A few days later, early morning.

The Ninja Academy training ground.

Might Guy stood in the center of the field, wearing his faded green jumpsuit.Full novel: Naruto: Transmigrated as Might Guy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Duy stood at the edge of the field, fists clenched, trembling with nervousness.

“Guy!

You can do it!

Dad is watching you!” His booming voice echoed across the training ground.

Across from him, a middle-aged man with long silver hair walked over slowly.

Sakumo Hatake.

The White Fang of Konoha.

He was dressed the same as before, his gaze gentle.

“Might Guy.” He stopped and looked down at the six-year-old boy before him.

“You look like you’ve gotten stronger.” Guy looked up at him: “White Fang, please guide me.” Sakumo nodded.

“The evaluation has three parts.

Basic taijutsu, ten-kick combo target, and sparring.” He paused, looking at Might Guy.

“Are you ready?” Guy took a deep breath.

“Ready.” First part: Basic taijutsu.

“Front snap kicks, one thousand times.

Begin.” Guy walked up to the wooden post.

He raised his leg.

Kicked.

One.

Two.

Three.

His form was flawless, as if measured with a ruler.

Back straight, leg locked, toes hooked back, landing steady.

One hundred.

Three hundred.

Five hundred.

Sakumo stood to the side, watching quietly.

Eight hundred.

One thousand.

Guy lowered his leg and stood still.

A light sheen of sweat on his forehead, but his breathing was steady.

Sakumo nodded.

“Your form is excellent.

Much better than your father’s back then.” At the edge of the field, Duy’s eyes reddened: “White Fang!” Sakumo ignored him.

“Second part: ten-kick combo target.” Three chunin carried in a wooden target about half the height of a person.

Standard training model, solid wood, wrapped in rope on the outside.

Guy walked over.

He recognized this kind of target.

When he practiced his kicks before, this kind of target could withstand hundreds of hits.

But that was before.

He took a deep breath.

Raised his leg.

Bam!

First kick.

The wooden target shook violently.

Several strands of outer rope snapped.

Sakumo raised an eyebrow.

Guy’s second kick was already flying— Bam!!

Crack— The wooden target split down the middle.

Wood chips flew everywhere.

“Stop!” The examiner beside him called out urgently.

“That’s enough, that’s enough!

The target is broken!” Guy lowered his leg, a little confused.

“…I only kicked twice.” The examiner looked at the wooden target split in two, his mouth twitching: “Yes.

Twice is enough.” At the edge of the field, Duy jumped up in excitement.

“Guy!!!

That was amazing!!!

This is the power of youth!!!” Sakumo glanced at Duy, then back at Might Guy.

There was something new in his eyes.

“Third part,” he said.

“Sparring.” Guy blinked: “Against who?” “Me.” Sakumo unstrapped the short blade from his shoulder and handed it to the examiner beside him.

“Don’t worry.

I’ll fight at genin level.” He rolled his wrist.

“Give it everything you’ve got.” Guy swallowed hard.

Fighting the White Fang of Konoha.

Even if it was Sakumo at genin level, he was still the White Fang.

He dropped into his opening stance.

Sakumo nodded: “Come.” Guy charged forward.

He knew no ninjutsu, no genjutsu.

He only knew two things— Kicks and jabs.

“Then kick and jab.” First kick: Vajra Leg, sweeping toward Sakumo’s shin.

Sakumo sidestepped.

Second kick followed immediately.

Still Vajra Leg, this time a forward thrust kick.

Sakumo stepped back.

Guy landed, and his right hand shot out with two fingers, straight for Sakumo’s shoulder.

Sakumo’s eyes flickered.

He raised his arm to block.

Thump.

The fingers struck his forearm.

Sakumo felt his arm go numb.

He was surprised.

This child’s finger strength was far greater than it appeared.

Guy gave him no time to think.

Kick, jab, kick, jab.

He knew nothing else.

Just these two moves.

But combined, he had practiced them two hundred thousand times!

Every kick split the air.

Every jab struck with force.

Sakumo stepped back.

And back again.

The third time he stepped back, he realized he had been pushed to the edge of the training ground.

Guy’s right hand shot toward his wrist.

Vajra Finger’s grasping force!

Sakumo’s wrist was caught.

For a moment, he could not break free.

At the same time, Guy’s leg swept toward his supporting leg.

“LEAF HURRICANE!” Whoosh!

Sakumo’s eyes lit up.

Bam!

Smoke burst out.

Substitution Technique.

A wooden log fell to the ground, smashed to pieces by Might Guy’s kick.

Guy lowered his leg and stood still, breathing hard.

