In an instant, Qiyu understood why he had been unable to learn techniques like the Clone Technique and the Shadow Clone Technique before.

It was not because he was too stupid, nor was it because the system could not convert them.

At the time, he simply had not possessed spiritual sense.Full novel: Naruto: The Uchiha’s New God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After all, an external incarnation in Daoist cultivation was closely tied to the mind and spiritual sense.

Without sufficient mental strength, attempting to split off an external incarnation could easily fracture one’s mind.

Without spiritual sense, the incarnation would have no way to remain connected to the original body.

One careless mistake, and the so-called incarnation might become an entirely separate person.

Moreover, an external incarnation could not be conjured from nothing with spiritual energy alone.

It required a ritual implement or spiritual treasure to serve as its vessel.

The higher the quality of the vessel, the greater the strength the incarnation could bear.

Qiyu’s five low-grade ritual implements were perfectly suited for this purpose.

For now, each incarnation could only possess thirty percent of his strength.

Even so, Qiyu’s external incarnations were nothing like the flimsy Shadow Clones that vanished after a single hit.

External incarnations could study and cultivate independently.

They also functioned as auxiliary brains for Qiyu.

As long as they remained connected through his spiritual sense, he could divide his attention into six streams at any time and perform six different tasks simultaneously.

It was also an excellent method for tempering both his mind and spiritual sense.

Their offensive ability was nothing to scoff at either.

With their spiritual senses connected, if the incarnations could not defeat an opponent in human form, they could simply revert to their magical-treasure forms.

What did that mean?

It meant that Qiyu could remain seated at home while hunting an enemy thousands of miles away.

By transmitting spiritual energy through his spiritual sense, he could unleash the spiritual treasures’ original power and take an enemy’s head from an immense distance.

After fully understanding the abilities of External Incarnation, Qiyu upgraded it to the Ordinary level without hesitation.

He immediately summoned the Five Emperor Swords and branded each one with his spiritual sense.

His hands formed a series of seals.

The spiritual energy within his body surged rapidly and poured into the five long swords.

Gradually, halos of light radiated from their blades.

Five figures identical to Qiyu appeared before him.

The moment his consciousness connected with them, their previously vacant expressions came alive.

There were no ridiculous greetings such as addressing him as the “original body.”

Qiyu simply felt as though his thoughts had been divided into six branches.

All five figures were still him.

The only difference was that his true body carried the primary consciousness.

In truth, his mind had not actually been separated.

His spiritual sense bound everything together tightly, like five additional limbs extending from a single body.

Every movement and action of the incarnations could be transmitted to his primary consciousness through those five extensions at any moment.

Furthermore, the connection was one-sided.

Qiyu could sever it whenever he wished.

Creating an incarnation with truly independent consciousness was far beyond the reach of a cultivator who had yet to transcend the mortal realm.

Even if he somehow managed it, such an incarnation would be impossible to control.

As for the Shadow Clone Technique of this world, the user only received the clone’s memories after it dispersed.

In the cultivation world, such a method would be extraordinarily dangerous.

If a demonic cultivator skilled in curses encountered one of those clones, they could use it as a medium to place a curse on the caster.

The moment the clone dispersed and its memories returned, the curse could follow the connection and kill the original body.

After all, the caster could not sever that connection voluntarily.

Worse still, before the clone dispersed—or unless the original deliberately observed it—the caster remained completely unaware of what the clone was doing.

Such an uncontrollable clone technique could only be used so recklessly in a world without Daoist arts.

Try using a technique like that in the cultivation world, and one would likely die before even realizing what had happened.

At that thought, a sinister smile tugged at Qiyu’s lips.

Such methods were not exclusive to the demonic path.

Orthodox cultivators possessed them as well.

Techniques capable of imprisoning and cursing a person’s soul were not mainstream, but they certainly existed.

“Heh.

Once I master a technique like that, those people who send Shadow Clones wandering everywhere are going to have a wonderful time.”

However, he first needed to find a way to obtain Konoha’s Scroll of Seals.

Without the ninjutsu of this world serving as a foundation, Qiyu could not learn Daoist arts out of thin air.

Whether it was sealing techniques, ninjutsu of the five basic chakra natures, or the space-time technique Flying Thunder God, everything recorded within Konoha’s Scroll of Seals was something Qiyu urgently needed.

“Maybe I should find a way to kill that old bastard, the Third, and push Father into the Hokage’s seat.

I could even take the position myself…

Forget it.

There’s no point thinking about that now.”

Qiyu cast aside the thoughts swirling through his mind and quietly resumed his cultivation.

Inside the Hokage Building, Hiruzen Sarutobi studied the document Fugaku had handed him.

After flipping through several pages, his expression gradually darkened.

“Fugaku, are these the Uchiha clan’s demands?”

“Yes, Lord Third.

The clansmen are furious about being forced to leave our current compound.

This proposal was reached only after extensive discussion.”

Fugaku answered without the slightest change in expression.

“I see.

You may return for now.

I need to discuss this matter with the council.

You will have your answer tomorrow.”

A trace of displeasure entered the Third Hokage’s voice.

“Yes, Lord Third.”

With that, Fugaku turned and left the Hokage Building.

Not long afterward, Danzo Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado entered the office.

Once everyone had arrived, Hiruzen tapped the ash from his pipe and passed the document to them.

“Take a look.

These are the Uchiha clan’s demands.”

As Danzo read through the document, his expression grew darker and darker.

“Hmph!

The Uchiha truly are an ungrateful pack of wolves.

They actually expect the village to compensate them for the relocation according to current market prices.

Impossible!”

“The situation along the Land of Lightning border is becoming more severe by the day.

The village is already short on funds.

Their demands are nothing but delusional nonsense!”

Danzo slammed the document onto the Third Hokage’s desk, his voice sharp and biting.

“That is enough, Danzo.

Now is not the time to lose your temper.”

“I called all of you here to find a solution.

Judging from Fugaku’s attitude, this decision likely has the support of the entire Uchiha clan.

If we refuse, the Uchiha will undoubtedly make trouble for the village.”

Hiruzen’s brows knitted tightly.

His tone carried undisguised dissatisfaction at the Uchiha clan’s refusal to consider the village’s broader interests.

“Then let them make trouble!”

Danzo’s eyes flashed with disdain.

“With nothing but the elderly, the weak, and the wounded left in their compound, what right do they have to negotiate with the village?”

“Danzo, if we provoke the Uchiha now, do you want the number of shinobi at the border to plummet?”

Hiruzen rebuked him harshly for speaking without thinking.

“Do not forget that the village is still at war.

If the Uchiha withdraw from the front lines or deliberately neglect their duties because of this relocation, who will defend the Land of Lightning border?”

Danzo’s expression became even more sullen, but he did not refute Hiruzen.

Of Konoha’s Three Sannin, one had defected and another had wandered away.

Jiraiya was the only one still in Konoha, and even his thoughts had already begun to drift elsewhere.

Had the conflict on the Land of Lightning border not kept him occupied, no one knew where he might have run off to gather material.

“Then what do you suggest?”

Danzo retorted stubbornly.

Hiruzen fell silent.

He continued drawing deeply from his pipe, smoke curling through the office as the others waited.

At last, Koharu stepped forward.

“Why not agree to their demands for now?”

“We can always change the arrangement midway through the relocation.”

The others’ eyes lit up.
