"So your goal isn't the Viper Gang's bootleg liquor, but the money Xinyi Gang uses for the trade?"
Summer Rhapsody snapped his fingers.
"Talking to smart people is always easier."
From the start, Summer Rhapsody's target wasn't the bootleg liquor, but the money from Xinyi Gang.
Once the money is seized, they can leave immediately and spend it.
Bootleg liquor, on the other hand, is a hassle.
They'd have to find buyers to offload it.
The Viper Gang often does business with the Xinyi Gang in Baiyang County.
Plus, the Viper Gang is a major faction in Zhuohong City, with guns and manpower at their disposal, so there's no risk of a double-cross.
But if a player gang without any backing tried to trade with a county gang, they'd be left with nothing but bones.
"So what's the plan?"
Players can communicate using the Great Xia Language, which the natives can't understand at all.
There's no worry about exposure, even in front of a waiter.
The waiter would just assume the players are speaking a language other than Qing Language.
"Ahem..."
Summer Rhapsody cleared his throat.
As an insider in the Viper Gang, he was the player who triggered the [Bootleg Liquor] quest.
After triggering the [Bootleg Liquor] quest, Summer Rhapsody quickly contacted another player, Qin Feng, known as "Little Tyrant Reading Pen."
As a bartender at the Four Seas Tavern, "Little Tyrant Reading Pen" had access to a wealth of information.
Through "Little Tyrant Reading Pen," they could definitely connect with reliable players to conspire on big plans.
Qin Feng did not disappoint Summer Rhapsody and quickly brought "Zaun Mom Hunter" and "Chicken Soup Is Here" into the fold.
"My boss is Chai Kun."
"For this bootleg liquor transport to Baiyang County, there are eighteen of us, including Chai Kun and me."
"Four long guns, but they're old models, not the finely crafted standard weapons, most likely cobbled together by black market arms dealers."
"The rest are all equipped with revolvers and shotguns, effective range no more than fifty meters."
Bootleg liquor is heavily scrutinized now.
Transporting it directly to Baiyang County by train is impossible.
The same goes for cargo ships.
So Chai Kun can only use the most primitive method, transporting the bootleg liquor by donkey cart along country roads to Baiyang County.
The final trading location with the Xinyi Gang is set at an abandoned factory on the outskirts of Baiyang County.
Summer Rhapsody logged into "Land of Divine Descent" fifteen days ago.
As a modern person with higher education, Summer Rhapsody quickly became Chai Kun's right-hand man by offering strategic advice.
"Knowing Chai Kun's firepower, route, and trading location, we have plenty of room to maneuver."
Cao Yi raised his hand, indicating he had something to say.
"So how do we get our guns?"
"Don't tell me you have a channel for long guns and the money to buy them?"
Trying to take down both the Viper Gang and Xinyi Gang with just a few revolvers is a pipe dream.
Unless one of the five players is actually named Arthur Morgan.
And long guns cost at least twice as much as revolvers, often with no market availability.
Five players, five long guns, plus the cost of ammunition, and the profit margin isn't that great.
Not to mention the huge risk to their lives.
"Spending money is out of the question..."
"Chicken Soup Is Here" said with a smile.
In fact, the five of them couldn't pool enough money to buy even one long gun.
"I'm the warehouse manager at the Beizha District Sheriff Headquarters."
"There's an abandoned armory here, and I can get the keys..."
"That armory isn't checked more than once every couple of months."
"I snuck in before and found a few Hound Standard Rifles, old but definitely functional."
"If we decide to act, I can steal those rifles anytime."
After the job's done, they can return the rifles.
No one would be the wiser.
It seems Qin Feng's group is well-prepared.
They're not just sitting around shooting the breeze.
"But the armory only has guns, no ammunition."
This is the biggest challenge the player group faces right now.
"Hmm..."
Summer Rhapsody glanced at Cao Yi.
Even without an explanation, Cao Yi should understand that players generally have stronger combat abilities than the natives.
Of course, Classholders aren't included in this comparison.
Players can acquire certain skills through special scenarios and events.
Once they master these skills, their combat abilities significantly surpass gang members.
This is one of the reasons Summer Rhapsody dares to take on the Viper Gang.
They may not become sharpshooters, but their accuracy would far surpass the Viper Gang's wild shots.
From what Summer Rhapsody knows about Chai Kun's crew, they might not even be able to see someone two hundred meters away.
"I have a preliminary plan for the ammunition."

This time, it was "Zaun Mom Hunter" speaking.
In this small group, no player is just freeloading.
Everyone is using their own channels to complete a part of the plan.
"Zaun Mom Hunter" has connections with black market arms dealers.
He can order a large quantity of 7.62 rounds from them, but "Zaun Mom Hunter" doesn't have the money.
The players need enough ammo to practice.
They also need to keep enough ammo for the showdown with the Viper Gang and Xinyi Gang.
At least a thousand rounds need to be purchased.
Ideally, two thousand rounds.
According to the price given by the arms dealer, one Copper Mark can buy three 7.62×55mm rounds.
This is the caliber for the Hound Standard Rifle.
If bought in bulk, there's a discount.
But even with a discount, acquiring two thousand rounds requires six hundred Copper Marks.
However, the transaction doesn't require full payment upfront.
According to the rules of the trade, a thirty percent deposit is paid first, and the balance is settled after inspecting the goods on site.
So "Zaun Mom Hunter's" plan is to use Summer Rhapsody's connections to take out a large high-interest loan from the Viper Gang as a deposit.
Whether the deal goes through or not, Summer Rhapsody can't continue with the Viper Gang anyway.
It's a way to make use of this identity before discarding it.
"Zaun Mom Hunter" places an order with the arms dealer.
Two thousand rounds of ammo, plus a few revolvers.
A transaction of this scale can't happen in the city, most likely it'll be at an abandoned farm or factory on the outskirts.
The balance, of course, won't be settled.
Because they can't borrow that much money.
"Zaun Mom Hunter" plans to double-cross and eliminate the arms dealer.
However, "Chicken Soup Is Here" is in Beizha District and has a formal job, making it inconvenient to act.
Summer Rhapsody has to attend to Chai Kun, making it hard to get away.
The only ones who can actually take action are "Zaun Mom Hunter" and "Little Tyrant Reading Pen."
