colder.
“Kamiki?
You mean that dead-last war orphan, the red-haired boy who always hangs around the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox?” Ebisu asked.
“Yes,” the Third Hokage nodded, his voice dropping into a stern reprimand.
“Haven’t I told you never to bring up the Nine-Tails incident again?” “Furthermore, they are children, the future of the Hidden Leaf.
That cold, hateful look in your eyes will only hurt them.” Noticing that the Hokage was genuinely furious, Ebisu bowed low to apologize.
“This subordinate will etch your teachings into his heart!” “As an instructor, you must never view your students through a biased lens,” the Third added.
“That will do.
You may step down!” Ebisu nodded repeatedly and backed out of the office.
Once outside in the corridor, Ebisu wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, lingering fear gripping his chest.
As expected of the Hokage—that sheer aura of authority was heavier than anyone else’s!
Then, anger flashed behind Ebisu’s dark sunglasses.
Curse that dead-last brat!
Dragging Young Master Konohamaru all the way out there!
I can’t let Young Master stay around him, or he’ll be ruined!
Muttering under his breath, Ebisu bolted toward the outskirts where Kamiki and Konohamaru were located.
Outside the village.
Kamiki effortlessly molded chakra into a spinning Rasengan in his palm, presenting it to Konohamaru.
“Big Brother, are you trying to fool me?
That’s just an ordinary little chakra ball.
It doesn’t look like it hurts at all,” Konohamaru said, pouting, clearly underwhelmed.
Kamiki didn’t say a word.
He quietly injected Wind Release chakra straight into the sphere…
As the wind nature combined with the shape transformation, the Wind Release Shuriken was born!
Konohamaru stared wide-eyed at the massive Wind Release Shuriken spinning furiously in Kamiki’s palm.
Just feeling the raw pressure pulsing off the blades was enough to terrify anyone!
“This looks way stronger than the last one!” Konohamaru’s eyes gleamed with wild excitement.
“Big Brother!
Can I see what it does?!” Kamiki nodded, happy to indulge the little guy.
With a sharp whoosh, the jutsu left Kamiki’s hand!
The colossal shuriken of wind chakra ripped through the air, streaking toward a distant forest outside the village.
Having learned his lesson from last time, Kamiki threw it exceptionally far away.
The next second.
The high-speed projectile slammed into the earth!
BOOM!!!
The compressed wind chakra detonated violently!
A massive crater, two to three hundred meters wide, was blasted open in an instant!
Every needle-like thread of wind chakra acted like a microscopic blade, shredding everything in its path to absolute dust!
Konohamaru’s jaw dropped to the dirt.
Holy crap!!
So cool!
What kind of terrifying destructive power is that?!
