“A cat scratched my foot!”

The elevator doors closed, and the stray cat had been scared away, but Nan Yin was still somewhat shaken. Her pretty, soft fingers clung tightly to Fu Shi’s arm, her beautiful face genuinely frightened, her cheeks flushed with a layer of panicked crimson, like pickled peach blossoms, a deep, shy red.

And it was also a bit socially embarrassing.Full novel: Nightly Seduction, The Rugged Man’s Wild and Lustful Little Tease — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She had wanted to beautifully seduce Fu Shi.

But now she had fallen into his arms—and probably looked quite ungraceful doing so?

Nan Yin didn’t dare imagine it, afraid it might have been truly ugly.

However, this fear of looking bad only lingered in her mind for a few seconds before being replaced by the masculine hormones radiating from the man’s entire body.

Especially with her softness pressed against his firm, robust physique.

Her long-deprived body suddenly felt like a wildfire that couldn’t be extinguished.

Nan Yin looked up at the handsome man who was gazing at her with cold eyes and gently pursed her red lips. “Sorry.”

Her body was truly soft, as soft as a ball of cotton, mixed with the sweet fragrance on her, making the man who had also suppressed his desires for 25 years

somewhat unable to hold back.

“Alright, the cat’s gone.” Fu Shi suppressed his breathing, a subtle emotion of trying to cover up spreading in his chest.

But his self-control was strong.

He could endure it and reached out to push her away.

“No, I’m still scared. Let me borrow your embrace for a moment.” Nan Yin hadn’t recovered yet, still clinging tightly to his body, her soft figure trembling slightly and unconsciously rubbing against the man’s casual pants.

Almost as if they were fused together.

Realizing this, the veins at the man’s temples throbbed.

Siren.

Back in high school, he already knew she was beautiful. At that time, he felt that he and she were two parallel lines.

She probably wouldn’t have been interested in a cold, boring man like him either.

Yet, after all these years since graduation, she had suddenly returned to Su City and come to provoke him?

How infuriating.

Did she think of him as just another one of the men she had toyed with before?

Once she’d had enough,

she’d kick him aside.

He wouldn’t let her succeed.

“Nan Yin!” The man’s jaw tightened, the darkness in his eyes deep enough to swallow someone whole.

Nan Yin suddenly heard him gritting her full name, realizing he remembered her. Instantly, she gave a charming smile, let go of her hands, and stood obediently to the side. With a flirtatious look in her eyes, she said word by word, as if coquettishly, “You remember me now?”

“Why did you say you didn’t remember earlier?”

“Why did you pretend not to know?”

Fu Shi said slowly, “Do you think we have any connection?”

Nan Yin: ?

Alright, alright. Right, right.

He was right.

They really didn’t have much of a connection in high school, but that didn’t mean he had to pretend not to know her, did it?

Could it be that he really wasn’t interested in her type?

Considering this possibility, Nan Yin couldn’t help but feel a slight twinge of sourness in her heart. But she wasn’t about to give up. So what if he wasn’t interested?

She had to give it a try.

“No connection, but I’ve always remembered you. You were quite famous in high school—handsome, a good student, and most importantly, physically fit and strong. Don’t women tend to choose strong partners when selecting a mate?” Nan Yin crossed her arms, leaning against the elevator mirror. She was beautiful, and even with her composure restored, she still had a kind of intimidating beauty. She continued slowly, “I’m no exception. I want a man like you.”

Fu Shi glanced down at her with dark eyes. To avoid falling into this woman’s trap,

he kept a stern face and ignored her.

“Oh, right, the class monitor said there’s a class reunion. Are you going?” Nan Yin continued on her own.

Fu Shi frowned. “No.”

Nan Yin guessed it, “I’m going, you coming too?”

“I’ll wait for you.”

Fu Shi glanced at her, his tone still distant, “I don’t have time.”

Nan Yin let out an “oh,” her lips curving into a soft smile as she repeated the same line, “It’s fine, I’ll wait for you.”

“As long as you don’t worry about me getting drunk by the guys in our class.”

“They’ve been looking forward to my return, wanting to catch up over drinks.” Nan Yin deliberately added fuel to the fire.

Although she knew Fu Shi might not care about what she said.

But she just wanted to test him?

“If you’re really worried about getting drunk, you don’t have to go,” Fu Shi said.

