Fu Shi left in a hurry, but Nan Yin wasn’t angry. Instead, she licked her red lips, which still carried the strong scent left by the man’s rough fingers.

It tasted good.

Nan Yin curled her red lips as she watched Fu Shi’s retreating figure disappear, then lowered her head to continue her meal.Full novel: Nightly Seduction, The Rugged Man’s Wild and Lustful Little Tease — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Tonight’s dinner wasn’t wasted.

Fu Shi might appear strong and aloof, but a little teasing was all it took to unsettle him?

Nan Yin suddenly felt she still had a chance.

At the very least, this man didn’t reject her advances. Once her design drafts were approved, she would have plenty of opportunities to slowly wear him down. She refused to believe she couldn’t pluck this rugged flower from the high peaks.

Meanwhile, Fu Shi stepped out of the restaurant. The warm breeze from the bay swept over him, instantly sending waves of tingling numbness across his cheeks.

He suppressed the turbulent undercurrents in his eyes with a heavy sigh.

Turning around, he headed toward his car.

Just as he reached the vehicle, the noisy Mò Shíyùn called: “Brother Fu, having fun? Where are you hanging out?”

Fu Shi pressed the car key, opened the door, and got in. “Just had dinner at a restaurant. What’s up?”

Mò Shíyùn twirled a glass of red wine by the table’s edge, a sly smile playing on his lips. “Something’s up. Did you see the group chat?”

The group chat?

Fu Shi hadn’t had time to check. He’d been busy dealing with Nan Yin.

He hadn’t glanced at the group chat at all.

“What happened in the group?”

Hearing this, Mò Shíyùn chuckled softly. “Seems like you’ve been too busy to look.”

“Is my sister-in-law with you?”

Sister-in-law—Fu Shi’s handsome face froze for a moment before he realized what was happening. Still on the call, he swiped open his phone screen and navigated to their elite group chat.

One look, and his expression darkened.

Damn, he’d been caught on camera.

Fu Shi pressed his tongue against his teeth, breathing heavily as he replied to Mò Shíyùn, “It’s a misunderstanding.”

“She choked on a fishbone while eating fish.”

Explaining was just covering up.

Mò Shíyùn wasn’t some innocent high school boy—didn’t he understand these little twists and turns?

He chuckled again. “So you used your own fingers to help the young lady remove the fishbone?”

“Instead of asking a waitress for help?”

“Brother, what kind of act are you putting on here?”

“No act,” Fu Shi pressed the ignition button. “What’s with all the nonsense?”

Mò Shíyùn was just happy he’d finally found someone and wanted to check in. “How is this nonsense?”

“My good buddy’s in a relationship. Shouldn’t I show some concern?”

“I just didn’t expect you to choose Nan Yin. Wasn’t that girl in the capital? She became a big designer and suddenly came back to find you?”

“When did you two get together? I wasn’t mentally prepared at all.” Mò Shíyùn couldn’t keep his mouth shut.

Fu Shi felt his ears were about to explode. “There’s nothing between us.”

“We just happened to run into each other and had a meal.”

“Don’t talk nonsense.”

Mò Shíyùn raised an eyebrow. “Really? Just a simple meal?”

Fu Shi scoffed, rolled down the car window with one hand, took a cigarette from the compartment, placed it between his lips, lit it, and blew a smoke ring outside the car. “Yeah.”

“Just a simple meal. No connection.”

“That’s all for now. I have things to do.”

Mò Shíyùn still wanted to gossip, but the other end hung up first. Mò Shíyùn yelled “Hey, hey, hey!” into the busy tone several times before helplessly tossing his phone aside. He picked up his wine glass, took a small sip, and then sneered: “Just a simple meal—no connection—”

Tsk tsk tsk, why didn’t he see him simply inviting other female classmates from high school for a meal?

There’s definitely something fishy going on here.

Mò Shíyùn suddenly found this matter quite interesting. His family’s proud and cold iceberg of a man, Brother Fu, had encountered a charming little fox who had returned to the city. He was probably going to fall for it.

In those photos posted in the group chat today, Nan Yin biting his finger, her eyes shimmering with that coquettish charm.

Even he, an outsider, felt restless all over just looking at it.

Let alone Brother Fu who was there on the scene.

So, finally, there was a bold fox daring enough to pull his Brother Fu down from his pedestal.

Not bad, not bad.

There would really be some good drama to watch with his Brother Fu from now on.

Mò Shíyùn twirled a glass between his fingertips, the more he thought about it, the more amusing it became. He leaned lazily against the sofa, letting out a low, magnetic chuckle.