Sakumo stood three meters away, dusted with wood chips.

He looked at Guy, and a smile slowly crept across his face.

“Enough.” The evaluation was paused.

Sakumo walked over to the examiner and said a few words in a low voice.

The examiner nodded and left.

Guy stood there, unsure of what to do.

Duy ran over and wrapped his arms around him.

“Guy!!!

You were incredible!!!

You forced the White Fang to use Substitution Technique!!!” Guy could barely breathe from the squeeze: “Dad…

let go…

the White Fang is watching…” Duy quickly let go and stepped aside, not knowing where to put his hands.

After a moment, a figure walked in from outside the training ground.

Pipe in mouth, wearing the Hokage’s straw hat.

The Third Hokage.

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Might Guy blinked.

The Third walked up beside Sakumo.

“How was it?” Sakumo looked at Might Guy and spoke slowly.

“Chakra control is practically zero.” Duy’s face went pale.

“Ninjutsu aptitude is very poor.” Duy’s hands began to shake.

“Genjutsu resistance unknown.

We didn’t test that today.” Duy’s eyes were already swimming with tears.

Sakumo paused.

“But the strength of his taijutsu—” He looked at Might Guy, his gaze serious.

“It is already at genin level.” Duy froze.

Tears still on his face, mouth hanging open, not knowing whether to cry or laugh.

The Third took a drag from his pipe.

“Sakumo, what is your conclusion?” Sakumo smiled.

It was a gentle smile, completely different from the sharp intensity during the evaluation.

“Lord Third, let him enroll.” He said.

“Konoha needs children like him.” The Third nodded.

“Good.” He looked at Guy, his eyes filled with approval.

“Might Guy, expect the notice tomorrow.” With that, he turned and left.

Sakumo picked up his short blade, walked over to Guy, and crouched down.

“Back when your father was on my team, he was the weakest one.” Guy looked at him.

“But he never gave up.” Sakumo patted his shoulder.

“You have more talent than he did.

Train hard.” He stood up, turned, and walked away.

After two steps, he looked back.

“Oh, and that move, Leaf Hurricane…

did your father teach you that?” Might Guy nodded.

Sakumo smiled.

“That kick was very well done.” He left.

Might Guy stood there, his mind a little blank.

Then— “GUY!!!!!” Duy rushed over, scooped him up, and spun him around on the spot.

“We did it!!!

We did it!!!

You’re going to school!!!

The Ninja Academy!!!” Tears and snot were streaming down his face again, smearing all over Guy.

“Dad…

let go…” “NO!!!

Today is the happiest day of Dad’s life!!!” Guy rolled his eyes in resignation.

The next day.

In front of the Ninja Academy bulletin board.

A group of children crowded around, looking at the newly posted supplementary admission list.

“Furuhashi…

Togakushi…

and…” Guy stood outside the crowd, not pushing his way in.

Duy had already squeezed through.

Then a loud roar erupted from the crowd: “MIGHT GUY!!!!

Guy, your name is on here!!!

IT’S ON HERE!!!” Duy burst out, grabbed Guy, and hugged him.

Even though they had already heard the news yesterday.

He was still overwhelmed with emotion.

Crying uncontrollably.

“Guy!!!

We did it!!!

WE DID IT!!!” Everyone around was staring.

Guy’s face turned a little red.

“Let go first…

so many people…” “NO!!!

Dad is too happy!!!” [System Notice: Main Quest – Admission Evaluation, complete.] [Obtained: Monk Points +100] [Obtained: Random Basic Gift Pack ×1] [Open gift pack?] “Open.” [Obtained: School Uniform · Youth Edition (Green) ×1] [Stats: Defense +5, Durability +100%, Resistant to wear and tear.] Guy looked at the bright green school uniform sitting in his system inventory.

…Was there any difference from what he was wearing now?

Maybe it was a little greener?

Oh well.

It was green either way.

Duy finally let him go, wiping away tears and snot, raising his thumb and flashing his teeth.

“Guy!

To celebrate, I have decided!

We are training extra today!” Guy blinked.

“Extra training?” Duy’s eyes blazed with intensity.

“Youth is all about burning even brighter when you celebrate!!!” Guy was silent for three seconds.

Then he smiled.

He raised his thumb and flashed his teeth.

“Okay!” One big green figure and one small green figure stood before the bulletin board and high-fived again.

Slap!

Then they ran side by side toward the back mountain.

Sunlight poured down on them, their green jumpsuits gleaming.

Behind them, on the bulletin board.

The name “Might Guy” sat quietly on the list.

His path as a shinobi officially began today.