Nan Yin raised her hand and made a “NO” gesture. Her fingers were beautiful, slender and long, the pink nail polish on her fingertips shimmering with a delicate glow under the elevator light, looking lovely.

“I’m not like you. I still value my friendships with classmates, so I’m definitely going.” As soon as Nan Yin finished speaking, the elevator doors slid open with a soft ding.

Fu Shi looked at her with a dark gaze, his thin lips pressed tightly together as if he wanted to say something but held back. In the end, he chose not to speak and strode out. Nan Yin followed closely behind, the two of them walking one after the other. Finally, Fu Shi couldn’t hold back any longer, “Why are you following me?”

Nan Yin waved the room key between her fingers, “I’m staying across from you.”

“From now on, I’m going to chase you properly.”

“I didn’t dare to in high school, but now I’m determined to win you over.”

The petite woman wasn’t angered by his dark expression or the cold atmosphere. Her gaze remained gentle as she turned around, swiped her card, and entered her room.

After she closed the door, Fu Shi relaxed his furrowed brow, only then realizing he had “invited a wolf into his home.”

Late at night, a stiflingly hot night breeze began to blow outside the apartment. The wind was strong, carrying fine dust particles in the air as it repeatedly slapped against the floor-to-ceiling windows on the 17th floor.

There was no significant noise, only faint, subtle collisions.

Yet it was precisely these faint disturbances that caused the man lying in bed to experience his first bout of insomnia. The handsome man lay on his side, tossing and turning, his mind and body uncontrollably replaying the scene from earlier in the elevator when he had held her close.

Soft, sweet.

Her brows carried a captivating charm, enchanting.

A single smile could steal one’s soul.

As his thoughts drifted further, her image appeared in his consciousness—wearing a sheer cheongsam, beautiful and alluring.

She sat there, her hands kneading his chest muscles, teasing.

Her fingertips were painted with pink nail polish.

Her sharp nails pinched his muscles, sending shivers down his spine.

And she smiled like a seductress, leaning close to his ear, her breath fragrant as she whispered with a smile, “Fu Shi, what are you pretending for?”

“You knew we were old classmates all along, yet you kept pretending not to know me, huh? What’s on your mind?”

“Let me tell you, no man can escape my grasp.”

“You’re no exception—surrender to me obediently, okay? I can give you—” The last part sounded like a bewitching spell.

It made Fu Shi’s throat tighten. He abruptly opened his dark eyes, pushed himself up with his hands on the bedsheet, his expression grim as he rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom to wash his face.

After splashing cold water on his face.

The alluring images in his mind vanished.

He felt much more awake, walking barefoot across the carpet to the refrigerator, where he took out a can of cold beer. He popped open the tab and took several large gulps.

The icy alcohol slid down his throat, chilling it.

Fu Shi set the beer can down, turned, and sat on the sofa. He picked up a specially supplied gold cigarette from the coffee table, lit it, clenched it between his teeth, and began to smoke.

Wispy, thin trails of smoke drifted from his thin lips.

Fu Shi’s dark eyes were somber as he unlocked his phone screen.

There were three text messages from high school classmates on his phone, all inviting him to a class reunion.

He didn’t reply.

The meaning was clear—he didn’t want to go.

But for some reason, just now, when he heard that woman say she wanted the other male classmates to get her drunk and take advantage of her, an inexplicable, cold fury ignited within him.

He could clearly choose not to go. What was all this talk about classmate camaraderie? And yet, she insisted on rushing headlong into being forced to drink by men?

Fu Shi bit down hard on the cigarette butt in his mouth, his eyes dark as an ice cavern.

The next second, he exhaled a thick cloud of smoke, forcefully pressed out the cigarette butt with his thumb, and remembering that she had rented the place next door, the man opened Qin Deng’s contact and dialed.

Qin Deng was sleeping soundly at this hour. The sudden call in the middle of the night startled him awake. Groggily, he picked up the phone from under his pillow and held it to his ear. “Hello?”

“Qin Deng, it’s me.” Fu Shi’s deep voice came through.

Qin Deng’s mind jolted awake instantly. He quickly glanced at the time on his phone screen—three o’clock??? Damn, was his boss okay?

Not sleeping at three in the morning? What was he doing?

Was he still at the office? But Qin Deng clearly remembered he had gone home early.