Parking lot.

Fu Shi smoked in the car for a while, glancing at the woman still leisurely and elegantly eating in the restaurant. Looking at the sky, he worried it might not be safe for her to return alone.

In the end, his mind went blank, and he called his assistant Qin Deng.

He asked him to come to the restaurant to pick up Nan Yin and take her back to the apartment.

After making the call, the man smoked in the car while waiting. Wisps of faint smoke escaped his lips, exuding an indescribable sensuality. He was indeed strikingly handsome.

Unfortunately, his personality was too cold and rigid. Most girls who pursued him ended up scared off by his attitude, too afraid to continue.

So sometimes, when he was alone, he would think that he might never find true love in this lifetime.

He never expected Nan Yin to come back.

This little enchantress was indeed different from other women.

She was never afraid of him, nor did she find him difficult to get along with.

And she flirted with him in all sorts of ways.

Teasing him until his heart itched…

Fu Shi pursed his thin lips, gently rubbing his fingertips. There were faint traces of red lipstick on them—hers.

Soft.

He didn’t dare to recall the feeling of his fingertips lingering on her lips; it would stir restlessness in his chest.

Releasing his fingertips, he took a deep breath.

Struggling to suppress the inexplicable restlessness that had already begun to stir within him, he took a sharp drag of his cigarette and continued to wait. While waiting, Grandmother called, crying and making a fuss, insisting he return to the old mansion.

Fu Shi had a headache from her antics and had no choice but to agree.

Hanging up the phone, he extinguished the crimson cigarette butt and rubbed his temples as he waited in the parking lot. From his angle, he could clearly see what was happening inside the restaurant.

It also allowed him to prevent any accidents from happening to her.

After waiting for 15 minutes, Qin Deng hurried over, quickly walking to Fu Shi’s car and saying, “Mr. Fu, you asked me to pick up Miss Nan?”

Fu Shi lifted his chin, pointing toward the beautiful woman leisurely enjoying her exquisite dinner inside the glass window. “Yes, take her back.”

“I need to return to the old mansion.”

“My grandmother is making a fuss again.”

Qin Deng was a bit surprised and followed Fu Shi’s gaze toward the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling window. As soon as he looked, his eyelids twitched. Damn.

Wasn’t this Miss Nan the same beautiful girl who had stained his Mr. Fu’s clothes last time?

Were they secretly in contact?

Qin Deng instantly felt a surge of gossipy curiosity, but given his Mr. Fu’s aloofness, he didn’t dare to pry. He simply nodded obediently. “Yes, Mr. Fu.”

“I’ll make sure Miss Nan gets home safely.”

Fu Shi grunted in acknowledgment, rolled up the car window, and headed to the old mansion to see the ‘drama queen’ grandmother.

Luxurious restaurant.

After savoring the last bite of sweet cheese dessert, Nan Yin prepared to get up and head home. Just as she stood, Qin Deng approached.

The petite woman was momentarily stunned when she saw the familiar young man, her beautiful eyes widening in surprise.

Wasn’t this Fu Shi’s assistant?

What was he doing here?

Nan Yin stood up, slightly curious. “Assistant Qin?”

Qin Deng heard her calling him and nearly lost his soul. Well, Miss Nan was just too beautiful—no wonder his boss, Fu Shi, had secretly arranged to have dinner with her.

Could he no longer believe that his aloof, woman-averse CEO was truly immune to romance?

It seemed he, too, could “arrange to meet pretty girls”!

“Miss Nan, hello. I’m Assistant Qin, sent by Mr. Fu to take you home,” Qin Deng said politely, his words flowing smoothly. “The car is waiting outside.”

Arranged by Fu Shi?

Huh? That dog of a man—he actually arranged for someone to take her home? She thought he would just leave directly.

Unexpectedly, there was a bit of warmth to it.

“Has he left?” Nan Yin picked up her bag and followed Qin Deng outside.

Qin Deng replied with a smile, “Yes, Mr. Fu had to go to the old mansion.”

Oh, the old mansion?

Nan Yin’s heart trembled slightly again.

So, it seemed his earlier excuse about having something to do wasn’t just to brush her off?

He really did have business to attend to.

“Alright, thank you, Assistant Qin.” Having clarified things, Nan Yin felt a bit more at ease, her expression softening further.

Seeing this, Qin Deng’s heart skipped a beat, but he knew Miss Nan was likely his boss’s “type.” He dared not disrespect her—who knows, she might even become his future madam someday?

He had to take good care of her and not harbor any improper thoughts.

“You’re welcome, Miss Nan.”
